A Dream come true

  • 5 of 5

We spent a week here in mid august 2016. I could not have asked for better accommodations. There were 7 of us there for a Sibling Retreat. We are all senior citizens ranging in age from late 50's to late 70's. The house was immaculate, and had all the comforts of home. All we had to bring was the food we wanted to eat, all the appliances, including the washer and dryer were handy to have on site. Having all the room, and easy access to the home as well as to the beach was outstanding. For those of us not so mobile, the views from the deck were outstanding. One can sit on the deck - level with the dining room, and the world passes by your view. While there, we watched the cruise ships parade past on their way to Alaska on Saturday night. We were stopped at Hood's Canal draw bridge on our way up, and sure enough, when we arrived at the house, and went out on the deck, we were lucky enough to see a submarine being escorted out to sea. (make sure you bring your binoculars as there is a LOT going on out there) Crab season opened up while we were there, and there were crab boats lining the horizon on Monday morning! For those of us eager to explore, Sequim was centrally located on the Olympic Peninsula. Of course we shopped and ate downtown Sequim, and visited a lavender farm, and in a day trip, we were able to see Hurricane Ridge, Crescent Lake, Sol Duc Falls, Port Townsend, Port Angeles, Neah Bay and with a ferry ride, some of us even made it to Victoria for High Tea and Butchart gardens. My only regret was that we booked it for only one week. Two would have been twice as good.

Wonderful large home directly on the waterfront

  • 5 of 5

Our group of 7 travel buddies stayed at this home for 4 nights in early March. The best thing is the location directly on the waterfront. We enjoyed watching the birds, ocean traffic, the sky, and the mountains. The deck is huge so there is lots of room outside. The home is also very roomy inside, with 4 bedrooms. Simone was great to work with. We liked having the key code entry so no one needs to carry a key.

We had a clear sunny day to drive up to Hurricane Ridge, which is very impressive, and also enjoyed time at Lake Crescent, Port Angeles, and the Dungeness Spit.

Large house, beautiful mountain views

  • 5 of 5

We rented the house over NYE weekend and had a great time--as everyone says, it was large enough to fit everyone comfortably and the open layout was great. The furniture is somewhat dated, but the mountain views more than make up for it. The hot tub is also nice and large--we fit all 8 people into it! We did day trips to the Dungeness Spit. I hope to come back!

What a great family get away!

  • 4 of 5

We got back last week from our family vacation in Sequim. This "cabin" is perfect for a large group, the living/dining/kitchen area are open and inviting. The deck is huge. The hot tub is fabulous! We spent three nights, slept all ages comfortably (we were 10 in all, ages 4-64). We will go back again!

Excellent views and comfort

  • 5 of 5

This is a comfortable home for a family. Large open spaces where everyone can gather, and the deck affords such amazing views of the Dungeness Lighthouse and Mount Baker. We took day trips to the Olympic National Forest, but also enjoyed the lavender farms and hiking around Sequim. Our twenty-somethings were like kids when we went to the Olympic Game Park. We also were very grateful for the hot tub after a day of hiking! I practiced yoga on the deck in the morning -- can't imagine a more peaceful place for OM.

Awesome family place

  • 5 of 5

If you've got a large group & want to stay together, this is the place for you! We had 10 people (ages 11-1/2 months to 74) & never felt cramped. Lots of space to eat, play games, watch TV (who has time for that????), etc. Sitting in the hot tub as the sun set -- breathtaking! Kitchen was super well equipped. Clean, spacious -- everything we could wish for.

Map

Birdwatching, Olympic Game Farm, Three Crabs restaurant, direct views of the New Dungeness Lighthouse. Eagles love to perch on the driftwood , on the beach, directly behind the home. Snow shoeing at Olympic National Park. Day trips to Olympic National Park, Victoria, B.C., Port Townsend, Port Angeles, Cape Flattery (northwesternmost point in the contiguous USA). , berry picking, running along the flat, quiet road with views of the ocean on one side and the mountains on the other side. Watching the traffic in the shipping lanes. You may be lucky to spot an aircraft carrier or a submarine, along with the cargo ships and cruise ships. The expansive views from the deck include (but are not limited to): the beach (obviously, lol), Dungeness Bay, the Straight of Juan De Fuca, Victoria B.C., Mt Baker, the Cascade mountains, the Olympic mountains, wildlife (you may see: eagles, otters, seals, deer, whales have been known to stray into the bay, but wildlife are on their own schedules).
