The cottage was delightful and well furnished. The large patio/deck was wonderful to enjoy. My pups and i enjoyed swimming in the lake. Overall, this property was exactly as advertised! We very much enjoyed our week-long stay!

Our host was wonderful, communication was excellent. The cabin is located on the lake with gorgeous views, picture worthy! The cabin was inviting, cozy, and plenty of games and amenities. I would stay again.

This is a GEM in the making, it wasn't a great drive getting there. Kind of like Mexico trips, but once we got there and inside the gate it was not a great drive up appeal. Need ground maintenance but the inside was nice a little dusty. The kitchen had great coffee and all the needs for your stay. Great views with firepit bring your own wood. For the PRICE I will stay again. Can't wait to see what type Gem this will be. Thanks.

Spacious house, great amenities, super clean, responsive communication with the host and the view was priceless!! Walking around in the backyard and admiring the sunset, while making s’mores, just couple of feet from the lake!! It was an amazing experience!! We are looking forward for our next adventure in this beautiful property!!

We had a great time! The property was well kept and the neighbors were friendly without being intrusive. The kitchen had all of the basic amenities and the rest of the house was very comfortable.

This was truly a lovely lakeside cabin with a great deck and views of the lake. Very accommodating kitchen (I want that fridge!), fabulous master bath, and it was really great having the separate AC unit in the 3rd bedroom as there were quite a variety of heat/cool preferences among our group. I wish I could have left a 5-star rating truly; however, there were several things that caused a bit of difficulty. The TP was definitely 1-ply - and this may be due to the requirements of their septic, but there are definitely better quality TPs that work with a septic system. Also, the toilets were very low (for us older folks, that can be a problem - and it would require some expense to change out your toilets) along with the beds - especially the one in the 3rd bedroom. Other than those things, it was a really great place to stay. Good location to our friends, excellent views and deck, and hosts that were very communicative.

Beautiful cabin on the lake

Great place to stay. The road getting there was a little rough, but once we were there the place had everything we needed. My brother and I were in the area to visit my sister.We ate breakfast on the porch everyday. In the evening we relaxed watching TV in the living room. Our days were spent with our sister.We would stay there again.

Great house, beautiful deck, amazing views!

House was better than advertised! Kitchen had everything we needed, love seats in the living room were very comfortable, views from the house were amazing, beds were comfy and the main bedroom/bathroom with awesome shower were fantastic. The property was beautiful…we had a blast experiencing the solar eclipse from the awesome dock! The neighbors on both sides were friendly and visited with us when we would see them outside. Only hiccup was not having internet one night, so we were unable to watch live TV or stream anything…Huan explained that they’re going to be upgrading to fiber internet in the area soon.

Had a great time.

House was very clean and had everything we needed. Master bedroom and shower are very nice while the other 2 rooms were decent. As the host states it is in the country. Cats and dogs were running around everywhere and the neighborhood isn’t the nicest but we had 0 issues during our stay. Neighbors were friendly and no one bothered our vehicles or boats while parked at the dock. Boat house is unusable so we had to tie off in one particular spot that had rails around the dock. Wouldn’t be ideal for anyone that isn’t physically capable to leave your boat at the dock. Communication with the host was very quick and we would stay here again for sure. Caught a lot of fish off the dock in the evenings.

We were surprised, and not in a good way

I want to be clear that the owner was nice, very accessible, and accommodating, and the house itself wasn't bad, although much smaller than we expected. Our biggest issue with this property was the neighborhood. We had 6 people staying at this property for our son's wedding and it was supposed to be a joyous weekend for us all. However, as we left the county road, onto unmaintained private roads, and then had to navigate massive craters in the road while passing run-down properties full of junk, stray dogs, and sketchy surroundings, we began to wonder if we were being pranked! This home is located in one of the most run-down neighborhoods we've ever been in, and we're country folk. There were random dogs jumping on us when we unloaded our cars, and lots of cats staring into our windows during the weekend. The drive up appeal to the house is not great either. Once we got there, we realized that the owner had shown no pictures of the outside of this cabin. It's a cabin, y'all. The views of the lake and sunset and the back yard and the pier on the water were all amazing. Once we got over the initial shock, we settled in for the weekend and it was a great house. It is definitely well appointed with all new stuff inside and we can tell the owner has put investment into it. All-in-all, we didn't get robbed and enjoyed the weekend, but just know what you're getting into.

Our stay was excellent, it's a double wide modular with an epic deck. Primary bathroom is phenomenal, that shower, oh my gosh. Love. The games and the amenities are perfect for a family of 4 with 2 dogs. Unfortunately, the access to the water from shore is incredibly difficult, like throw your back out difficult. Thank goodness the dock is 100% jumpable, I just had to ignore the dilapidated steps into the water and jump! It's a sandy soft bottom the whole way out. Highlights; dock! deck! shower! Games! Bedding! Host communication and super friendly and Jonny-on-the-spot!Downside; we never used the kayaks, it's just near impossible to get those down the bent and broken stairs into the water, but we just jumped off the dock, didn't need them. And...the neighborhood is sketchy as it gets, but hey, it's east TX, that's what you get. The neighbors to the left happened to be related to a close friend of ours! We had a blast talking and hanging out with them. Would I go again? Absolutely! The land, pet friendly, the dock, the house, fenced in. Loved it.
