Cozy Private Historic House | 2 King Suites!

Historical Wallace House is included on the National Historic Register. A magnificent restoration of a historic 1889 Queen Ann Victorian home with one of the most interesting, significant, commercial & historical contributions in the development of Paducah. The former location of the House of Grace and the 9th Street Restaurant, this is a one of a kind home that has been preserved in all its glory! A couple blocks from the convention center and historic downtown. Bring your dogs, their crate, and come enjoy!

The entire home is on the second floor of the Historic Wallace House. You will experience the charm of a historic property with all of the modern touches you need.

All inside spaces that are pictured are private to you. The 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, laundry space, kitchen, living room, and hallway pictured are all your private residence during your stay. Outside there is a patio with a table and 4 chairs that is exclusively for you. You also have 2 reserved parking spots in the parking area. The only shared spaces are the yard space and

The home is set up with everything you should want and need! I am located in Nashville, TN, but I have staff locally that can assist if you need anything.

This property is located in the center of the historic Arts District among many other gorgeous Victorian homes.

There are a lot of one way roads in Paducah if you are traveling to the area for the first time! There are 2 complimentary parking spaces inside the gated area of this property with the unit number on them, if you have more than 2 cars please park the rest on the street out of courtesy for the other units.

This unit is on the 2nd floor of the home. Please see the pictures for steps if you have any mobility concerns.

Kitchen needs baking dishes, mixer and a new table that is not wrapped. I also informed them of the needs and very understanding and will pass on to the owner. We had problem with frig leaking which they sent someone right over but could not be fixed while we were there. We also had a plumbing problem with shower backing up once again she sent them right over to put drain cleaner in the drain. The house is a lovely place to stay and will stay again in the future. It meet our needs over the Thanksgiving trip to Paducah to visit family

Charming and roomy. Unfortunately the windows really dirty, so opening blinds and curtains was not an option. Air conditioner made horrible noise all night. Host apologized and was having maintenance look into it. It is pretty inside. The stairs are a little steep. Beautiful Victorian on the outside.

A lovely place to stay. That may have been the most comfortable mattress I've slept on, and it was so much nicer than staying in a hotel.

Nice, older home

This was a charming apartment in an old house. It had some imperfections, but most added fun character. Parking was easy and lock codes were provided before our arrival and worked. The stairs are not ideal, but worked for our family. There are long-term residents in the other apartments, but our interactions with them were good and minimal. We were visiting for a funeral and booked our stay last-minute and appreciated the ability for that. The host is very quick to respond. We did have an issue with the Wifi not working and her initial recommendation didn't work, but I didn't have time to respond to get further help. So I can't speak to if it actually works. There are also train tracks with two crossings very close, so be prepared for nightly train horns; thankfully not multiple times throughout the night so not a deal breaker. Otherwise, we didn't have any other issues and enjoyed our stay. We would consider staying again for future visits.

Birthday Trip

My mom, sister, and I all met in Paducah to celebrate my 40th birthday. We were all 3 very impressed with the house. It is decorated so beautifully. It was easy to find, parking was clearly marked, entry was easy, and everything inside was great. The host was quick to respond to messages. Highly recommend.

Cozy and private apartment

I staid with family and 2 infant grandchildren. We had the entire second floor of an historic building in Paducah. My son, daughter in law and grandkids stayed in the master and I took the second bedroom. The TV room has a large modular sofa that was great for hanging out. There was also an LP record player and a collection of vinyl records we enjoyed. Kitchen had 6 chairs and was well equipped. We plan to be back.

Very comfortable in a great location

My wife, dog and I stayed at this beautiful historic home. The location was great being just a few blocks from the downtown restaurants. The beds were very comfortable and the home had everything we needed for a great stay.

A charming girls' weekend!

This is beautiful property and was so comfortable. It made for a cozy stay for the weekend, though with such a spacious kitchen you could certainly stay longer, (you'd be limited on storage for clothes though). It is a second-story apartment in a renovated mansion with very high ceilings, so please consider that is mobility is an issue. Many thanks to our wonderful host, Jennifer!

Beautiful apartment!

Stayed here while visiting family in the area and had a great experience. The apartment is beautiful and extremely comfortable. The check in process and communication were fantastic. We would definitely stay here again! Only thing to note is that the entrance is up two flights of stairs. It was no issue for us and wouldn’t prevent us from coming back. Everything was wonderful!! Perfect place

It was a cute 2 bedroom place. Even though this house had other apartments, we didn’t even see or hear them. Had a really good time there. It was walking distance to the downtown…at least for us.

Disappointing

We had no internet, cable TV or heat for the first 24 hours of our stay. When we asked the property manager about it, her response was that she had had the Comcast tech and the heating contractor there the week before and that everything was working. We spent a very long time following her instructions, trying to get the internet back and the heat to come on. We spent the next evening dealing with these problems instead of enjoying ourselves. The cable guy came (at 5 pm) and discovered that the internet was out (modem wasn't working) because the extension cord was not secure and also that a new cable box was needed. The heating contractor came and flipped a switch in the breaker panel to get the heat to come on. The internet went out again the next morning prior to our departure. Overall, the space itself was disappointing. The kitchen was sparsely outfitted and the TV was positioned in a place where you couldn't comfortably see it.
