Desfrute de uma vista espectacular neste três quartos muito espaçosos, um banheiro e meio Balmain casa. Há estacionamento na rua disponível, ou é apenas uma curta viagem de balsa para a nova zona comercial, Barangaroo, com fácil acesso de lá a Circular Quay, a Sydney Opera House e a CBD (Downtown).

O espaço:
Entre a partir da rua em um lindo estilo toscano pisou no jardim do pátio com árvores frutíferas espaliered e canteiros de ervas. As portas duplas conectam o pátio a uma grande cozinha gourmet totalmente equipada, com lava-louças, fogão a gás, forno elétrico a ventilador, microondas e cafeteira, além de uma mesa com capacidade para oito pessoas confortavelmente. Fora desta cozinha é uma lavanderia de tamanho familiar com WC. Continue para a área de jantar separada com uma mesa para quatro pessoas e um par de poltronas confortáveis, e depois para uma sala de estar sumptuosa com um sofá de dois lugares, mais duas poltronas e uma televisão de ecrã plano.

No próximo nível, você encontrará três quartos bem equipados com aquecimento / arrefecimento de ciclo reverso, dois dos quais também têm ventiladores de teto. Todos os três quartos têm camas queen size e vista para o horizonte da cidade, Sydney Harbour ou Anzac Bridge. Há também um banheiro neste andar com banheira.

No terceiro nível, há um grande terraço na cobertura com vistas absolutamente deslumbrantes da cidade, ótimo para entretenimento ou uma vista perfeita do mundialmente famoso show de fogos de artifício de Ano Novo de Sydney.

Historic Balmain é apenas longe o suficiente dos principais centros turísticos de Circular Quay, Sydney Opera House e do CBD para ter a sua atmosfera relaxante, mas perto o suficiente para chegar à ação em dez minutos, se você precisar. Com lojas, mercados e uma abundância de restaurantes nas proximidades, é o local perfeito.

O hotel fica a uma curta caminhada dos ônibus e do cais de Balmain, com serviços regulares de balsa pelo famoso porto de Sydney, até Barangaroo e Circular Quay, ambos próximos às estações de trem e CBD de Sydney. Se você tem um carro, há estacionamento fácil na rua em frente à propriedade.

One of the best vacation rental experiences

The property is delightful with many decks/balconies overlooking the harbor. Easy to get to via ferry and after hectic days exploring Sydney its a great escape on which to enjoy a glass to wine. The hosts are great and offer many suggestions of place to visit and eat which one might not find in a guidebook. Finally the property has everything one might want in terms of good WiFi, towels, kitchen ware,...

We were four work colleagues in Sydney for a trade show. the property was fantastic as centrally located to pubs n restaurants only a short walk for dinner after a busy day. Beautiful views and superbly fitted out with old world decor

A perfect Christmas

This house is awesome. Quiet, peaceful, spacious, stunning view and such a variety of places to sit including the lovely roof garden. We had a lovely 4 days and our hosts could not have been more accommodating.

Bugs and Filth in Balmain

We booked this property over the holiday season and chose this property because of the 3 bedrooms and rooftop fireworks. Giacomo was a pleasure to deal with prior to our arrival and very helpful with questions relating to New Year’s. However, upon arrival it became very clear that this property was drastically over represented and over valued for the condition it is in. The towels were stained, and the headboard in the master bedroom also had a huge stain. Disgusting! The whole house has a dank smell (my kids were gagging). The upstairs bathroom had a drainage problem and water pools up on the bathroom floor, making the bathroom difficult to use. We had to take really quick showers to avoid a swamp! There were also dozens of BUGS on the ceiling in the bathroom. When we called Giacomo extremely upset, he offered to send a cleaning lady to come inspect the property. She never showed up! Giacomo also offered to refund a portion of our money and once we checked out, he refused to do so. In short, very disappointed that Giacomo refused to keep his word regarding a discount on the very overpriced rates he was charging during the holiday week. We wound up seeing the fireworks on a boat for the 9 o’clock show which was wonderful and returning to the house to view the midnight fireworks on the rooftop, which was also wonderful. But not worth the price we paid for the conditions we endured during our week of vacation!

Best place to enjoy Sydney

We have stayed with Giacomo and Lynn before in their other beautiful property, so we were delighted to stay in this house! The home is beautifully decorated, with all modern conveniences. We appreciated the extra adapters for our technology. We loved the peaceful location and easy access to the ferry. Great two pubs in town with exceptional food! We will be back!

Highly recommend this property!

Giacomo went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable. He met us at the property and walked us thru every room explaining how to operate the awnings and all features of each room. He even supplied us with Opal passes so that we could use the public transportation (ferries, buses, and trains), he asked we give a small fee for this but saved us the hassle of having to get our own passes which require a deposit. Giacomo spent a great deal of time with us explaining the transportation available to us as well as the lay of the land for shopping, dining, location/ times of various terminals. I will be back! Thank you Giacomo.

Excellent location, house and hosts

We are travellers from Vienna and have visited Sydney for 10 days in January 2019. From the time we booked, everything (check-in instructions, contact information, codes, etc) was communicated with great clarity. At our arrival, we instantly felt welcomed. The hosts are a wonderful Australian couple with a great empathy for travellers. The residence is an amazing villa with a view of the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge and Sydney Darling harbour. The house is very clean, with a fully equipped kitchen; we enjoyed preparing our breakfast every day. The location was terrific; the neighbourhood is quiet and safe. We loved our 10 minutes walks to Balmain East ferry every day (stopping for a coffee at café Euphoria), catching a ferry to Circular Quay (15 minutes) or Darling Harbour (8 minutes). The house exceeded our expectations and made our holidays in Sydney very special.

Great house with fantastic views of Sydney, a gem

Amazing landlords offering a great family home for our recent trip to Sydney. A very comfortable property in a super location offering the best views for our new year celebrations. Easy access to everything via boat or bus, the perfect base with great independent shops, cafes and restaurants on the door step. We were made very welcome, given great advise and tips on where to go and how to get around. A big thank you to Giacomo & Lyn, we will definitely be recommending your home to friends and family 👍😀

Great place to explore Sydney. The ferry terminal is a beautiful 10 min walk and the ferries get you everywhere. The house is beautiful and very well maintained. The roof top patio is where we would spend our evenings . Nice to see the Cruise ships come and go.. Ken was a great host and very helpful. Just a couple of notes. There is one shower for the 3 bedrooms, but has another washroom downstairs. Also the stairs to the rooftop are quite narrow and might be difficult for anyone who has trouble with stairs. The house was exactly what we were looking for and exactly what is described. Highly recommended

Historic House with Great Harbour Bridge Views

With the idea to visit Sydney for the NYE world famous fireworks I located this place that had such amazing reviews. I was hesitant at first because my choice was for this house with the Rooftop Garden with direct uninterrupted views of the Harbour Bridge or to choose their other house next door without the rooftop garden but with 3 bathrooms and also exceptional reviews. I eventually settled on this one because of the ability to have complete access to the rooftop garden and enjoy the NYE fireworks for the whole family and friends. The best decision I had made for the entire trip. EVERYONE in our party and visitors we had over absolutely LOVED the house and it’s amazing location in the Inner City. The NYE fireworks by the way were just outstanding, more than living up to our expectations. We felt we were right in the action with brilliant view lines right across the city skyline and Harbour Bridge. Spectacular. The house itself creates it’s own energy and warmth as soon as you enter from the kitchen. It is just so interesting and inviting with a beautiful polished terracotta floor. Very Italian / Mediterranean with an abundance of utensils and appliances if you like to cook. Clearly the owners do. The rest of the house is so charming and very comfortable. Linens and other amenities were all first class and we constantly thought how lucky we were to have chosen this house and its great location. This is really Inner City living without all the high-rise. That’s part of the spectacular view and it’s so quiet.   We actually hired a car because we planned a day trip to the Blue Mountains with our children but aside from that trip we did not need a car at all. Public transport is so easy to use and first class and you can’t beat that Ferry trip to the city every day, passing by the Opera House and under the SHB. You can get to all the tourist spots in no time at all. No wonder Balmain is so popular. We had a great time. A memorable time. Don’t hesitate. This is a great place.

Stunning Views

Lyn and Giacomo's place is conveniently located to sites within walking distance and just minutes away to the heart of Sydney via public transportation. The Villa is beautiful and comfortable. It is well cared for and stocked with every accoutrement imaginable. The harbor views from the bedrooms and patio are absolutely stunning and the perfect spot for morning coffee. I highly recommend this location. Giacomo is the most gracious and thoughtful host. From the time I arrived until my departure he went out of his way to ensure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. He was also extremely informative regarding sites to see, things to do and how to get around. Thank you for making my first visit to Australia simply wonderful. I look forward to my next stay.

Couldn't have been more perfect!!!

Our two 17 year old granddaughters wanted to come to Sydney, and we thought it might be the perfect graduation gift. Grandpa stayed home (in Oklahoma, USA) and our two sons accompanied the girls and I for a whirlwind, wonderful vacation. I can't say enough about our home away from home! The girls absolutely loved it! It is beautiful, quirky, comfortable, decorated with so many interesting furnishings, the garden area is a delight, and the balconys and roof garden were so much fun. Giacomo and Lyn were so helpful, accommodating and kind from the time we made the reservations until we left for home. Always available and ready to answer questions and help out. Balmain East was the perfect area, too. We mostly used the ferry, because they were so close and convenient. Circular Quay, Darling Harbor, Barangaroo, Manly Beach, Taronga Zoo-all an easy trip on the ferry. For a few longer trips, we used the buses and train. Thank you, Giacomo and Lynn! We feel we were truly blessed to find you and your home for our trip to Sydney. We will never forget it!

Historic House with great location and views!

We loved this historic house with all its character. The Balmain area was great and away from the bustle of Sydney and yet easy ferry access to anywhere. The only challenge was the bathroom, but once we got the hang of they system we were fine. Thanks to both Giacomo and Lyn for all their tips and for greeting us and familiarizing us with the home. The outdoor areas were amazing and we were lucky to have fireworks visible from two harbors on our last night. This home was exactly as we expected and more. I'd recommend to travelers who love to walk or if you have a car, but I suggest avoinding traffic and walk and use ferry system. We truly felt at home and it was a great place to end our first visit to Australia!

From the moment you enter this place , you feel at home. It is like visiting family. The house is filled with old world charm along with modern conveniences. The views of the city from the balconies are just beautiful. This was a perfect home base for visiting Sydney. You have the feeling of living in a small town but in close proximity to a major city. I will recommend this place to anyone who wants the place they stay to be an intricate part of the overall experience. Thank you Lyn and Giocomo for being such gracious hosts. Cheers!

Still superb!

Some years ago we retired from city life to live in the country. However we return regularly to visit the city and always stay in Balmain East as we regard the Grafton Rd residence as the best house and location in Sydney. In addition to the top quality accommodation are the wonderful hosts Giacomo and Lyn. They are extremely friendly and so very helpful. When staying here we don't need to use a car as Sydney's public transport system and ease of accessing it from the house is outstanding. Only minutes to walk to ferries and buses with pleasant quick rides to the city then easy connections to the train system if needed. Getting from the airport to the residence is straight forward. We jump on the airport train to Circular Quay then take the ferry to Balmain East. The area itself has many shops, restaurants, pubs and coffee stops available - all a short walk from the house. You won't miss out on good food or coffee when staying in Balmain. The area has interesting architecture and is quite historical - well worth spending some time walking around the district and harbour side parks. So if you are planning to visit Sydney you really should be thinking about Balmain East. And of course staying at Giacomo and Lyn's beautiful accommodation which overlooks the harbour and is just a short hop to the city.

Tuscan Villa Overlooking Sydney Harbor

Great accommodations in a great location in the Balmain East suburb of Sydney. Comfortable house with super friendly hosts that will make you feel right at home. And the views are simply outrageous. There is a balcony and city view from several of the rooms and a bonus roof top terrace. The kitchen is huge and is very well stocked with appliances, pots, pans and utensils. The ferry is nearby as are restaurants and shops. We will return!

Great location

Visitors from North America may find this home a bit small compared to rental accommodations back home but don’t let that dissuade you. This older heritage home is in a very upscale neighbourhood very close to the harbour and only a 10-15 minute walk from the ferry which takes you anywhere you need to go in Sydney. The home is quite lovely with a beautiful rooftop dining area which gives a great view of Sydney harbour. Streets are narrow and parking is limited in this area so I would recommend skipping a car and just using public transit which is excellent. You can get an opal card, load it with $20 and use it like a debit card to get around on the bus or ferry. There is a grocery store about a10 minute walk away as well and lots of restaurants at the various ferry stops. Giacomo is very accommodating and responsive to your inquiries and will provide you with many helpful recommendations on things to do and ways to get around. I would certainly stay here again if we are ever back in Sydney.

Really enjoyed our stay at Giacomo & Lyns place. Away from the hectic pace of Sydney CBD, but close enough to access easily. Balmain East has a great vibe, good restaurants along Darling Street. House is roomy and well maintained. Giaocomo readily available for assistance on best way to get around.

Brilliant in every way.

Location, accommodation, amenities, public transport are all unbeatable. The view spectacular. Perfect for business or tourist aspects alike. You won’t be disappointed.
