We loved having our grandkids with us at this beautiful property. Enough space for everyone to spread out but still be together. We usually stay at a hotel since they live here in Aldie but for less than a hotel cost we were able to have meals laughter games space all together here.
A group of friends and I stayed in this beautiful home for a close friend’s wedding - the host was so accommodating & the house was very unique, homely, & clean. We had 7 people stay in this house for 3 nights and we had plenty of room. The pool on the back of the property was definitely used & very clean! We had such a good time & we plan on coming back again! Highly, highly recommend this home if you’re visiting Virginia!

Charming home...We appreciated our host's friendly and timely responses to any questions, and her availability nearby should we have needed anything. Beds so comfortable, pool clean and inviting, and kitchen well appointed for every possible culinary undertaking! The perfect place for our "sisters week."amily gathering

Thank you. We are thrilled that you enjoyed your family visit!
This is a fun farmhouse to stay in. It is a historic house so not everything is the most modern but it was a great get away for our family. Our house was being renovated and we live in the area but we felt like we were deep in the country and the pool was a great retreat. The gas grill was great for cooking and the nice patio furniture was a great place for morning coffee and dinner at night. Well stocked kitchen, all working appliances and washer and dryer. So many towels, wash clothes, hand towels and pool towel are provided so do no bring your own.Highly recommend this for a nice getaway weekend or extended stay especially if you are local and having work done on your house and want to stay in a house in the local area.

Thank you for your review. It was a pleasure having you visit and I hope your floors turned out flawlessly.
This property is absolutely breathtaking! It's so very peaceful. Everything we could ever have needed was exactly where we would expect to find it. The owners even provided bug spray by the back door. I've never slept so well in a home that wasn't my own before. My whole family was also well rested, which is rare on vacation. I can't recommend this property enough. The pictures do this home very little justice.

The home was quaint, quirky and comfortable. Our host was very responsive to our questions. The bed we used was one of the most comfortable I've found outside of our own.

Thank you so much for the fantastic 8/10 rating and for taking the time to share your feedback! We are thrilled that you enjoyed the comfortable bed and our quaint quirky historic farmhouse. We're always striving to provide a flawless 10-star experience—could you let us know what we could have done to make your visit perfect? We'd love to improve for next time.
Joan was very easy to work with. We did have a problem with a leaky coffee pot but we had brought one with us. She said she would replace it. This is a really old historic home and hard to cool the rooms with window units. Fortunately we had a gorgeous weekend and enjoyed the house as well as the outdoor spaces! Very close to all the wineries, restaurants and sights we wanted to see!
Joan could not be more responsive to us whenever we contacted her - and super nice. She even walked me through the steps of how to turn the electricity back on after a storm, while she was driving through rain! We loved the property - it's set back from a side road off the main route, so you get the best of both worlds: quick access to anywhere, but without any noise or other intrusion into the peacefulness of the place. The pool is great - clean, just big enough, set in part shade and part sun and screened from the house, with a view of the property. The house was clean and very sweet - but be warned that it is a somewhat rustic farmhouse. We were fine with that, but it is a bit outdated in places in a way that would have made the nightly rate surprising if it weren't so close to Middleburg, where everything is expensive. We would have loved a few more outlets so we could have our phones by the bed (though that's what vacations are for - no phones!), places to hang our clothes, updated kitchen appliances, etc. But overall it was a wonderful stay.

Thank you for your kind review. And thank you for making me aware of the electrical issue. As it turns out, it was a lightning strike directly to the Wi-Fi box. We did have an electrician come to confirm that all circuits were good and changed out the Wi-Fi immediately.
Host was easy to work with, and check-in through lock-box was easy. Description of house was accurate - older farmhouse, quirky layout with multiple levels. Home had plenty of space. Kitchen is not updated, as it is an older house, but was well equipped for cooking and entertaining. (We ate our meals out at restaurants by plan.) Would have loved to use the pool but it rained for the 4 days we stayed over Memorial Day weekend, and temps only in the 60's. I found the horse show jumping photos, pictures, many ribbons, and the history of the house to be intriguing. I would rent this property again, if visiting in the Aldie area.

Joan was a great host and quickly responded when needed. We had a lot of room in the house and everyone loved the pool! We would stay again if ever in the area.

Thank you! It was a pleasure hosting you and your family. I loved the updates on the soccer matches too!
The house was set up so well for us - Two adult families and two children. The house was clean, spacious with many rooms, and the foosball table was so fun! Nice, spacious, well stocked. The host gets 10 stars for communication! Answers came back within minutes, and if we needed things not in the kitchen, they were delivered promptly. Great experience.
