This stunning 3,000 sq ft custom southwest traditional home (with an additional 1,000+ sq feet of covered patios) is situated on 3.3 private acres in the Tortolita Mountains foothills of the northern Tucson area, adjacent to the Dove Mountain resort community.

The majestic Sonoran Desert is breathtaking and perfect for biking, hiking or just relaxing and taking in the surrounding beauty. Enjoy the private setting with incredible views while maintaining a close proximity to shopping, great restaurants and some of the best golf Tucson has to offer.

COURTYARD
Open the gate to the serenity of the front courtyard, perfect for enjoying your morning tea, curling up with a book, or sharing intimate dinners. The soothing fountain, whimsical hummingbirds, comfortable furnishings, and magical evening lighting offer unique solitude and a calm hideaway.

INTERIOR SPACES
The villa interior opens to the spacious great room with polished concrete floors, high beamed ceilings and impressive custom woodwork throughout. With its championship billiard table, 60-inch flat screen, Bose surround sound and the latest media choices, this great room offers countless entertainment options.

Discerning cooks will feel inspired in the fully equipped kitchen, outfitted on par with a primary residence complete with stocked spice cabinet, and a full compliment of gadgets, small appliances and even china place settings. No detail has been spared. (Many guests comment that it is better outfitted than their own kitchens at home!)

The over-sized king Primary Suite is beautifully appointed and includes an office work space, views of the Catalina Mountains and direct access to the covered patio, hot tub and swimming pool. The Primary Suite bath provides a large walk-in shower with dual heads, and separate soaking tub perfect for indoor relaxation.

The Primary Suite and three equally charming guest rooms all include flat screen TVs with DishTV/Hopper DVR access and Blu-ray DVD players.

Bed arrangement includes: Primary Suite - King, 'Tahoe Bedroom' - King, 'Southwest Bedroom' - Queen, and 'Route 66 Bedroom' - 1 Queen & 1 Full.

While the home's interior is very comfortably furnished and equipped, Arizona life is all about the outdoors. Enjoy the exquisite weather year-round from the expansive outdoor living spaces including fully furnished covered patios, spa and heated swimming pool with natural boulder water feature just steps away.

Lose yourself in the surrounding beauty, sunning in the lagoon or napping on the covered pool-side Bali Bed by day; or gazing at the stars and city lights while gathered around the gas fire feature by night. This Sonoran oasis is truly enchanting with its intimate privacy, solitude, and surrounding desert foothills beauty.


Transportation Notes: the route to Casa Campana includes a very short (1/8th mile) segment of flat, compacted gravel road between our lane and the city street. This is not unusual for the area.

Spring Break 2025

This is by far the nicest property that I have rented in AZ . For my family it’s all about the outdoor living space and this property exceeded our expectations! We were 6 adults and we had plenty of room to hang out together ! Loved the landscaping and small details inside and outside of this property. This house is well stocked with anything you could possibly need . Mark checked it through out our stay to make sure everything was perfect ! Hope to come back in the future !

Perfect vacation

Mark and Susan thought of everything for a wonderful visit! The home was immaculate and it was easy to find everything we needed to prepare food, listen to music, play games and rest peacefully. Casa Capana

Everything was as described in the listing or better. Plenty of room for our three generations to spread out when we needed, and a nice big table and gathering areas for meals and games together too. We cooked many meals and it is a very well equipped kitchen. The only thing that could have improved the trip would be warmer weather so that we could enjoy the pool even more than we did. Thanks for a great stay!

Outstanding vacation rental!

We have rented many, many vacation homes over the years, and this property is without a doubt the most well equipped home we've ever stayed in. It is obvious that Mark and Susan have given careful thought and consideration to the needs of their renters. Their communication with us during our stay was greatly appreciated. All of us have traveled fairly extensively and have rented many apartments and houses in the US and abroad - Casa Campana is up there as one of the best. It's truly a marvel how Mark & Susan have operated such a top notch rental for so many years. I remarked several times over the week - if this were my house, I would never rent it out! Amazing home! Don’t pass this place up!

This was one of the most luxurious rentals we’ve done. I would call it more of a resort as it had anything and everything we could have needed, I mean this house is fully stocked! The owners were super thoughtful and checked on us to ensure everything was good during our stay which was very nice and helpful. The house was impeccably clean and everything was labeled which made it very easy to find/use things without having to ask for assistance. Great hiking nearby. Plenty of DoorDash options and a full stocked kitchen for the days we cooked. Beds were comfy. Overall, it made for a perfect quiet getaway for our family of 4. Oh... and bonus of a pool table and tons of board games for our boys!

Amazing house!

This is truly an amazing house. We have been renting properties all over the world for decades, and this is one of the finest we have ever stayed at. Impeccably maintained and set up for your convenience. Everything is automated so that you don't have to worry about a thing. We had a family of five adults - parents and our daughter, son and daughter-in-law. Lots of space to hang together or to be alone and peaceful. Mark was a fantastic host, very communicative and even bought yoga blocks so I didn't have to pack them. Would heartily recommend to anyone staying in Tucson!

Beyond Words!

We are not surprised to find that others share the same feelings about Casa Campana as we do. It is the most beautiful home we have rented and is just as these other reviewers describe. Better than the photos, immaculate property, awesome kitchen, amazing landscaping, pool & spa, with many restful areas to appreciate the distant mountains & surrounding natural desert beauty and hummingbirds, doves, butterflies & fountains from sunrise to sunset. And then the twinkling lights come on in the trees, under a perfect sky of stars. Fantastic, well-appointed home in outstanding location.

My wife and I spent 10 days at this wonderful home in September. The property is even better than the online pictures portray. On arrival, we were greeted by a welcome bag packed with Arizona goodies! The inside is lovely with a fantastic great room with large TV, beautiful kitchen with all appliances and there is even a pool table! Mark and Susan were very helpful both prior to our travels and during our stay - they were happy to answer any questions regarding the property and local recommendations. The home was clean, well-maintained and the outside areas were wonderful to pass the day, watching and listening to wildlife...hummingbirds were a particular favourite! The pool is fantastic and many hours were spent swimming and relaxing in our beautiful, private surroundings. The stars were incredible to see at night-time! The house is located in a desert setting but you are also close to amenities including the Ritz-Carlton at Dove Mountain which is a lovely place for an evening drink! We would highly recommend this home - we created some fantastic memories and were lucky to be able to catch up with our American side of the family who we invited over one evening to share our experience at this villa. WOW!!! When can we go back??

I'm guessing a lot of people look at the pictures and read the other reviews and are like - nah, it can't really be THAT good, can it? Let me tell you - IT IS!!! Casa Campana is everything you could possibly want in a vacation home. We traveled with my son and 3 of his friends for my sons 17th birthday. The boys were SO impressed (and 17 yr old boys are difficult to impress)!! The outside area is spectacular, and the inside area is beyond well equipped. Every time I was in the kitchen and thinking "I wonder if they have a ________", the answer was yes! This house could have the potential, based on the size, to feel a bit formal.....but it doesn't in the least. It's beyond comfortable and welcoming, the beds are ridiculously comfortable and there is everything you could possibly need. Mark was SO communicative - with information he provided ahead of time, checking in to make sure everything was all set throughout the stay, even letting us know if something minor had changed (service person coming on different day than was mentioned). Just a great guy to deal with. The welcome gift was beyond generous as well! We really can't wait to return to Casa Campana! Mark and Susan - your home is lovely, and I can't thank you enough for sharing it with us!

Words cannot describe!!!!

I had high expectations for this home after reading all the great reviews. However, from the moment we arrive - every expecation was surpassed by what we experienced. Mark & Susan were fabulous to work with. We had contact via email several times before we arrived. On our day of arrival, we had flight delays and cancelations and I was in contact with Mark throughout. When we finally arrived we had a bowl of fresh fruit and a welcome bag waiting for us. The accent lights were on and it was very welcoming after a full day of travel. The house was beautiful, spotless and fully equiped with everything you could need. It was stocked with several full sets of dishes, all types of glasses, spices, utensils, and appliances. There were cabinets filled with board games and cards games, CDs, movies, books, cookbooks, etc. The beds were very comfotable. There were chargers and TVs in all the rooms. Can't think of anything else we could have used. Then there was the property outside. At night you can see the city of Tucson from the backyard. It has been gorgeously landscaped with fountains, waterfalls, various levels, flowers and cacti. There are several sitting areas including the front yard. We all spent hours in the pool. This is by far the best VRBO house we have ever stayed in. In fact, I tried to book two other weeks for next year and they are already booked. Would definitely love to come back. Mark and Susan are great hosts and they manage the property as if they lived there fulltime

Paradise found in Tucson!

Mark and Susan, I have been tasked with composing a thank you note to you on behalf of the four of us who had the pleasure of staying in wonderful, beautiful Casa Campana. Let me begin by saying I think I know both of you without having met you. Your home is the embodiment of two people who have lovingly assembled a welcoming home for us to so thoroughly enjoy. The setting is quietly spectacular sitting nestled into a space you have made into a wonderful desert oasis of fun, relaxation and memories. I can’t think of anything that has not been thought of in this home...the beautiful pool, relaxing hot tub, the outdoor kitchen, fire pit and multiple conversation areas. Your gift for accenting the many peaceful seating areas is like nothing we have ever seen. Wow, Wow! We played many rounds of golf with friends at the Gallery and ladies manage to hike every trail at the Ritz. Yesterday they managed 12 miles in 4.5 hours! The men? We did nothing but prepare a wonderful steak dinner for friends, all the while enjoying the sunset and the sound of the waterfall gurgling into the placid water out of the pool. Unfortunately, the cooler nights prevented us from eating on the outside table, but no worries, Christmas lights kept us warm and peaceful inside. We enjoyed Game of Thrones and planning one last day in paradise! Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home with us. We are already planning another trip to Tucson Valley to enjoy this experience again. Until this time next year, thank you from all four of us and have a wonderful Christmas holiday. We felt so fortunate to have found this splendid place in our search for a perfect Southwest vacation home. Many times in the past, we have found vacation homes fail to live up to their posted photos, but this home and grounds, however, managed to even exceed the beautiful, posted photos. We loved the Southwest architecture, and the super well-appointed interior was much appreciated, including the upscale bedding, the awesome pool table, the extremely well-equipped kitchen, the pervasive AV/multi-media options, and so many more than we can list; the proprietors truly thought of everything that anyone could wish for in a vacation home. The attention to detail is truly incredible!The exquisite Southwest landscaping provides the perfect backdrop for the amazing swimming pool, astounding rock waterfall, and the many tranquil fountains. Watching a hummingbird take an extended bath on the top of the cactus fountain was surreal. The plethora of comfortable seating options in both the front and back gardens provided the perfect respite no matter where the sun was.Proprietor Mark provided comprehensive customer care from before we arrived till after we returned home, ensuring everything was perfect during our entire stay.We were sad to leave and hope to one day return to Casa Campana!

Amazing stay

Everything was as promised and absolutely amazing. When we loaded up to head home both my kids asked if we could come back to this house. The exterior was so relaxing and perfect, while the inside was just right for the one colder day we had. The communication from owners was amazing and any questions were answered within minutes. Both during our stay and leading up to it. Something I have come across in the past is management companies that take hours or days and time on hold waiting for an answer. It immediately ruins the day. Nothing like that at all, Mark was always available and the information and recommendations provided prior to arrival and on property were very helpful. Everything about our stay was great. Nice house. Excellent communication with the host. Very responsive to any questions or concerns. House was very clean. Location was great for hosting our visiting family from overseas. Very relaxing place.

We purchased this property after falling in love with Southern Arizona, its desert beauty, and the wonderful year-round weather. Being long-time Seattle area residents, it has been a welcome respite from the damp northwest winters. The weather here cannot be beat!

We enjoy all that Arizona has to offer - abundant golf, tennis, hiking, wildlife, cuisine, and most of all, Sunshine!!

We enjoy visiting as often as possible, for both needed R&R as a couple, as well as with extended family to reconnect. It is our hope that our guests come to love the property, amenities, and ambiance as much as we do.

Why they chose this property

This property was chosen due to its uniqueness, privacy, and tranquil setting in the beautiful Sonoran Desert. Unlike many vacation rental homes situated in dense neighborhoods, our guests enjoy significant privacy in a quiet peaceful suburban ranch environment (3+ acre and larger properties).

After an extensive on-line and in-person search, this home (later named Casa Campana – or ‘Bell House’) was the clear choice for these and many other factors that hopefully guests will experience and come to love for themselves.

What makes this property unique

The unique benefits of this property include the pristine desert setting, abundant privacy and open space, many custom details inside and out, and the overall peacefulness it exudes.

Although the existing custom home provided a good starting point, we spent over a year developing the overall property into a premier vacation destination drawing on our experiences traveling to small boutique resorts in the US, Mexico, and the Caribbean. Those reference points contributed to adding just the right furnishings, amusements, relaxation options, and luxury amenities to make Casa Campana an exceptional experience. This applies equally for those vacationing as families, as we do with our own young adult children, or as couples seeking rest and tranquility.

Many guests have commented that their time at Casa Campana was like a retreat at their own personal, private resort. We couldn't agree more!
