About this property

A Catalina Island Vacation Rental

My home on Catalina Island is a clean and comfortable place that allows you to relax, unwind and remember how wonderful being in a small ocean town truly is.
Perfect for a romantic get away : a family vacation or a business retreat. Just five minutes from the beach, shops, grocery store, the main strip and plenty of restaurants. You can use the fully equipped kitchen or have a BBQ or breakfast as the sun rises in the backyard. The home has a washer and dryer, internet and everything you need for your stay. If you find you need something we are fortunate to have an island native as our property manager that help you quickly settle in.

SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS: Our Catalina home has a queen size bed in one bedroom; a double bed and a double futon in the second bedroom and a single chair bed downstairs. While it works well for a family with kids, it is awkward for three(3) adult couples.
Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.

The location is perfect. About a 5 minute walk to the beach / pier / shops and close walk from the boat dock as well. Just a couple blocks from Vons so it was easy to carry groceries back. The street is quiet and the house is clean and cute. The backyard has a great grill. Great configuration for our family of five. (Kids 8-13)

While I grew up on the East Coast, I migrated to the Midwest for school and finally settled in New Mexico where I raised four beautiful, bright and independent kids. I love traveling, collecting art, photograghy and living part of the year in South America. By hosting and furnishing my Catalina home as a home away from home, I encourage my guests to experience the magic of Catalina Island

Why they chose this property

I bought my Catalina home when my kids were little. I wanted a place where they could safely walk to the beach and explore the way I did when I was young. Thirty seven years later, I still love the Flats of Avalon and now I watch my grandchildren explore.

What makes this property unique

Our Avalon home is one of the few Catalina vacation rentals that has a private fenced back yard which includes fruit tree, a cooking herbs garden, a BBQ and an outdoor dining area., table and chairs. The backyard is great for breakfast as the sun rises or dinner with friends and family
