Salish Sea Getaway

Cozy comfortable cottage with private patio and hot tub overlooking the Salish sea. Sea otters frolicking and eagles soaring around us. Lovely host Pat was very welcoming to us and our sea dog Mishka.

Amazing

I was extremely impressed with the location and Patricia was a very sweet lady. She brought us cinnamon buns from lunch which I know are very noteworthy. I will definitely be booking that place again

Beautiful view and relaxing stay!!

The property was even nicer than the listing pictures. The property is clean, tidy and well maintained. The host is responsive and easy to contact. The cottage feels very comfortable and cozy, with nice furniture, quality bedding and a very relaxing atmosphere. We enjoyed the hot tub after our day of hiking. We will definitely be back!!

An absolutely beautiful little cottage right beside the water. Quiet and peaceful. Highly recommended and we’ll definitely be back.

A beautiful spot and cabin, though we were surprised to get an extra $50 charge the first night (because of our dog) without any discussion or communication -- to be honest that kind of ruined the mood. Also, bring literally everything you need with you - the cabin has very little in the way of basic amenities - extremely small amount of shampoo, soap, no body wash -- even sugar for coffee was nowhere to be found. The hairdryer was not working either. For a place in this price bracket we were disappointed. Sorry Pat, but we hope this feedback is helpful!

Christmas on the Sunshine Coast

The cabin and location were absolutely terrific! Having a fire or hot tub right on the ocean was a wonderful way to spend the holidays.It was enough room for the 3 of us and the property and grounds were very well kept.More cleaning products available for the guests to use would have been nice, limited supply of dish detergent, garbage bags and paper towel.With that being said when we asked the owner for more items, she was very responsive and eager to please. We would stay here again.

Perfect getaway spot!

We really enjoyed our stay in Pats cottage. It was very quiet and peaceful with a beautiful ocean view. We loved having a fireplace, laundry and the hot tub was a treat. Highly recommend

Perfect For Us

Quite and peaceful, it’s the perfect escape. For the better part of the past decade, we’ve spent most of our vacations in Powell River at Pat and Jason’s beautiful cottage. Location wise, it’s ideal. You’re far enough from town to enjoy stargazing at night, but only half an hour from the grocery stores. It offers amazing views, from the ocean on the patio to waking up to the view of the trees from the loft. Pat and Jason are fantastic hosts. If you have a question or need something, they’re quick to address it, but they also give guests lots of privacy. The cottage has a small but well appointed kitchen and the gas fireplace gives the living area a cozy glow at night. On rainy days, the porch offers sheltered seating and for sunny days the patio below is wonderful for watching the water for marine life. We’re already looking forward to our next stay!

Pour ceux qui recherche la tranquillité et le bien-être. Endroit isolé mais en total sécurité avec vue sur l'océan. Les animaux peuvent s'observer depuis le salon. Le cottage est d'excellente qualité.

Stunning, Inside and Out

It was wonderful. The cabin is perched on the shores of the ocean. It was impeccable. The host, Pat, was lovely. I would highly recommend this stay!

Beautiful location! Clean and comfortable cabin with lots of privacy. There was a hot tub malfunction on our last night but these things happen...Pat graciously refunded some money as a compensation. Very nice stay!

A little gem.

Firstly Pat is a lovely host; friendly, approachable, happy to help. (Ps her home made cookies were delightful!) She was very accommodating with our 9month old baby. The cabin/house is modern and has everything you need. (Seriously, everything) It’s nestled on a cliff with stunning views of the neighbouring islands. The sunsets are insane! You can watch them in the hot tub.

Expectations: exceeded

Rarely in life does reality exceed expectations, but Sea Dog cottage accomplished this! A beautiful, clean and comfortable cottage with all the comforts of home, it’s the outdoor space that’s the star here. There is a covered deck with dining table as well as Adirondack chairs, which was great for the rainy days. A few steps down a path and one discovers the most perfect seating area overlooking the water, complete with fire pit and hot tub. Could not ask for a more relaxing vacation spot. Patricia was the ideal host, quickly responding to any queries but otherwise left us to our own devices. Can’t wait to come back!!

Beautiful home and amazing stay

We had an absolutely wonderful time staying at Pat’s guest cottage. The place itself was beautiful and well appointed with a relaxing hot tub and a cozy fireplace. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware and the BBQ made for some delicious meals. Check with Pat before you book with pets, but we were able to bring our cat with us and he had a great time also. Pat was so accommodating for him and even left us a little goodie bag of cat treats and toys! We would absolutely love to come back, I can’t recommend this stay highly enough!
