Private Serene Cabin

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful cabin on top of the mountain. Just a 20 minute drive to Cherry Springs for stargazing or stay at home and view the clear night sky from the wrap around deck. Nestled at the end of a dead end lane allows for a super private setting. First bedroom is very large with a queen bed at one end of the room and a twin over full bunk bed at the other end. The 2nd bedroom has a full sized bed. Full bathroom in the hallway with tub and shower. Enjoy the serenity.

Please note: In winter months, the mountain and area in general gets a lot of snow. We do not recommend you book unless you have a 4x4 truck, 4 wheel drive vehicle or minimally all-wheel drive vehicle. Do not arrive after dark. If weather forecasts blizzards or heavy snow, we may request you cancel your reservation, and you will get a full refund. We do this so that guests do not get snowed in.

We had a great weekend at this cute and comfy cabin. It was a great place to stay for a weekend of riding the ATV trails and stargazing while sitting around the campfire or on the deck. There were many amenities provided and the host was quick to respond to any questions.

Our stay was amazing! The cabin was isolated and so quiet. It was very clean and every amenity was thought of. The owners were so easy to communicate with and very helpful when I asked questions about local attractions. We would live to come back again!

Awesome cabin. Location is perfect, secluded enough to enjoy the quiet/ peacefulness of the woods, yet close to everything we love to do in Potter County (esp Lyman Lake & Cherry Springs) Cabin itself was clean & comfortable, more than enough room for family of 4. Hope to stay again sometime soon.

Weekend with the stars

The cabin was really nice. We enjoyed sitting on the deck watching the stars. Also used the fire pit one night. The cabin has everything you would need for a weekend stay. Tons of State Parks close by for hiking.

Cozy & quiet

Very much enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It was lovely to enjoy the birdsong and really nothing else. The Eastern phoebe who hung out on the roof of the woodshed every morning and evening was delightful company. Cabin was comfortable and communication with host was quick and convenient. Looking forward to coming back.
While the moon and clouds affected stargazing, they were still lovely.
Finding out there was already a great stockpile of wood available was much appreciated.
The overnight raindrops still glistened on the trees and added to tranquil setting.
Seeing the phoebe bob its tail as it sung everyday was fun for this itinerant birdwatcher.

Potter County Vacation

The perfect place for a weekend get away. Cant wait to come back. A few minor things to note: the shower head does not work and the propane tanks for the grills were empty and grills were not the best so plan accordingly.

Cabin feels with little perks

This is a great place to stay if you are interested in being away, seeing the stars close to the dark skies formal parks, and if you have a pet and kids. It's got the cozy feel of a cabin with a great deck. We were there in a heat wave and the owner had two AC units put in for us-I am guessing that is not normal for the area-if it had been a few degrees cooler we would have slept with the windows open). They had smart TVs and 3 ways to make your coffee (thank you for the French Press), as well as a great grill and a well supplied kitchen with pots, pans, plates, etc for us to cook there. And a good number of games and puzzles on top of it all. It took 20 minutes to get to Cherry Spring State Park-and it was worth it! There are a few hikes within easy access too. Our Corgi was welcome and relaxed in the space quite easily-she also enjoyed the porch. We would book it again!
