Great place for longer term stay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was by far the most amazing vacation with my family. The house was perfect. Big kitchen to cook, large open living area to hang out. The outside deck was my favorite place to sit and mediate. The view from the house was tranquil. Silver lake is beautiful. We fished out the dock every morning and evening. Rented a boat, went tubing . wake boarding , knee baording. Made a bonfire every night and enjoyed the beautiful sunsets. The house is surrounded by wonderful neighbors that may us feel like we we're part of thier community. House is in a perfect location near downtown, shopping. Restaurants etc. I was truly sad to leave.

What a Great Place

This place was perfect for our family. My only complaint and it didn't really affect our stay much, is that it needs some TLC . Overall a great place to stay.

Tripton Fell June '21 family visit

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful family retreat at Tripton Fell on Silver Lake. The home was well suited for our needs and gave us both privacy (3 levels) and several great gathering places, including the two large decks. The beach and yard were perfect for the grandkids and the western exposure made for outstanding sunsets. The location was great with easy access to Traverse City, Interlochen, sand dunes, a community park, etc. The home was quite reasonably well maintained but also lived in, so it was very comfortable for our needs. (Might suggest reorganizing the kitchen a bit, providing a few beach towels and improving/replacing the dock, but all in all a great experience.) We would definitely rebook for future summers.

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed for two weeks. Floors were quite dirty on arrival, and we encountered some safety issues. Decks, beach, outdoor furniture, and yard had not been touched since winter, covered with mildew, sticks, and leaves - very sparse grass was a foot tall, but was cut two days after a call to management. We had to clean the rest. The house has great space and potential but needs attention to many details. Location is good, close enough but beyond the busy areas of Traverse City.

We had some issues with the house: the AC wasn't working, the electric stopped working in the master bathroom, the Internet went out but everything was resolved quickly. The house was lovely!

Great place if you want to stick around the house

Reviewer Comments: We stayed in Tripton Fell in August 2015, the house is wonderful ... big rooms, nice family area and game room, and a wonderful private beach with a boathouse. Silver Lake is incredibly clean and great for swimming, However, there's a lot of speed boat and jet ski traffic, which can make it difficult to have a safe boat ride or kayak. And while the location is close to Traverse City, there's not much in the way of biking or hiking in the immediate vicinity. It's great if you want to stick around the house and enjoy the swimming area, sit on your beach and roast marshmallows. Also like to add that Visit Up North is a fantastic management company, when the air conditioning broke they had it fixed within 24 hours, and even ran over fans the day it happened so we wouldn't melt.
