The property has a hot tub that’s shared with the property managers. It’s underneath a gazebo so you can even use it in the rain! Outside you’ll also find a patio table and seating for 6, a washer and dryer with laundry detergent, and covered parking for one vehicle. We also provide beach towels and 2 beach chairs for your seaside excursions.

Good base of operations

Close enough to the city to be convenient but far enough to be away from the crowds and live more like a local.

House was nice, driveway was dangerous

  • 4 of 5

We arrived at the house after the time it was supposed to be available and it was locked. Had to call the owner and wait outside for more than 30 minutes, wet from the beach and needing to use the restroom. He arrived and asked how we got his number and blamed the property manager for the mistake. Over all the property was nice and accommodated 10 of us easily. The kids enjoyed the hot tub. The driveway is very steep and backs out onto a blind curve.

Friendly owner

  • 4 of 5

I want to start by saying the owner was super nice. We got locked out of the apartment because someone in our group took both keys by mistake, and he came within 30 minutes to get us back in. There's floaty's, snorkeling gear, lifevests, boogie boards, and other water toys available to use whenever we wanted, which was nice. The biggest bummer is that in hideaway 1, the air conditioning was broken. The fan portion worked, but the air was not cool. Also the electrical outlet in the kitchen of hideaway 2 did not work. We called the next day when we figured all this out, and he came out the same day. Although, he never ended up fixing the air conditioning, even though he had said he would replace it. The kitchen outlet, he tried to fix, but ended up needing an electrician. It has a nice big yard which was great for the kids to run around. There's a huge ant problem, but as long as you do the dishes as soon as you use them it wasn't that big of an issue. Also, Hawaii has a huge cockroach problem, even in hotels, so bring or buy raid that really helped us. The place is on a huge downhill, so getting the garbage cans to the curb was a pain. Also, it made parking difficult. The other thing that surprised me, was that it had no basic kitchen staples. For example, there was no salt and pepper or sugar. It had pots and pans, utensils, cups, plates, etc. Overall, we had a good time and the property was a nice place to just chill.

P. S. Secret tip: If you keep driving up the hill, there's a great state park that has a view looking over all of Honolulu. It's called Tantalus point, definitely got to do it.

Enjoyed the hot tub

  • 5 of 5

Our family enjoyed the stay at this home. It's close to everything we wanted to travel to.

I would stay here again when we travel to Oahu.

We especially loved the hot tub.

Nice property...poor timing

  • 3 of 5

We rented this property for a couple of nights, with a departure on New Year's Day. It is a nice place that matches the description and has a good location, just up a winding road that looks over Honolulu. My issue with this trip was that I had asked the property manager for a late check out, because 10am on January 1st isn't most people's best moment of the year. He could give us an extra hour, which would be fine. Except, there was a cleaner there when we arrived at 7pm on the 30th. She left the place spotless and smelling of chemical cleaners...not really the scent you'd expect when you arrive for your Hawaiian vacation. I hadn't told the property manager when we were arriving and find it to be poor planing that there was still someone cleaning after dark. To then ask us to make sure we get out of there in a timely manner on a holiday, definitely didn't sit well with me or any of my traveling companions.
