1100 pieds carrĂ©s, une chambre Ă  coucher maison d'hĂŽtes avec un plan d'Ă©tage ouvert qui comprend une grande cheminĂ©e encastrĂ©e circulaire intĂ©rieure et beaucoup d'intimitĂ© sur trois acres est situĂ© sur une «Native America site du patrimoine» dĂ©signĂ©. Cette propriĂ©tĂ© a une des plus grandes collections Mortero dans le comtĂ© (oĂč les premiers AmĂ©rindiens utilisaient les roches locales pour moudre leurs grains et mĂ©dicaments). SituĂ© au milieu d'Ăąge mĂ»r en direct Oaks, Manzanita et divers arbres de pins, cette escapade spacieuse et sereine va vous couper le souffle! Nous sommes assez prĂšs pour profiter de tout ce que San Diego a Ă  offrir, mais un monde loin de la circulation et de la congestion de la ville.

Il y a tellement de choses que vous pouvez faire l'annĂ©e - VTT, randonnĂ©e, pĂȘche. Outre la plage et toutes les activitĂ©s nautiques, vous pouvez Ă©galement aventurer dans le dĂ©sert sur les VTT ou Dune Buggies.

Musique live à tous les niveaux de concerts dans les cafés, Balboa Park, beaux-arts,
gastronomie et, bien sûr, le zoo de San Diego, Safari Park et SeaWorld.

Great cabin location and comfort. Enjoyed the 70s vibe and fireplace. The cabin was close for the mountain biking we had planned for the weekend. Celebrated a birthday. Definitely would book the cabin again for future trips. The host was wonderful and helpful too. Clan Fraser

Sweet Retreat

I love staying at Norwegian Woods. It’s peaceful and quiet and my dogs really enjoy it. I had a little difficulty with check in this time due to an error but the hosts quickly rectified it and all was well. I look forward to my next stay here.

Wonderful mountain getaway!

Great stay in a secluded small mountain community. This is our second stay at this property and we love it even more. Really cozy place with the unique fireplace and comfortable beds. Love the outdoor space for the dogs to run around. Hosts are very responsive. They are on the property, but still feels like there is privacy at the same time. Will definitely stay again!

Great Getaway Stay

Quiet sanctuary

This was a perfect weekend getaway in the woods surrounded by nature. It felt like a little "Norwegian" mountain paradise. The conversation pit was such a fun feature! We took advantage of the easy access to nature and truly enjoyed our stay.

Great property

Great location and absolutely beautiful property. A couple downsides to our stay was no breakfast like it states in description, no bathrobes or slippers like also stated in the description. If you are at all sensitive to any type of paranormal senses you will defenitly feel it here. Front of the house is nice and comfy stays warm and cozy no issues walk into the hallway where the bathroom, closet and bedroom are and you can feel it ( especially in the bedroom and closet ), needless to say we left an entire day early could not take the overwhelming feeling of not being wanted there and being watched. For the amount of money we paid for a 2 day vacation it kind of sucked losing out by leaving but better safe than sorry i guess. The owner stated she would have sage burned in the home to hopefully help with bad

Quiet, relaxing stay

Much appreciated my stay. Very clean (my highest priority) with full kitchen. 10 minute drive to the many trails of the Laguna area. Thanks to the hosts for providing such a nice space.

Cozy perfect little get away spot

We came down for my brother’s Marine Corps Graduation in San Diego. It’s great being so close to San Diego but not having to stay on the city. Checkin was super easy and communication was great and made everything smooth and easy. Being able to unwind near the fireplace after a long day was amazing ! Coffee in the morning looking out the beautiful huge bay windows was the perfect way to start the day. Parking was super close to the front door which made loading and unloading super easy especially with a kiddo under 2 .

Wonderful & Quiet Escape

The photos in listing do not do this lovely cabin justice. It is a wonderful property. Cabin is roomy, has excellent amenities and was in a great location to explore the surrounding areas. The yard is expansive and beautiful with lots of nooks to relax in. Cabin is located very near to the main home of the property owners, but still feels very private.

Both are adoring grandparents and their sizable families live within a few hours drive all around San Diego County. Doris is a California girl and a Five Star Chef and her husband, Odd is a native-born Norwegian, a retired oil platform engineer. They purchased this house in 1995 and have recreated a path together with Norwegian Woods, your home away from home.

With over ten years as the Chef at an upscale B&B, and my Norwegian-born husband, a retired oil platform engineer, we made the decision to recreate our paths.

We chose this property because of its peaceful energy and unique Native American history, and old growth forest setting.

The tranquil setting among the trees enhances the privacy unlike any other.

Inside, the circular fireplace beckons you to gather round and enjoy a cocktail or toddy, tea or coffee and each other.

The property sits on a designated 'Kumuyaay Native American Heritage' site with one of the largest known collections of rock morteros in this area, along with many pottery shards

The property was a part a summer/fall encampment for desert and coastal Indian bands for hundreds and possibly thousands of years. According to many local tribal members familiar with the property, this is a very special place and blessed. We believe them.
