Clean and cozy lake house

  • 5 of 5

Jessie, Jim and Laura are welcoming hosts with a beautiful property. The home is comfortable and well stocked with towels and other necessities for a stay at the beach. Jim made sure we had kindling and logs for a fire in the beautiful stone fireplace, or the fire pit on the beach. A few short blocks walk to restaurants, bakery, grocery store. Northport is a good home base for exploring Leelanau Penninsula by bike or car. Even a 9 hole golf course is half mile away---public course in great shape for $15!

The Ultimate relaxing vacation

  • 5 of 5

The cottage was truly a kick back and relax vacation. Jessie, Jim and Laura were so nice and accommodating, Welcomimg us, describing antiques (interesting not "don't touch it" antiques!), and yet barely knew they were around. The perfect hosts! We have 3 teenagers who had more than enough to do. The cottage appeal was beyond charming, a throw back with all the amenities of unique lighting, wood floors, easy clean up kitchen (kids track a lot of sand!), a firepit, and a dock for on the edge of water views..way better than an infinity pool in vegas. If anyone is looking for a gorgeous, private, lawn perfect for bocce, frisbee AND croquet, a place where the kids can run and adults can watch in awe (both kids and lake) then this is the place for you. We were able to moor our boat and jet ski right out front for quick and easy access and the marina for gas was about 500 yards away. EASY!

Additional worthy comments: beds comfy, dishwasher perfect, AC in master a perk. Cottage location allowed us to bike to lighthouse, run a 5K to end of road and back and hit town within 5 minutes the other way to grab an evening ice cream cone. Tennis courts were a walk or bike away as well. PERFECTION! We shall return!

Great Beach House!

  • 5 of 5

We loved staying at this house! The property can't be beat. It has Lawn space and a sandy beach. The owners were easy to work with, friendly and helpful during our stay. The house itself fit us perfectly. Its an older home, very cool - perfect lake house but not fancy. The location is ideal. It's on the beach with a short walk to the marina or town. We would happily rent the Beach House again in the future.

Beautiful home and setting!

  • 5 of 5

My family and I stayed at this location the first full week of August and were impressed with everything! The location, beach, home and owners were terrific! The sandy beach and the crystal clear water were amazing to my family and I. We traveled here from Iowa and there was 1 40-ish adult, 4 mid-20 year olds and 2 small children and it was a perfect, serene and great way to reconnect for all of us.

I would highly suggest taking a trip back in time to this great location.
