It felt like home

This was an EXCELLENT STAY! Jon was the best! If we needed anything he made sure we had it. REALLY APPRECIATED when the temperatures dropped and the condo was chilly, Jon made sure we had a heater. The condo was spotless! Really enjoyed the property. They have beautiful flowers and it felt very welcoming. The condo was cozy, it truly felt like home. I loved the location. Close to the rec center, the ocean and places to eat.I can’t say enough good about Jon and the condo we really loved our stay. I would book again in a heartbeat.

Bed Bug Infestation Nightmare!

Bedbugs can happen to anyone, but this experience was a nightmare because of the way the host and VRBO have both failed to make us good in this situation. We paid for one month in advance. On the 10th night our 16 yr. old noticed bites on her body. We thought it was spiders. Three nights later she took video of bed bugs crawling in her bed that had been biting her. This is nightmare because you have to now disinfect and clean everything you have to make sure they don't travel with you, plus you now have to quickly find and move to a new location, packing up all of your stuff. Very troublesome and inconvenient. It has now been nearly a month since we vacated the property and complained to both the host and VRBO, after having to find another accommodation ourself, and we STILL have not received a single dollar in refund from either the host or VRBO. I spent nearly five hours on the phone with VRBO over four different calls after sending picture evidence of the bites and the bugs. Right now, the host nor VRBO has refunded any portion of our accommodation, even though we had to leave only 13 days into our stay after having paid for 30 days. VRBO wants to say they are only a marketing service, but I trusted them and I paid them for this accommodation, not the host.

This is an untruthful review. This guest was not refunded any money for his stay because after he started to complain of "bed bugs", I told him I would refund him the rest of his stay and he should leave immediately for his own health and safety. The guest refused to leave and decided to attempt to attack the "problem" himself. After he stayed on the property for several days after complaining of bed bugs, he finally left. I had a certified pest control company do a thorough examination of the property and there was ZERO EVIDENCE of bed bugs or any other bug activity. This guest also brought in their own mattress and left it in the property so even if there was any bug activity, it was brought in with the guest with their own mattress. Again, a pest control service found ZERO BUG ACTIVITY in the property. This proof and supporting documentation was forwarded to VRBO and they have it on record. I believe that this guest attempted to get out of the rental early by making a false claim of bed bugs and to try and get a refund. I worked with VRBO support throughout the entire process and they agreed with all of my actions. Unfortunately this guests false claims have totally skewed our rating as a CLEAN property which is extremely unfortunate and will affect our business as a result.
