Kristine was a very gracious host who went above and beyond to help us with things to do in the area. Communication was prompt and very friendly. They were a friendly and lovely couple. The house and location are outstanding. The views are much better than the pictures describe. If you want some peace and quiet on a beautiful lake with close proximity to Nederland and Peak to Peak then this is your place.

This was a wonderful vacation for a family wedding and reunion where we all met and stayed at different parts of Blackhawk. The view from this location was absolutely stunning of the mountains and lake horn. I highly recommend it.

Way Up There!

The cabin is very nice and clean inside. We were disappointed that it was very grown up trying to get down to the lake and that side of the lake was so overgrown in the water that my husband couldn't fish there. Also, it was quite a ways from everything, so we spent a lot of time driving. The altitude messed with my husband's sleeping, but overall, it was a nice stay. Kristine was great to work with!

A peaceful and magical spot

We absolutely loved our stay here. We were looking to just get away from the city and be immersed in nature and that is exactly what we got here. The lake brings within viewing distance all kinds of animals. So many hummingbirds, dragonflies, bunnies and chipmunks, and we also saw a few moose across the lake! I highly recommend this place if you're looking for some peace and quiet and a recharge with natures surroundings.

Sibling Weekend

The property location is stunning and feels off the beaten path but still convenient to towns close by. I was surprised at how clean it was for an older home. It was spacious and comfortable and the hummingbirds were delightful.

Beautiful mountain getaway

This property has all the comforts of home and then some. Great view and peaceful surroundings. We found plenty to do to entertain my teens. Property owner was super responsive and caring as we stayed there during a wild snowstorm. She made sure we had everything we needed and checked in regularly. You will not be disappointed staying at this beautiful home!

Perfect Vacation

The white Christmas of our dreams came true in this beautiful home. My family and I spent a wonderful week in this amazing property. The host was extremely responsive, detailed and courteous while we planned and throughout our stay. Coming from Florida and never seeing snow in the mountains before, it could not have been better. The house has everything and more needed for a perfect stay. We felt right at home. Kitchen is very well equipped. We were able to cook all 3 meals and even baked cakes. Make sure to stop by the store on your way to the house, because once you’re there you will not want to go into town. Thank you for everything. We hope to stay again.

Absolutely amazing

This place was better than any expectation we could have. Beautiful, peaceful, serene. Layout and set up of home was great. The beds were very comfortable. Warm and cozy is best way to describe. Beautiful property and views. We found ourselves more at the property than anywhere else. 4 wheel drive a must. It snowed pretty good while there, but not overwhelming. Lake was frozen, but our kids loved that. Gets dark early, so plan accordingly. This place is well up the mountain. Lots of winding roads, so be prepared. Well worth the drive to the top. I felt like our busy family slowed down to spend time together this entire trip.

Beautiful cabin with a picture-perfect view of a lake and the mountains

We stayed for two nights when the aspen had turned to gold. We enjoyed very much the panoramic view from the sitting room and deck of the lake with the mountains and trees...made perfect by a visit to the lake by a bull moose in the morning to bid us goodbye. Visit to Colorado School of Mines

My second time to stay at this gorgeous cabin. Only 16 miles from Golden, through the State Park so windy roads take a bit longer but the views are amazing. Very relaxing place to unwind.

Sweet mountain retreat

We had a GREAT time on a beautiful property in the mountains. This was a unique property next to a mountain lake with great views all day. With clear skies all of our days, we were able to clearly see the milky way and hear a couple owls chatting in the evening. We would definitely return. Thanks to the owners!

Quite mountain mini vacation

Weather was not the best for outdoors. We still walked around the lake, with poncho on. Saw moose. Stunning sights of mountains and fog over the lake. The home is Stunning clean. I wish i could hire the cleaner for my home. Everything a family needs: towels, blankets, clean comfortable bed, full stocked kitchen. Coffe, microwave, electric grill, washer and dryer. I will come back. This is heaven on earth.

Our stay was amazing, the house is super clean and convenient. It has all the amenities one might need. Kristin, the host was gracious and responsive, gave me alot of useful information about the area. I wish I could upload pictures to my review, because the ones on the listing DO NOT reflect the beauty of the location. The house has the most beautiful view of the lake from the living room, outside patio and master bedroom upstairs. The view alone is worth every penny. We will definitely be back!!!

Perfect way to end the summer!
