Loved how they had everything needed as far as toiletries and laundry and dish detergent, everything was in excellent condition, if i had one thing to say they needed to improve was the lighting in some areas, but honestly it didn’t bother us that much. Definitely want to stay here again!

The cabin is just as pictured- very spacious and clean, with a location close enough to everything, but far enough to give you room to relax. The boat ramp is about a mile away and the lake is calm and managed to provide us with an opportunity to catch a few bass. The hosts were quick to provide information when needed

This was an amazing property. The house is aesthetically appealing! With all the “extra’s” it has something for everyone. The owner was very helpful with checking in and out. I absolutely will stay again when traveling near.

The house and property were perfect for us with plenty of space to spread out. The children’s toys and books were an amazing surprise! Our kids were very excited seeing the deer crossing the drive up to the house.

5 star cabin experience.

The basement was an incredible amenity that took our trip to the next level. The pool table, projector, and sound system made for a true five-star experience. The beds were very comfortable, and the cabin itself was cozy and peacefully tucked away in nature—perfect for escaping city life and reconnecting with the outdoors. Communication with the host was excellent; they were attentive and made sure everything was working perfectly, so we had no issues during our stay.

The perfect Cabin!

This cabin is absolutely perfect, truly a rustic cabin with modern amenities. We absolutely loved this place and the property is beautiful and secluded yet still fairly close to everything. The hosts are top notch and by far the best hosts we’ve rented from. They are the epitome of southern hospitality. The cabin is well furnished and the decorations are really give it that rustic vibe. We are so glad we chose Oakwood Hideaway, it was the perfect place to relax, take in some nature and see the sights. We are already looking in to when we can return. If you choose Oakwood Hideaway you will not be disappointed.

A wonderful family memory banked forever!

I stay in roughly 25 different places per year due to work. I must say this was one wonderful place to stay. We all have very fond memories still of our work-cation this past December. The kids loved playing pool while I loved sitting in the sunroom looking into the woods while drinking my coffee. We had fun in the hot tub when it was freezing cold outside. Such a neat place. We live in the country on a 30 acre farm and this just felt like home in the woods. I would recommend having a king size bed on the main floor and maybe the queen bed upstairs. Other than that it’s was perfect to me! (:

Nice town

Upon arriving, the grass wasn’t mowed and porches were very dirty definitely wasn’t inviting. I swept and cleaned the porches off immediately. The grass was so tall that my husband tripped over a rock that was supposed to be edging, thankful my mother hadn’t been the one. Upstairs a/c was not working so we moved downstairs which had many bugs both dead and alive, I slept with the lamp beside the bed on. We left a day early. We didn’t bring children this time, but if we had, there would be no way for them to play outside because of the grass weeds and poison ivy. Definitely wouldn’t have slept more than 4 people. The hosts were very nice and immediately replied to our concerns, giving us a credit for leaving early. I hate that it was in this condition being my parents first cabin rental.
