York is a popular beach community with history, charm and accessibility. First settled in 1624 and the first incorporated city in America, the area offers a myriad of fun things to do including relaxing on the beach, fishing, sightseeing and shopping. It is home to the John Hancock Wharf and Mark Twain's Summer home and is an area which still has architectural examples from the Gilded Age, particularly the Shingle style.
There is much to do including fishing, kayaking, boating, biking, golfing, & dining in York and the surrounding communities of Kittery, Cape Neddick, Ogunquit or Portsmouth, NH. The area is known for summer theater, concerts, and the many activities in York Beach including 10 pin bowling, miniature golf, and salt water taffy and homemade ice cream . There are local forts, lighthouses. and historic homes. Rain or shine, there is an endless array of things to do.

About Kevin Breen
Our family has spent summers in York Harbor since 1948, spending endless days on one the most beautiful in Maine. We are lucky enough to live in York and hope you too will enjoy what York has to offer.
Kevin Breen purchased this House in 2014
Why Kevin Breen chose York Harbor
We are excited to have purchased this historic property in 2014. We are busy updating the interior to provide the coastal feel it deserves. The highly sought after location of the house is at the top of the hill that runs down to the beach, allowing you to easily go back and forth without the bother of loading a car. It is also a 2 minute walk to the York Harbor Inn and Stage Neck Inn which host many weddings and have restaurants on site. A unique house in a unique location.

Fabulous stay in York!
This is the second time my family and I (9 of us in total) have stayed at Kevin's rental in York and it was just as wonderful as last year. The house is clean, tastefully decorated, well-stocked kitchen and is spacious enough for everyone to have their own rooms and plenty of space for socializing. The kitchen/dining area were especially helpful for cooking and entertaining a large group. Plenty of chairs for everyone. It is just a short walk to a lovely beach/harbor walk and lots of restaurants close by. We look forward to coming back next spring!
We couldn't have picked a better home to spend New Year's with the family!
We've been using VRBO for family gatherings for a dozen years and Kevin's home takes the grand prize. The two living rooms on the first floor allow the TV lovers to be separated from those who prefer conversation / reading. The kitchen and open dining area are light-filled and sparkling clean. A mudroom allowed us plenty of room for shoes, coats and extra "stuff". We used the second floor bedrooms for the adults and the third floor for my nieces. It worked like a charm. This is the perfect home for lots of kids. Our gathering took place over New Year's (probably the coldest in history) so we were unable to take advantage of the lovely porch and private back yard but we'll be back when it's warmer. The location was perfect but again we spent most of our time inside which is why I'm so happy that we picked the perfect home! Thanks for the memories Kevin.
Great family gathering
A group of 10 family members, three generations spent a comfortable three days at the Woodbridge cottage. We happened to pick the first cold weekend of the year but the home was warm ,clean and the beds were comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed. There was enough space for the football watcher to enjoy the game without disturbing the folks that were otherwise engaged.
There were plenty of local attractions, beach walking and seafood eating. We really enjoyed the Cliff Walk.
Kevin answered our questions promptly and provided a great written description of the local history and attractions.
We were able to park four cars in the yard and there was also alternate parking available a short distance away. The curve just past the driveway did make it tricky to get out of the driveway but the passing cars were very curtious when our "lookouts" motioned for them to slow down.
Thanks Kevin for providing us with a gathering place for or memorable family gathering.
Great Location for a "Girls" Getaway
This house was the perfect place for our 60 year old "girls" getaway! We loved the spaciousness and the location! It was great to be able to walk to the beach and nearby restaurants. It is conveniently located to many other restaurants, beaches, shops and the theater, too. The roomy front porch was enjoyed morning, afternoon and evening, whether relaxing or sipping our favorite beverage! The only drawback was that our time there was too short!
The awesome house in York, Maine.
The house was awesome and we could see the ocean/beach from our front porch. We could walk to the beach in 2 minutes or less. We had a welcome package sent to my email that provided all the information on the house, places to eat, locations to visit, events to attend. Was a great weekend get-away.
Great house, great location, and great hosts!
awesome house and in a great location in Maine. Couldn't have been better.
