About Kevin Breen

Our family has spent summers in York Harbor since 1948, spending endless days on one the most beautiful in Maine. We are lucky enough to live in York and hope you too will enjoy what York has to offer.

Kevin Breen purchased this house in 2014

Why Kevin Breen chose Southern Coast

We are excited to have purchased this historic property in 2014. We are busy updating the interior to provide the coastal feel it deserves. The highly sought after location of the house is at the top of the hill that runs down to the beach, allowing you to easily go back and forth without the bother of loading a car. It is also a 2 minute walk to the York Harbor Inn and Stage Neck Inn which host many weddings and have restaurants on site. A unique house in a unique location.

Memorial Day weekend with family in York ME

  • 4 of 5

Overall, we had a great time. The house was big, beautiful, well-appointed, and in a good location. We had a problem with the DVD system not working, and the owners came over and fixed it. We were a large family (4 couples + small kids) and largely ate in. We were able to find everything we needed from local stores, and the kitchen essentially had everything we possibly needed for food preparation and serving.

The house is promoted as "being 100 yards from the beach" (which it indeed is); however, you must cross a very busy street to get there (we expected the house to be adjacent to the beach, with no street in between). Probably the single most important fact to know is that the house is at the bottom of a small dead man's curve so if you want to cross the street (or get your car in/out of the driveway), it can be quite precarious. There were plenty of clean towels and sheets, but it would be nice to have bars in each bathroom to hang up wet towels to dry.

In summary, despite wishing some of the house features were different, EVERY SINGLE adult in our family came away from the weekend saying it was wonderful and how they thoroughly enjoyed the house. So Ken & Catherine - THANK YOU!

We had a wonderful time in this beautiful, spacious, and conveniently located home for our girls weekend away. Each room had its own character and we loved the decor. The owner was very responsive to our questions. We only wished we had better weather when we were there!

Excellent stay in York, Maine

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful stay at Kevin's property in York, Maine. We were six adults and three kids and the set-up was perfect. There was plenty of room for everyone, including a large, well-stocked kitchen, and a lovely outdoor porch that we utilized during the sunny, spring weather. The house is well-maintained and very clean. We loved the two front living areas and the close proximity to York Harbor and the beautiful, rugged Cliff Walk just across the street. Kevin was very easy to work with and quickly responded to all my questions. We hope to come back again next spring. The house and the surrounding area was a big hit with the whole extended family!
