About Doug Ahmann

We've lived in Port Angeles for 39 years and feel privileged to call this beautiful area our hone. We love to share this amazing place with our guests.

Doug Ahmann purchased this house in 2006

Why Doug Ahmann chose Sequim

This beautiful home became available when our friends who built it had to relocate. We thought it would make an amazing vacation rental and our guests agree!

Just what we were looking for!

  • 5 of 5

The house and location were perfect. The kitchen was well stocked. The beds were comfortable. The view was amazing. It was a great place to stay for a quiet weekend to rejuvenate after a long, stressful work week. The owner was very accomodating and provided great suggestions for local resturants. We are looking forward to our next stay.

A TRULY INCREDIBLE PROPERTY!

  • 5 of 5

This pristine, comfortable and well-appointed home exceeded our expectations in every way. The photographs do not adequately convey just how beautiful this home is. It features large windows in the living room offering vast views of the ocean, the Dungeness Spit, Protection Island, Port Townsend and Mt. Baker. We enjoyed watching the birds and the many ships passing by, and had fun using the telescope provided. The large windows in the kitchen and the loft area offer stunning views of the Olympic Mountains. Every morning we awoke to spectacular sunrises and were treated to equally striking sunsets in the evening.

We marveled at the many distinctive characteristics of this home. Every day, we would notice a different architectural feature that makes this home so unique. One of our favorite and most used features of the home was the wood burning fireplace, and we were grateful for the generous supply of firewood. There is an abundant supply of extra towels, sheets, and blankets, as well as some toiletries in case you forgot to bring something. Everything you need has been carefully thought out.

We originally booked for 4 nights, and were enjoying our stay so much that when we received word that the folks back home were suffering a heat wave, we decided to extend our stay for an additional 3 nights. Doug and JoDee were very accessible and made extending our stay effortless. Two days later, when a member of our party experienced a medical emergency and was transported to Olympic Medical Center in Port Angeles, Doug and JoDee couldn’t have been more kind and compassionate. We were blessed that their lovely home was still available, and they made extending our stay again very easy. JoDee even came by the hospital to visit with and provide comfort to our family. We were touched by their thoughtfulness.

This is first rate accommodations with thoughtful details. We highly recommend this property to anyone visiting Sequim. You will not be disappointed.

Beautiful beach house and amazing hospitality in Sequim

  • 5 of 5

There were six of us staying in the beach house, and it was super comfortable with unbeatable ocean views and beach access - You're *right* on the beach! It was so relaxing. A dream, really.

The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and tools (could use one additional chopping knife, though!), it was a great size, and there were plenty of pots/pans/cutting boards to use.

And now Sequim..... We got so much love from Sequim! We spent some time on the main drag of Washington St and made friends in a local gallery, gift shop, and Oak Table restaurant. We were all so impressed with the Sequim hospitality. It was only about a 10 minute drive from the beach house so very easy to "head into town" to explore.

Highly reommend this Dungeness Beach Retreat!

A Nice House on the Water

  • 5 of 5

The house was clean, well kept, and had plenty of room. The kitchen had everything we needed, and there were plenty of pots and pans as well as dishes and silverware, and a dishwasher as well as a washer and dryer.

We were just two people, but the house had plenty of room for 6 or more-- two full master suites, and two loft areas. It was indeed right on the beach-- but you don't get any real waves here-- more like bay-side than ocean front. We did spend some time walking along the beach collecting shells and watching the birds. A fantastic telescope is provided, and you can see for miles.

One really cool feature is that you can watch the sunrise over the water from the beach side of the house, and the sunset over the mountains from the street side. We got some fantastic pictures!

The owners were responsive and accommodating-- even allowing a very early check-in on a last minute reservation.

Sooooo nice!

  • 5 of 5

Breathtaking view! Relaxing location right on the beach. Beautifully built...such quality. Super clean and appointed with everything you need. There were even seasoning and some basic pantry food. We really loved the grocery store nearby called Nashe's. They had all of the produce and bread and so much more to go with the protein that you bring. This home is a relaxing and wonderful retreat.
