Hi Barbara, Thanks for your stellar review! Just a note that the kitchenette can do simple cooking. I just updated the description of the Panasonic microwave with Inverter technology, which cooks evenly anything from breakfast foods to appetizers to dinnertime meals. There is an electric stovetop under the sink. We also have a toaster oven for use upon request. Guests can of course use our outdoor Weber gas grill as well.

Jason, thank you for the review. The listing description states clearly “ This is a lock-off in-law unit on the lower level of the house with a private entrance.” I’m sorry you missed it. As I explained to you, we’re a private residence in a very quiet neighborhood and need to be mindful about our neighbors and restrict visitors. I wish you had booked a hotel room as I really wouldn’t want you to be disappointed :-(.

Camille, I am so sorry that you were not happy. We are constantly trying to improve and will take your feedback seriously. Things could have gone more smoothly if you knew how to check messages on your app. We sent self-check-in instructions ahead of your arrival so you would have no surprises to enter from the side yard with a WELCOME sign. The same is true for the lock. We sent step-by-step instructions on how to open and lock the door. Most people have no problem following the instructions. We do have extension cords, and I responded to your request immediately. FYI, the house was built in 2002. I can't imagine that the builder/developer went out of their way to find 1980’s bathroom fixtures. Anyway, we would always welcome kind and objective feedback so we can improve!

Thanks, Aneela, for your feedback about an electronic burner. Unfortunately the code doesn’t allow the burner because of safety issue. But we do have an outdoor grill, which has a gas stove that guests can use. It’s right outside the kitchen door and convenient to use. Hope to see you again next time when you want a getaway!

I am so sorry you felt hot. Unfortunately that's unusual for Saratoga, where the night temperature is in the 50s and 60s in the summer. I understand you could feel hot with hair dryer. We have provided a fan. Had you let me know, I would bring another fan to help. I would do everything I can to keep my customers happy. I am also disappointed that you intentionally violated the house rules. You booked for one person, and mentioned your friend Michelle might stay. But our security camera shows that you brought in a third person, an unknown man , who stayed until the afternoon of the second day! Again, I regret this happened.
