Cottage, Studio, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 2)
A perfect 'honeymoon getaway' for any stage in your relationship, our cozy and romantic A-frame is situated one hundred feet from our large Tudor A-frame with a stand of cedar in between for privacy. It is old-world styled to match, furnished in antiques, with a separate drive and beach area.
Inside, it is an efficiency-type with tumbled marble floor, electric heat, a Queen Anne futon that makes into a very comfortable double bed, a combination sink-stove-refrigerator/freezer unit, and kitchen area. There is a half-bath with built in vanity and granite counter top and an attached classy stone and timber private hot outdoor two-person shower.
There is a large stone and cedar deck overlooking Lake Michigan, complete with deck chairs and an elaborate corner bench and table for outside dining. The view from there is spectacular; and from the beach a few steps away, you can see Charlevoix, Beaver Island, and the entrance to the Straits of Mackinaw.
M119, at the top of our bluff, is extremely popular with bicyclists and car buffs who never tire of the 'green tunnel of trees' with magnificent views of the lake between Harbor Springs and the sand dunes of Sturgeon Bay north of Cross Village. Evenings will provide some of the most beautiful sunsets you have ever seen and occasional northern-light spectacles best viewed near the warmth of a beach fire.

About Richard and Stephanie Guyor
Retired teachers, we built the guest house as place to stay while we constructed our larger home next door on our 202 feet of lake MI frontage, renting it to hundreds of appreciative guests since 1974. Every year we have added unique features to the property while also completely restoring, as volunteers, the historic St. Ignatius mission church, 1/2 mi. north on the beach, and keeping it open daily for visitors to discover & enjoy.
Richard and Stephanie Guyor purchased this Cottage in 1969

Great place to get away!
This place is small but has all the room you need and is very comfortable! Owners are extremely accommodating and helpful. The view is amazing and sound of the waves makes it a hard place to leave.
Quaint and Relaxing Escape
Our stay was amazing! The cottage had everything we needed for a comfortable week's stay, and the view of Lake Michigan is breathtaking! It is evident the owners take great pride in maintaining this property. This is definitely a place we would return to and recommend for a "Pure Michigan' vacation! Thank you for the wonderful time - the owners are true gems!!
Beautiful cabin and property
My wife and I had a wonderful stay and Dick and Stephanie's cabin. Dick was very accommodating and gave us helpful tips in where to visit while enjoying our stay. The property and cabin were very clean and they have put a lot of work into both. Will be recommending this place to friends and family.
We were very pleased with our stay. The cottage was quaint, very clean, and provided us with all of the amenities needed for our stay. The property was private and peaceful. Our cats loved chasing chipmunks and squirrels around the cottage, and our son enjoyed playing in the sand. We watched a beautiful sunset each night, fell asleep to tranquil waves crashing on the shore below, and woke to warm, pleasant weather. It was a delightful vacation.
Breathtaking and Beautiful
I had been waiting to get the opportunity to visit this guest house for about five years + and finally we did. We totally enjoyed the location as we had our own private beach area right on my favorite Great Lake--Michigan! On a scale of 1 to 5, I'd rate it a 10. So romantic, cozy and beautifully created! We've rented many places and this is probably my favorite. My husband and I plan to return next year. Stunning view out the front door and ditto while taking outdoor shower. You can easily cook with two burners and plenty of kitchen supplies and also supplied outdoor grill. We didn't go out to eat the day we were there as we wanted to rush back to enjoy the house, have a campfire and watch the sunset. Doesn't get any better than this!
Perfect Anniversary Getaway!
We had the pleasure of spending our 2nd Anniversary at this amazing lake cottage! From the moment we arrived with our 2 pugs, we knew it was going to be hard to leave. The location couldn't be more perfect, tucked under some trees, with a perfectly manicured lawn and a direct view/access out to the lake. The pictures really don't capture the beauty of the location and the craftsmanship of the cottage. The description and photos of the interior are extremely accurate and you can tell how small (and perfectly cozy) the cottage is. It worked great for us, even with the 2 small dogs. And once you arrive, you will want to spend every waking moment out on the porch, or down at the beach. We made a beach fire every evening and roasted hot dogs and marshmallows and played guitar while the sun was setting. And it was so lovely to sleep with the door open and hear the waves crashing into the rocks at night. It was by far the most peaceful and relaxing vacation, just what we needed to escape the big city hustle!
The owners are fantastic and we had such nice conversations with Richard while there, who provided us with lots of details and made sure we were well taken care of. Thank you so much for your wonderful hospitality!
We cannot wait to come back next year to this magical cottage!
