Historic Breckenridge home walkable to all that is Breckenridge!
Immerse yourself in Breckenridge history in this centrally located 1880s Breckenridge cottage turned fabulous ski house. Completely remodeled and expanded to accommodate your modern vacation while preserving its vintage details. Breckenridge Main Street is just 3 blocks away. The Peak 8 gondola is a 10 minute walk or a 3 minute shuttle ride. Once you arrive (via car or shuttle) you will not need your car again--a true vacation! Licence #0419130001 The space Featured in three design magazines (Colorado Homes & Lifestyles, Country Home, and Breckenridge Magazine), this house has fabulous, historic style -- complete with an original outhouse (no longer functional, of course)! It has also been included on the Breckenridge Historic Home Tour.
White shiplap throughout makes the house clean and bright. Antique touches with a modern IKEA kitchen make it fun. We love to be in the kitchen and be with family, whether they are watching TV or sitting by the fire -- thus, our great room is twice the size of the original little cottage built in 1882.
When we remodeled we lifted the house in two pieces, dug a 9' basement and put it back. We have created a fun kid zone in the basement complete with kitchenette, ping pong table, two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The main floor junior suite is an old shed turned chic ensuite bedroom with chandelier and "barbed wire" towel racks connected to the back of the house. The main bedroom (part of the new construction that includes the garage) has a soaring ceiling and floating wall with a dressing area behind -- complete with large closet, 10' mirror and marble bathroom.
Our front yard is darling with a firepit and patio. Across the street is the town library housed in the 120 year old former high school. It includes a movie theater with first run movies. Breckenridge is a wonderful town to explore and enjoy -- shopping, aprés, dining and nightlife are all walkable within a few short blocks, at most. Guest access You will have access to the entire house!

So happy to hear you liked our home, Bruce! We will welcome you back!
Our family had a truly wonderful stay here! The location of the house is perfect with easy access for both walking into town as well as walking to the ski slopes. The decor is so neat and warm with so many special touches. The number of bathrooms in the house was a true plus! We loved lounging by the fire, playing ping pong, and having ample storage for all the coats, boots, etc. One minor heads up, while it was very clean the owners do appear to have dogs which didn’t agree with a couple in our group with animal allergies. Not a big deal but didn’t consider this since it states no pets. Otherwise, everything was great. Thanks!

Jillian, I'm so glad you enjoyed our home, its amenities, and its proximity to skiing and Main Street Breckenridge. It sounds like you enjoyed all we have to offer. I'm glad you appreciated the cleanliness of our home. Yes, we do have a dog. He's a great dog but he does shed. We work very hard to address this before each guest. I regret your group was affected.

What makes this property unique
Our large great room (kitchen, TV area, fireplace seating) makes our home perfect for family gatherings. We love the fire pit. The ping pong table in the basement makes for fun competition.
