Cozy Studio w/ Lake View #144 at Donner Lake Village

This lake view unit includes a queen bed and queen bed sofa pullout, a kitchenette with sink, 3-top stove and mini oven, a medium-sized refrigerator, a microwave, a round table with four chairs, and a 32” Flat-screen TV. This unit has a sliding glass door leading to picnic tables, BBQs, and a grassy area. It is also steps away from one of our two saunas and an upstairs fireplace lounge. This unit has one of the best lake views at Donner Lake.
Our units are equipped with various amenities to cater to your needs, including free internet access, a sofa sleeper, a flat-screen television with Direct TV service, a mini refrigerator and microwave, a coffee station, a fan, a hair dryer, and an iron and ironing board, ensuring you have everything you need for a comfortable stay.
Donner Lake Village is near plenty of spots for hiking, skiing and snowboarding. Free WiFi is provided. A TV with cable channels and a seating area are provided in each studio. After getting back from hiking or skiing, guests' of the Donner Lake Village can wind down in the on-site sauna. Laundry facilities and free parking are also provided. Donner Peak is just 2.5 mi away from the Donner Lake Village. Historic Downtown Truckee is 8 minutes' drive from Donner Lake Village. Lake Tahoe is 19 mi away.

Basic Studio Apt

We stayed for three nights over MLK weekend. The apartment was fine, but definitely in need of some serious renovation/updating. I wish I had read other reviews about the walls being paper thin first. Our issue wasn’t with hearing the people next to us, rather the people staying above us liked to wake up at 5:30am, put their ski boots on and proceed to stomp back and forth across the apartment for hours. They also kept opening and closing the sliding glass door to their terrace, which made a loud scraping sound in our room each time. I mean how many times can you walk back and forth in such a small space or go in and out from the terrace? It was ridiculous and would go on for hours! The cleanliness level was not great either. Dirty, dirty carpet - I mean maybe that’s why people above were walking around in ski boots? Mattresses had stains on them, so I grabbed some extra sheets from the self service housekeeping closet and did another layer. That’s the other thing, communication with property management wasn’t bad, but all the info was sent via email and it was all self service. Probably not a place an elderly person or someone who isn’t great at email would want to stay. So overall, the room does what it says on the tin - 4 people slept there. Comfortably? That’s where there is room for improvement.
