Rien de tel que de passer du temps sur le lac Big Glen à Glen Arbor! Orchard Oaks Cottage est situé en retrait de la route sur un immense terrain boisé, ce qui en fait un endroit idéal pour emmener les enfants. L’eau est de l’autre côté de la rue mais a un accès très facile avec une belle fa��ade de sable et un quai (quai enlevé début septembre). Maison de style chalet pittoresque avec une ambiance vintage dispose de 3 chambres (une est une chambre de style loft) et 1. 5 salles de bains. Au niveau principal, il y a 2 BD avec chacun un lit Queen. Le BD à l'étage dispose de 2 lits gigognes (4 lits jumeaux). La mezzanine a un lit jumeau. Une abondance de fenêtres laisse entrer la vue magnifique sur le lac et le soleil. TV à écran plat / DVD dans le salon + câble et WIFI. Votre animal de compagnie bien maniéré est la bienvenue. Nous sommes désolés, mais les feux en plein air ne sont pas autorisés sauf dans le barbecue. Quai enlevé fin septembre

Situé juste à l'extérieur du village de Glen Arbor, vous pourrez facilement vous rendre dans les magasins, les restaurants et toutes les activités amusantes de la ville. Vous pouvez louer des vélos et des canoës en plein centre-ville. Il y a aussi un parcours de golf miniature et une location de canoë sur la rivière Crystal pour s'amuser en famille. Sleeping Bear Dunes et le lac Michigan sont à quelques minutes. Situé à 30 minutes de Traverse City, à 15 minutes de Leland. Une région riche en histoire et beauté naturelle - vous ne serez pas déçu.

Floors could have been cleaner, walls are dusty in bedroom. Kitchen and bathrooms and linens were clean, though so that helps!

Perfect Vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Home was perfect. Kids loved having direct access to the lake and never wanted to leave the water. Crossing the street for the lake access was without issue. The house only came with three fans and we were very glad to have brought our own.

Much needed get away

We enjoyed our stay very much. The remodeled bathroom was so nice and clean. The house was very comfortable and clean.

Family Time

The house was a real treat. It’s hard to find a home to accommodate 3 adults and 3 children. We found everything we needed at the property and felt the rate was very fair. The lake access and layout of the home are perfect for family.

Glen Lake

The house is in a great location directly across the street from Glen Lake and only a few mins from the town of Glen Arbor. Pre check in communication and the check in and out process was great. The house has a very musty odor predominantly in the bedrooms. Overall we had a great stay and enjoyed the property.

Wooded wonderland!

Good location, dumpy cottage

We loved having access to Glen Lake and being close to town. But everything about this house was rickety, worn out or even broken. Bad lighting, kitchen drawers that barely opened,,rickety tables, chairs, even the stairway banister. Also there was a lot of clutter. I don’t need a fancy cottage but this was kind of depressing

Good Bones Dirty Cabin

Cabin is in great location with easy access to Glen Lake. It came equipped with kitchen items and linens for beds. Issue is cleanliness. Cabin had cob webs, dust, dirty kitchen and bathroom as well as dirty dishes. I wouldn’t recommend for this reason for the price.

The beds are comfortable and things functioned properly it was nostalgic and cute. Could use a little clear out to feel more spacious.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was as described. No real surprises. Price was quite high for a weekend trip. The furniture all needs to be updated, but the main bathroom was really nice. Good location, approximately 1.5 miles from downtown Glen Arbor. I'll probably look to stay elsewhere next time.

Reviewer Comments: We have been vacationing annually in the Glen Arbor area for over ten years & Orchard Oaks is one of our favorite pet friendly places to stay. Located right on M-22, it is dog walking distance to downtown. We really enjoyed teaching our lab to dock dive into Big Glen. The beds were comfortable, which is not something we can say about most of the properties we have rented. However, it was definitely owner's cottage, not their house--meaning it is rustic. We would rent this property again & recommend it to others.

Plenty of space for 2 families with 4 kids 7-13 and a dog.We spent our mornings and late afternoons on the dock and our evenings on the deck after grilling dinner and taking advantage of the easy to get to hikes and exploring Glen Arbors laid back scene. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. Didn't see or hear neighbors - which was perfect. Fully intend to book the same property again next year. Highly recommend this gem. Thanks!

Orchard Oaks and Service Feedback

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed at Orchard Oaks 6 days. I grew up in this area and know about rentals, as I had a rental with Leelanau Vacation Rental. On the 2nd day of our stay we saw a mouse race across the living room floor. I left a message to the company the next morning and did not get a response so I left another message and then got a phone call. I was told they would cone out the next day, did not happen so I let them know again. On the day before we left their maintenance came out. We found mouse poop in their cupboards, with kitchen utensils. Gross! The place was musty and back bedrooms by restroom smelled like urine. There is 1 shower, when you have 7 people, that is pretty small. I would limit this place to only 4.we were not reimbursed for anything and management swept it under the rug, no call at the end of stay! We were left with 3 trash bags and not enough toilet paper fir a group of people. The place could offer more accomodations

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location was good, but the house was not clean.Two of my children and my husband had a terrible time with asthma. My husband and I spent about 3 hours one morning cleaning the floor and dusting picking up a lot of dog hair. It is old and rustic which could be charming, but needs several updates to kitchen and bathroom. Was hoping for a cleaner and more updated stay

Glen Arbor Sleeping Bear Trip

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location was perfect but the photos of the property are misleading. The property did have a dock and direct lake access but the photos made it appear that the cottage was right on the lake not across the street. Some of the furniture looks like it was from the 60's but it was functional. Coffee pot needs to be replaced. It brewed the coffee very slowly and coffee was like water even though we put in double the amount of coffee than normal. Other than that, the kitchen was reasonably stocked. Cottage had a musty odor from not having the heat on. It did dissipate after the heat was on for a time but never really went away. One of the beds had dog hair and sand in both the sheets and bedspread. We washed both before using this room. Basically, it was a roof over our heads that met basic needs.

Reviewer Comments: Lets start with the good, The house is a great location and the main living room is very spacious and bright with the windows. The lake access is across teh main road and down steep stairs which didnt work great for us with a small child but that was listed / shown in the description. The bad - The house needs a deep clean, there's dust everywhere and a musty smell that lingers. The kitchen ceiling is full of dead flies. We arrived right at 4 and upon opening the door it was unclear if this property was cleaned aside from changing the sheets between guests. There was hair on the bathroom floor, a pile of dust swept into the corner of the hallway, the fridge had crumbs on the shelves and on the rubber sealing of the door, crumbs on the counter from the toaster. dust and cobwebs on the ceilings/walls, paintings, pretty much everywhere. I emailed Visit up north after my stay but I didn't immediately reach out because in the check in instructions it states "no discounts for housekeeping issues" So this leads me to believe you know this is an issue and nothing would be done by complaining. there was also a tip envelope for the housekeeping staff which just really rubbed me the wrong wayThis house could be really great but unfortunately it fell short.
