Exactly as the host described and the perfect location for our weekend away. Property was the perfect size for the two of us, very clean and comfortable. Could hear the noise upstairs throughout the weekend but for the price it was ok.

Cute place. Clean, comfortable, and convenient to the soccer complex. I wasn’t familiar with Chesapeake City but we had a great time at the waterfront restaurants.

The rental was perfect for what we needed. The bed and living room furniture were very comfortable and the kitchen well stocked. The host was quick to respond to questions I had. I will definitely see if this rental if available the next time I’m in the area.

Perfect for two

The location so close to the C&D canal was perfect. Loved the CocaCola themed kitchen, which was stocked with all dishes and appliances we needed. Our biggest concern were the errors in the VRBO listing, which included washer and dryer on site, but those have since been corrected. Due to the history of the building, the ceiling was not well sound-proofed and every moment of the upstairs tenant could be heard, but I’m not sure that could be corrected. After a while, we didn’t even notice it.

Feedback

The place was very nice but if we had not asked the 2nd floor tenant for owners phone number we would have not been able to get into the unit until Thursday when our check in was Wednesday. Definitely the Vrbo site needs to update the website. There was not a washer or dryer. We appreciated being able to stay a few hours later due to the delayed check in

Lovely apartment, difficult check-in

The apartment was clean, comfortable, and convenient. No complaints at all. However, check in was a problem. The code that we were given did not work, and I could not contact the host because she did not give me her contact information. Meanwhile, our friends were waiting dinner for us (crab!!!). I finally managed to contact the cleaner of the apartment, and she gave me the cleaners' code to get in. We returned to the apt, only to find that it was occupied! Thank goodness they were not there at the time. We went back to our friends' home and had dinner. The host then contacted me and stated that the people who were supposed to check into the upstairs apt got into ours instead. This concerned me and made me wonder if both apts had the same code. The host stated that we could move into the upstairs apartment, but by then it was too late and we stayed with our friends. The next day, the host sent me a new code. We went back to the apt, but the code did not work, so I used the clearner code. Just out of curiosity, I tried the code on the upstairs apt and it worked. This was disturbing to say the least. Finally the host came to the apt, changed the code, tested it to make sure that it worked, and assured me that it was a unique code. The host agreed to refund the cost of the first night, which I was grateful for. My advice is to make sure you have the host's contact information on hand in case of problems.

The place was spotlessly clean and very nicely supplied, comfortable. The only problem was the noise. The upstairs neighbors were up at 5am and all their sounds came right through the ceilings, thumping, thumping...Then at 7 am the dump trucks come , the place is close to the street and every few minutes dump trucks come by, in and out of some place down the street there. They are very loud , rumbling by, amazing how many go in and out.Of the time I had rented it, I only stayed two nights, slept on the couch. It just wasn't the peaceful place I was really hoping for...
