The place was as advertised with great views and plenty of space. Only negative was the property was a little dated and new carpeting would be nice, but with all the amenities and beauty of views we would come again. Also the communication with host was responsive and would give six stars if possible

Wow! We absolutely loved this place and can’t wait to come back. The location is perfect- walking distance to all the excitement of Seal Beach, the views were breathtaking, and the house is a great size for families. The house has more space than we were expecting. The beds were so comfortable. The dated windows were a challenge throughout the house, and the bunk bed/office room could use some curtains to block light for that sleeping area. The provided beach towels, chairs, and umbrella were a plus. We look forward to our next visit!

Family Beach Week

This is a roomy home on a quiet, very breezy beach. There is a beautiful view from living room, dining room, kitchen and master bedroom. This home is dated but very clean and adequately supplied. Host is friendly and helpful. Easy walk to town and convenient grocery shopping, etc. Upgrades are coming to this unit; might as well book it before it gets super fancy!

Perfect location for our vacation. The property is fresh, bright and perfectly decorated to fit the beach theme. Plenty of space for the family to spread out and enjoy the all of the amenities. Kitchen is fully stocked which made cooking a breeze. Tons of bikes, beach chairs and games - we packed our own but didn’t have to use once. Spent my summer growing up in fire island and this is the first time renting a house could not be more pleased. I think our dog wants to go back as well! Already talking about booking for next year

This was a scam

Beware!! This property is under construction and the owner “Johnny” listed the property with beautiful pictures of the home. Once my family and I arrived on check in date (10/19/24). We arrived to a property that is under construction and not livable. I had two young children with me and I was worried for my family’s safety. I called Johnny and messaged him many times and he was terrible in replying. I had to directly contact Vrbo and a representative named Katia also tried contacting Johnny and she was unsuccessful. Please be aware.

Unfortunately, Angelica went to the wrong home. The building consists of 3 units. The 'upper" penthouse listed on VRBO and other rental platforms is NOT under construction and is exactly as described. There is a lower bottom level home which is clearly described in the property information and that home is being remodeled. The home listed on VRBO and other rental sites is UNIT#1 as described on arrival instructions and NOT Unit#4 which is being remodeled. Although I somewhat understand the confusion when arrival is in evening and dark, but its important to clearly read and understand arrival instructions and in doing so this entire situation could have been avoided. We have had no issues with guests arrivals who followed instructions and I'm sure those highly rated reviews are posted. Should there be any questions regarding this information, please reach out and I will be happy to help.

The host was very responsive and the beds were comfortable. The exterior of the building is very rough. Rusty handrails up to the unit, mold in places, the outdoor chairs were damaged. The kitchen is well equipped, but does not have anything extra like salt and pepper, spices, etc. The internet was very spotty - okay for reading texts but not for watching videos. When it rained, the water came under the front door and flooded into the living room soaking all of our shoes. Only some of the windows work and therefore it was very stuffy at times. The view is pretty, but what they don't show is that the beach is covered with ocean debris and trash. You cannot get to the water without walking over it. I think it is because of the location. Further up the beach, near the pier the beach is cleaner. The host provided 4 lawn chairs, but there is nothing else for the beach. Also, there are no toys or games. We were disappointed that we splurged for a beachfront location and it wasn't very nice.

It was quite unfortunate given the circumstances and the exceptional ratings we have had before and after this stay. Our building is currently undergoing a complete renovation, which is why we offered a significant discount of almost $200 per night on the nightly rate. We provided a 20-item spice rack which included salt and pepper located in pantry. When we received a complaint about the internet, we promptly addressed the issue in minutes with a quick phone discussion on the first day of the stay. We had the renter switch to a different WIFI network, which immediately resolved the problem. Additionally, we tested the internet speed and confirmed it to be at 500 Mbps. During the winter months, the city constructs a sand berm to protect against winter storms, which is typically removed before summer. The beach is cleaned daily by sand-filtering tractors, and any remnants are usually washed up from the sea, as is common with most beaches after a storm. We feel genuinely sorry that this renter did not have the experience they were hoping for, especially considering the price point was well below market value. We also accommodated their requests for early arrival and late checkout, both of which were granted without hesitation. Our team works tirelessly to provide an exceptional experience for all our guests.
