WOW, everything you could ask for

  • 5 of 5

To start we were a group of four adults who are active and in our late 40's early 50's. We also brought our two dogs. The photos do not do this beautiful home enough justice. The kitchen if fully stocked and very user friendly to cook and prepare meals in. The open floor plan is awesome. The location is perfect. An easy drive to Acadia national park, and stores to shop at. Bar Harbor is 25 minutes away, but the drive is nice. The point being it is quiet and away from it all, but close enough to everything to enjoy. The fenced in yard is fantastic for the dogs. The views from the back porch are awe inspiring. We rented Kayaks for three days from Scotty's rental. They deliver and pick up right to the home. The owner is very accommodating and easy to reach and contact. Do yourself a huge favor and don't pass on this house. Some may want to be closer to the park or one of the Harbors, but the views and night time star gazing from here cannot be beat. The washer and dryer were also a big plus as we were able to pack lighter. We are already looking forward to our next visit to Wings Cottage.

Terrific dog-friendly home on the shore

  • 5 of 5

Lovely Maine vacation! The cottage is clean, comfortable, well equipped and well cared for. Big views, lots of shells and cool rocks, tides rising and falling, lobster boats on the bay, sunrise around the bend each morning, a milky way of stars at night, lots of squirrels and the Eagle shortly before dusk each day - the crows tipped us off. Plus close to town, close to Acadia and Bar Harbor. Great home base to explore. Great lobster on every street corner. Come hungry.

Perfection at Wings Cottage in Maine!

  • 5 of 5

Wings Cottage is what I’ve deemed a “magical place”. The setting on the coast is spectacular, but it is the care and meticulous upkeep by the owner that makes this charming cottage five star. From the minute you arrive, you feel welcomed at every level. The cottage and the grounds are kept pristine and everyone involved takes great pride in caring for the guests. The well-equipped kitchen has everything you could possibly need to cook a great meal or dessert. The sun porch is one of my favorite places to sneak in a morning coffee while gazing out at the lobster boats hauling their traps. And after a long day’s hike in Acadia, one just can’t wait to get back to Wings to sit on the swing on the porch and watch the moon reflect off the water while listening to nature as it envelops you. It is this magical cottage that keeps us coming back to Maine year after year. You can’t miss with this special rental!

Fantastic dog-friendly home in wonderful setting

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at Wings for two weeks, and it was a wonderful place to taking a "working vacation." The views of the ocean from the deck and windows were mesmerizing, and everything we needed and more was in the house. The space was really beautiful, and the kitchen had a huge array of high-quality cookware, making us feel truly at home. For those who need/want to work while visiting, the house has so many comfortable spots to sit with your laptop, and the view can almost make you forget you're working. The location was great too. It is in a very quiet neighborhood, near an awesome bakery that recently opened in Trenton, and it's a short drive to Acadia to enjoy amazing hiking or more leisurely walks along the carriage trails. We had our dog with us, and the house's fenced-in yard made our experience even better because we could let her outside knowing she didn't need constant monitoring. It was a fantastic experience, and we plan on returning next year.

Attractive cottage, beautiful location

  • 5 of 5

Wings is a very attractive cottage in a wonderful location. We enjoyed being away from it all but not far from it all: Bar Harbor and Acadia are not far, yet the cottage is secluded, quiet and very private. We enjoyed the tides, the incredible view, kayaking, sitting on the porch (at all hours), and cooking in the well-supplied kitchen. We enjoyed our time in Acadia, but we were always glad to be back at Wings. What a very special place.

Wonderful and relaxing!!!

  • 5 of 5

We had a really great and relaxing time at Wings, wonderful location, the girls had a great time playing in the ocean and collecting items and exploring the low tide area! The neighbors are very nice and friendly! The view is extraordinary! The cottage had all the necessary amenities, in good working order! A short drive to Acadia which has much to offer for biking and hiking and unique natural features.
