Chill Cottage Backs Forest (Dog Friendly!)

Private retreat chill cottage that backs Forest and is conveniently located to downtown Flagstaff and NAU. This quaint getaway provides a family and pet friendly space for relaxing. Deck to unwind and easy access to scenic trails for hiking, mountain biking, and trail running. Cozy fireplace to snuggle down and watch movies. USB ports in each room and desk with Wi-Fi. Easy access to I-40 and I-17 for day trips to Sedona, Grand Canyon, or Willaims. Space ideal for a couple or small family. Be our guest at the Chill Cottage and enjoy your stay in this quaint and comfortable space.

Whole house available outside of guest bedroom closet, garage, and back storage shed. Close to parks, green forest space, Woodlands Village shopping center, NAU, and Lake Mary Road.

House Rules: Quiet hours (9pm-7am). Please be courteous to the neighbors and their pets. Minimize excessive noise on the deck during quite hours. Steep driveway, please be careful with ice during the winter season. No parking on the street, driveway only. Winter parking ordinance from November to April. If more than two spaces are needed please reach out directly for passes for the overflow parking lot. Use designated fire ring and above ground designated pit. Refill/Top off the propane tank if using the deck bbq. No pets allowed unattended in the home unless kenneled. Pick up your pet waste. By choosing to stay as a guest on this property you are releasing owners of all liabilities related to your visit and you can be requested to leave the premise and any time by the host.

Great stay for our daughter's NAU tour. Very cozy and plenty of relaxing space inside and out. Loved the access to the trails directly behind the property.

Great Reasonable Flagstaff Home

The home was clean, and exactly as pictured. Great location, quiet neighborhood and the open forest behind the home was peaceful. The host was also very nice and responsive.

Enjoyed our stay

Nice place and good central location for all the day trips we took. The home was well supplied with everything we needed. My only negative would be the deck needs to be updated.

Great spot for a quick trip

The owner was very responsive. The property was perfect for our family to do a quick trip to ski. It was about 35 minutes away from Snowbowl. We went sledding the next day and it was about 35 minutes from Canyon Coasters in Williams.The kitchen was fully stocked. We had everything we needed to cook several meals there. Most of our time was spent enjoying Flagstaff and this was a perfect pit stop for our family to relax and rest.

Cute and comfy

This place was comfy super cute and easy access to everything in town. It is really close to neighbors on both side who have dogs. Only a chain link fence divides the yards. The dogs will bark when you go outside. But they were very nice

Dog Friendly Retreat

Lovely 3 bedroom home with no carpet and leather furniture making it perfect for traveling with out 4 legged family. Fenced in backyard with fire pit really adds! When I asked about marshmallow roasting sticks, Grace sent me money to pick some up, double what I needed to spend. Fabulous communication. Flagstaff is a great location. Thanks you sooooo much!

Summer getaway

The house was perfect for our family of 6. There were plenty of supplies and the home was in good condition. We didn’t have any pets with us during our stay. The neighbors on both sides had dogs but weren’t a bother. We went in July and the weather was on the warmer side, high 80s to low 90s. Multiple fans were available for our use. Overall we had a very enjoyable stay and would gladly come back to this home again. Suggestions: Ceiling fans in the smaller bedrooms would be useful and help to give more light. Adding Window AC units would help during the hotter time of year.

Pretty Good Overall

We mostly enjoyed our stay at the Chill Cottage and had a great time overall. The location in terms to nearness of national parks and monuments was perfect! I will give you the pros and cons after staying at this location for a week. Pros: Very cean, updated, GREAT host, stocked w coffee, toiletries, laundry detergent, box fans, fenced in yard for our small dogs, decent wifi, close to many restaurants, grocery stores, had almost everything we needed! Cons: -No air conditioning. Even on the days when it got up to the low 80s, we could not keep the house cool with 3 box fans and a stand alone water cooler. It did cool down at night, but it took a while. We had to sleep w the front door open (there is a security screen door) which was a bit uncomfortable since we weren’t familiar w the neighborhood. It wasn’t the worst experience ever, but there were a few days when it was uncomfortable. -Neighborhood was just ok. I should have Google Earthed it. - Driveway was very steep. Parking was challenging. We had a hard time getting our 3/4 ton truck out of park and into reverse due to the incline. As I mentioned, Grace is a great host and our stay for the most part was a good one.

Cozy, clean & comfy!

We enjoyed are stay so much. Was very clean and comfortable for my family and I. Grace was a wonderful host and very responsive. Location is great for various activities you might have planned for your visit! Highly recommend and will definitely be back in the future!

Great stay

Grace was amazing! We were in town for a trade show and had many last minute changes do to partner and leadership requests. Grace was responsive and accommodating, she went above and beyond. The Cottage was in a convenient location and a nice space to stay. Neighbors were all very friendly and if you have a dog this cottage made traveling with a pet super easy.

Very nice place for family with young kids and dog

Very clean and homie house, in a quiet neighbourhood. My young kids and dog loved the forest at the backyard. Host Grace responded to messages very quickly as well.

Cute house in a great location for NAU/downtown

Had a nice weekend for our daughter’s graduation ceremony. Easy access on/off freeways and to NAU/downtown. The only negative was a steep driveway for access to house, and parking beyond 1 car was at the end of the street.

Cute house, great communication, quiet neighborhood

We loved this house, and the nature in the backyard. The local recommendations were great. Rooms were good size, kitchen had everything we needed. Our only suggestion is that the access to the backyard was a little difficult and there wasn't much privacy from neighbors. Great town, amazing food, and peaceful ambiance.

Grace is a very good host! The home was comfortable and cozy. Loved The deck outside. The yard was perfect. We enjoyed roasting smores on the fire pit. The fireplace kept the home warm. Amazing!

We picked this property for the location and got so much more. The owner is fantastic! We felt so welcomed. The fireplace in the living room was a family favorite. Hot coco,kids ,movies by a fire in the snow with our 2 dogs. You can’t ask for much more. Thank you for a wonderful home to stay in!

Cozy warm inviting place

Overall the stay was great! Cute place very inviting and cozy. Loved the personal touch of goodies and the information of things to do and eat around the area. Plenty of space. Really liked the gated backyard made it super easy for our pup.
