About this property
Lake Michigan Beachfront Efficiency Guest House
Located in Good Hart, 12 miles north of Harbor Springs, this tiny beachfront A-frame is a perfect 'honeymoon getaway' for any stage in your relationship. Cozy and romantic, it’s situated one hundred feet from our large Tudor A-frame with a stand of cedar in between for privacy. It is old-world styled to match, furnished in antiques, with a separate drive and beach area.
It has is a large stone and Azak deck overlooking Lake Michigan, complete with deck chairs and an elaborate corner bench and table for outside dining. Though small, everything you need is there! The tumbled-marble floor hosts a very comfortable quality foldout log double bed, electric heat, tv, table and chairs, combination kitchen sink/refrigerator/freezer, antique washstand, and half-bath with granite countertop. An attached private and unique stone-and-timber outside shower is a favorite feature! The yard in front and beach yield spectacular views of Charlevoix, Beaver Island, and the entrance to the Straits of Mackinaw. You can beach walk as far as you want.
M119, at the top of our bluff, is extremely popular with bicyclists and car buffs who never tire of the 'green tunnel of trees' with magnificent views of the lake between Harbor Springs and the sand dunes of Sturgeon Bay north of Cross Village. Evenings will provide some of the most beautiful sunsets you have ever seen and occasional northern-light spectacles best viewed near the warmth of our beach fire pit with all the free wood you can burn.

We thought the area/location and property were wonderful. The owners were very communicative, friendly, and helpful. The cabin and property were both very clean and well-maintained. What a peaceful, beautiful, and relaxing place to enjoy, with our pup included!
Great hosts, location and accommodations. Direct ccess to the beach. The pet guidelines were clear and it was easy to follow them. The beach house felt private and safe.

About the host
Hosted by Richard and Stephanie Guyor
Retired teachers, we built the guest house as place to stay while we constructed our larger home next door on our 202 feet of lake MI frontage, providing a fantasy-like getaway to hundreds of appreciative guests since 1974. Every year we have added unique features to the property while also completely restoring, as volunteers, the historic St. Ignatius mission church, 1/2 mi. north on the beach, and keeping it open daily for visitors to discover & enjoy.
Why they chose this property
Located on Lamkin Rd., a designated Natural Beauty Road fronting Lake Michigan below the M-119 Tunnel of Trees, halfway between Harbor Springs and Cross Village, on a natural point of beachfront property, it provides privacy in a popular resort area.
What makes this property unique
Gated entrance, secluded privacy, view four stone waterfalls on property, one with arched bridge approach and deck overlook . . subtle night lighting. Brilliant starlit nights enjoyed by the beach fire. Swim, sail, kayak or canoe from our beach, or sun & shade under a beach umbrella.
