Lake Hadlock, also known as Hadlock Pond, is about 2.4 miles long and .75 miles wide. It's about 47 to 56 feet deep and has 220 acres of surface area.

The lake allows boating, jet skiing, fishing, kayaking, canoeing, fun and safe lake activities. It provides clean, warm swimming water that feels just great!

Our Lake Hadlock is a nice private and quiet setting directly on lakefront property, beautifully located in the Adirondacks right in Adirondack Park.

The Lake House is Owner run and is our future retirement home. We rent to share the wonderful experiences offered by the Adirondacks. We ask that you kindly respect our home and the area.

Please note that we share the floating dock and part of the lower left dock with our good neighbors to the left, next door!

About The Ambrosino's

I'm originally from this beautiful Adirondack area. Contact me at 860 752 9022. Our Lake House is near Queensbury where I attended Queensbury High School. It's nice to get back to this beautiful area! I'm a musician / composer and electrical avionics engineer. I'm inspired by the Adirondack area.

The Ambrosino's purchased this house in 2012

Why The Ambrosino's chose Fort Ann

My family is near our Lake House area. Our neighbors are great people and all love and respect the lake and surrounding areas.

What makes this house unique

The views are just spectacular (we've even seen a sea plane land and take off on the water) and there are many activities very close by. The water is clean and warm with a rocky/sandy bottom on our waterfront property.

We're quite close to Lake George, only 12 miles to Lake George Village. You can hear the Lake George fireworks every Thursday evening from our Lake House.

Notes:
Please Note: In the winter season the Lake water level is 6 feet lower from the normal summer season. So the water level will not be Dock Level as seen in the summer pictures. For the Winter Season, you will need a good AWD or 4-Wheel drive with good tires to access this property..you don't want to get stuck in the snow or ice! The lake freezes pretty solid by about the middle to late January....be safe. Then snowmobiling, snow shoeing and ice fishing can take place right on the lake. Please see: http://visitadirondacks.com/recreation/snowmobiling Also, the LP forced Hot Air heating system works great but please set back to 47 when leaving. The wood burning stove may also be used. Please burn Dry Wood only! You can buy wood at the Mini Mart on RT 149 or at Lowe's or Home Depot. There is no FLUE to worry about. Open the 3 round vents for air draw and ONLY load wood from side door! Be Safe! Please close when fire is completely out. LOAD WOOD from SIDE DOOR ONLY. Please burn safe!

What a great vacation home!

  • 5 of 5

Eric was absolutely fantastic to do business with. Everything Eric told us about his home was 100% correct and he was most accommodating. Our family of six, with parents in their 80's, found this house to be very comfortable, roomy, beautiful and well equipped. We had one of the best vacations this family has ever had. This is a very private and quiet lake and community. Not to mention a great lake for fishing. Our family looks forward to vacationing in this home again. It was sad to leave. There is no doubt we will be returning.

If you want a vacation that you will never forget, this is the place, Just so Beautiful!

  • 5 of 5

This is our 3rd yearof going to Eric's Lake home, and we'll be back next year for our 4th year

Eric is truly the most welcoming host, everything you need is at this Lake home, and every year we get surprised with new improvements, Our family, children and grand kids, swim, fish, kayaking, he even provides the life vests. This home is very well taken care of, right down to a washer and dryer so you go back home with clean clothes.

The house by itself with amazing views and decks, is so comfortable, lots of lounging relaxing in the livingroom and playing scrabble, our family favorite, at a large table and so much more .So I will end with this, if you love the comfort of being home, and nature, the perfect lake , sky, and stars and woods surrounding you,

My children and grand kids 8 and 4 don't want to leave the house to Go to Lake George, just fishing off the deck and having your family all around you, this is the place to stay at, worth every penny.

Memories , photo's, videos that will last, and kids crying they don't want to leave, and when it's time for us to leave, everyone gets teary eyed, and the kids cry , when can we come back, to the Lake house.

Thank you Eric for the Best vacation ever!

The lake setting was all that was expected

  • 3 of 5

There are a lot of pros and some cons I'll share bc it's important to know and hopefully be corrected .

The setting of the house in the woods away from the hustle and bustle was perfect !

The house has several decks that were great for fishing , relaxing and jumping into the water . We kayaked with the complimentary kayaks they were great .

The fire pit was really nice at night we were able to roast marshmallows and hang out together .

The living room is the nicest part of the house and what saved our trip honestly .Big Tv to watch movies a great sound system we all enjoyed It has an open room with the big kitchen attached . The kitchen was clean and adequately stocked with what is needed to properly have a meal.

Overall those are the good points .

The negatives if I had known before i most likely wouldn't have chosen his house based on my indivual preferences .

The house has a lot of mold around it and in it .

My 6 yr old is very allergic to it and it was problematic . It should be powerwashed and maintained if it's going to be rented out to families . The couch was not cleaned and I found pacifiers , toys , food and lots of hair . It's a rental i get it . Hiring a prof company in between renters will solve that . They should tell you to bring your own blankets pillows and towels as the ones they provide are dingey , some like old rags and not what you would expect for the amount spent . Nor would you use they smelled musty.

The neighbors you share the 1dock with don't really like outsiders , trust me it was obivious but I didn't let it hinder my time. Don't see a way to solve that problem except deal with it .there were various families coming and going so maybe it was just bad timing for us.

The bedroom downstairs was tough for sleeping in. the skylights over your face shine down at sunrise on to your eyes . The ceiling is abnormally low and the fan hit my hus head so be careful.

The 1 bedrooms upstairs has no dressser and no tv so all of the clothes were kept on floor.

Lots of big ants , lots of spiders everywhere !! In our beds our clothes , shoes but I get it , it's the woods . Maybe your ok with this .

Ok I may sound overly critical but I had higher expectations for the house .

The owner was extremely nice and there were no issues otherwise. I think with better maintenance of the house My family of 6 would have felt more comfortable. . We are all coughing and sneezing ugh

It was relaxing , and family time was great!

Owner's Response: Thank You Ms. Jun 30th, So glad to hear you are avid kayakers and enjoyed the lake surroundings in the Adirondacks! Yes, our lake house is in the woods and resides on the lake so bugs, spiders and ants can occasionally enter the house along with other critters especially when leaving windows and doors open. Your good point of green moss on and around the outside of the house is well taken but it’s not mold. I am going to invest in a good power washer system and wash that moss off our home. I’m sorry if that caused sneezing for your 6 year old. In the Homeaway booking information we do state to please bring your own bed linens, sheets and towels. I will dispose of any old towels that may have been left by previous guests. The booking application also clearly states that the two red kayaks are free for your enjoyment and the power boat is not to be disturbed. Unfortunately, when you used our good neighbor’s ROW BOAT without their permission, they did get a bit upset. Just because their row boat may be docked up or is stored on top of their side of the large lower dock does not mean anyone can feel free to use it and play sink the rowboat game. So sorry to my neighbors that this happened and to you if that was not clear. The pictures on the booking site show there are 3-draw dressers in each of the two upstairs bedrooms and a large one in the master bedroom. We only advertise the one big flat screen TV in the great room. The extra TV in the upstairs bed room is local channel only and is really for convenience only if guests bring their own gamming system on vacation with them. We do appreciate your review and feedback even if you feel it was overly critical as you mentioned in your review. We strive for continuous improvement and upgrades. We get excellent reviews and even better comments in our On-Site Guest Book where guests have shared their special moments vacationing at our lake house and very touching experiences we were happy they shared with us and for future guests. Again...Thank You, Eric Ambrosino Owner / Operator

A time to leave the hustle, bustle behind and reconnect
