Our stay was absolutely perfect!!! Plenty of wildlife to spot and enjoy the serene scenery. Spent 2 amazingly gorgeous snowy nites in the hot tub. Awesome communication with the owner. Definitely a return trip is in the making :)
Was a great stay for a group of friends to get together and spend time together the creek was peaceful and the hottub was relaxing! A great Host with a beautiful property! Thank you for the opportunity to stay!
Couldn’t ask for a better place to stay! Very unexpected. Easy access from route 6. Pretty much unnoticeable from road. Beautiful cabin. Very clean, no smell/ oder.
Love the easy access to the water, big property and spacious cabin! It was nice that toilet paper, paper towels and some other amenities were included. My only complaint was it’s pretty close to the road so I could here the cars/trucks going by.
Loved the cabin. Unfortunately we had rain the majority of time we were there so we didn't get to enjoy as much as we would like to have. Loved that sheets, towels, paper products were supplied. Less to haul.
Beautiful cabin located on big pine . We seen deer in yard. The hot tub is amazing. It's quiet , peaceful. Beautiful view.
Cabin was very clean and decorated so nice!
Highly recomend staying here!
Our stay was fantastic. The host was great and the property was outstanding. It was clean, well appointed and perfect for our family. We really enjoyed floating in the creek, fishing, and the yard for playing ball. The air conditioning was wonderful after playing in the heat all day. We are definitely planning to return. Thank you!!!
The property was very nice with a large yard. There were a lot of songbirds and an eagle! House was very clean with everything you need. We explored the area doing a lot of hiking and was a very relaxing place to come back to. The porch is amazing even when it rained. There are 2 benches at the creek but it's easier if you bring camp chairs for the firepit which we didnt have. A wonderful place to stay!!
The cabin was well supplied and clean. Close to town, but nice and quiet. We were able to stargaze from back yard. Dusk to dawn light was a bit bright, but some people like it that way. Owner was very helpful and home was comfortable. Would stay again if in area. Nice buck at the feeder too!
The property is great, easy to get to with privacy and a great place to take dogs who like to hang around a creek.
The cabin is nice, especially relative to other cabin properties we've stayed at before. One thing to know is to bring bottled water, the tap water smells strongly of sulphur.
Besides that they replied quickly when I had some questions so communication was also good.
We came up for the Dicken’s Christmas in Wellsboro. The house was great. Kitchen needs to be stocked better with spices if your cooking in house. The driveway needs to be marked better to be able to find it at night, the first night we went passed it 3 times. There were no lights left on so we came in blind in the dark. It has snowed also and nothing was plowed or shoveled.

My guests and I found Black Bear Lodge to be very comfortable, clean, and quiet. There was an abundant supply of towels, toilet paper, and K-cup pods for the coffee machine. The gas grill on the back porch came in handy one night for dinner. During our stay, we saw a beaver, rabbits, geese and hummingbirds on the property. It is a convenient place to stay if you are planning to visit Cherry Springs State Park and Leonard Harrison State Park. My only suggestion is to supply a plastic dishpan tub, since there is no dishwashing machine available. We would come back again and highly recommend this property.
The check in process was super easy and the property was beautiful, looked just like the pictures. A great place to stay with your family or just a couple of friends.
The property was absolutely beautiful. Exactly as pictured in the listing. Everything inside and out was immaculately maintained. I loved the open floor plan and all the cabin decor and bedding. My 21 month old grandson loved all the bears and kept telling the bear sitting on the beam over the living room to “hold on tight”. Shallow creek was perfect for tubing especially with an infant and toddler. Great backyard lawn for kids to run around. Also plenty of wildlife on the property, and lots of things to do nearby. Galeton is a cute small town with a great antique shop, and and ice cream. My whole family enjoyed our stay.
