Sliding glass doors from the living room lead out to your large deck w/private backyard! The large primary suite is located on the main level w/ entry to deck & ensuite boasting dual sinks & separate shower/ tub! Enjoy added living space upstairs in the loft, where the additional bedrooms are located. Must Stay!

We spent an enjoyable 5 days at this gorgeous home. Beautifully decorated and on a large forested lot, we had the best of both worlds- the solitude and peacefulness of camping combined with the convenience of a large home close to shopping and dining. We really appreciated having such a lovely home to stay in that was pet friendly. A couple of items to keep in mind, however. The beds in this home were not the most comfortable if you prefer firmer mattresses. My husband ended up sleeping on the floor as he began having back issues from the beds. ( we tried 2 of the 4 bedrooms). Secondly, although the home is advertised as having central AC, the AC unit could not keep up with the temps we had during our visit (high 80’s).From about 2pm onward the house grew warmer and warmer, and never got below 82 degrees until after midnight. I ended up opening the sliding glass doors in the master bedroom in an effort to cool the room so I could sleep. Apart from these 2 issues, the home was a restful place to stay while we enjoyed a break from the grueling August temps in Phoenix. If these are fixed, this home would be a 5 star gem!

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: In good location, great property but needs some repairs. The left side cabinet door above the refrigerator has the top hinge broken so when you opened the refrigerator it dropped down and blocked the door from closing; so we took the whole door off. Dining room rug it a tripping hazard plus the outside cushions need replacing... Also, the housekeepers need to do a better job - crumbs underneath the place mats on the dining room table and food on chair cushions outside.

Property Owner Kept Damage Deposit Falsely and Not Responsive

The property itself was fine, location is great; however the property owner kept more than half of the damage deposit saying that we had an unplanned pet and accusing pet damage. I do not own a pet and did not bring a pet and did not cause scratching damages to the back door. The photos they attached accusing pet saliva and scratch marks to the back door were sent 10 days after we checked out and all data such as location, date and time had been purged from them. The owner did not respond at all when I argued the charges and they have not been responsive to VRBO yet either as I reached out to customer service for assistance with this claim. There are lots of beautiful options in Flagstaff, I would avoid this one due to the property owner/management.

Amberwood Forest Retreat Vacation Home

We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home nestled in the pine forests. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. The neighborhood was peaceful and quiet. It was close to hiking trails which is our favorite thing to do when we visit Flagstaff. We highly recommend this vacation home and would love to stay here again.

This was an amazing place to stay. It was clean and spacious. My family wants to stay here again if we ever come to flagstaff again .

Beautiful home!

This home was fantastic! It is absolutely beautiful, and located in a beautiful neighborhood as well! It had everything that we needed, and even had access to parking our vehicle in the garage, which was unexpected! We saw over 20 deer in the backyard at sunset every night! Highly recommend!

Nice, but not kept up

We had a nice family Christmas trip to this home. A beautiful house in a great location. However, when we arrived, the house was not clean - bed sheets had to be washed, the carpets were soaking wet from poor spot cleaning, dishes were put away with food on them and the bathrooms were not cleaned. Also, the property was not kept up - a broken top dishwasher rack, broken stools, dining chair covers all ripped, etc. For such a high nightly cost, you expect a well-maintained and spotless home. The prop manager refunded the cleaning fee.

Stay for trip to Grand Canyon

Everything was fine, only in the house early mornings and evenings. Had herd of 50 plus elk go by 20 feet from back porch. Really cool!

Long weekend for a baseball tournament

We had a wonderful stay over the weekend while my son played in a Memorial Day baseball tournament. The house was beautiful and so clean. Everything was provided, including coffee and tea and so organized. The views were beautiful and it was very relaxing since we were so exhausted being in the sun all day. We bought our small dogs and there was a baby gate provided to keep them on the main floor and close the bedroom doors to prevent them from going in there. I would bring a long leash for the dogs while you are relaxing outside. There is a large wooded area for them to roam but you have to be respectful of the neighbors who live there full time. The main floor was so pretty with a large fireplace and a large window to look out while eating. Deer were in the yard every morning. This house is perfect for a seasons and would come back again!

Nature in your back yard

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This place was a great getaway with nature at your back yard. We saw a deer and rabbit/giant squirrel in the back yard during breakfast. It was nice to see as we were here right before Christmas. We told the kids it was lost looking for Santa. They loved it. The kitchen is fully loaded and the living room area is perfect for relaxing with a Roku on every TV. The main bathroom was a hit for all the kids as well. They all wanted to take a bath for a change. Grate place to stay and stores are only a few minutes away if you need anything. Walmart is close by and has anything you may have forgotten.
