Another great stay.
Rented both houses at Pine Point for a family gathering. Perfect for large all ages crowd. This is our second stay at this property and won’t be our last!
Calkins Family Weekend
We had such a wonderful time at your beach house. The weather was perfect for an April stay. My kids and grandchildren loved it and we will definitely be making Scarborough a yearly event. The only negative would be the third floor bedroom that didn’t have a bathroom and the lack of a cook top in the kithen. We did a lot of takeout. Thanks for everything! It truly is a beautiful spot
Thanks for your review, you are correct there is no en suite bathroom for the third bedroom on that floor. So to clarify for future guest, there are two bathrooms on the third floor, one shared full bathroom, with whirlpool, on the second floor and a half bath on the first, five bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms as listed on the site. So sorry you didn't realize that they were three induction cooktops there, they work as well as any stove top,a microwave, and a full oven, but I understand only being there for the weekend you might want to do take out.....Hope you come back soon, Drew
It was a fantastic stay!!
I was pleasantly surprised with the property! It is 3 floors and the attached unit is barely even attached. We had privacy and a great view! Right next to the marsh with sunrises and sunsets. Around the block from the uncrowded beach (plenty of parking).
Thank you, Drew!
Beautiful house and great location!
This house was amazing and had everything that we needed! The view out the back is beautiful, and the back porch/yard provide the perfect area to sit and take in the views during the day as well as the stars at night. At first I thought the lack of a typical stove would be difficult, but the hot plates & oven worked just fine for our needs. For anyone that stays here I highly recommend securing the third floor master bedroom for your self. I took this room and I woke up each morning drenched in sunlight able to look out over the Nonesuch River like a king looking out on his kingdom!
Perfect for our needs.
There is a 4 BD house in front and a 5 BD house in back. We rented both houses for a wedding at Broadturn Farm. The location for the wedding was perfect. The houses, while not on the beach, are close to the beach. It's about 20 minutes to Portland. The houses were very clean and look exactly as pictured. The views are beautiful. Having all the bathrooms was really a plus. There was plenty enough parking for our 5 cars. There was a great fire pit in the backyard.
I have to give communication with the owner 0 stars. There was no internet when we arrived and Drew did not give me his cell; never did give me his cell. So we had to seek out internet in order to get in touch with him. He tried to fix it himself, but could not do it. An internet repairman was finally sent the day before we were leaving. From what I understand the 4 bedroom house might still have internet issues because there is one box.
Even though I read about the kitchen situation in the 5 bedroom house, I thought it would be okay. I don't understand the idea behind not having a cooktop in the kitchen. I found myself wanting to scramble some eggs but didn't want to be bothered pulling out the hotplate.
The towels could use an upgrade. And there is a limit on toilet paper. The thermostat is confusing and we couldn't find instructions.
But, all in all we had a great time staying here.
This rental was absolutely perfect for our group
We loved the view. Everything we needed was provided. Walking distance to the beach. Used the fire pit. Plenty of toys, chairs, etc to use at the beach. Wonderful experience.
