Welcome to Century Home; The Charles!

The brother house to 'The Carol'.

Situated in the heart of the Yorkville section of Pottsville, PA, this townhome was just completely remodeled into the perfect mix of original character and modern efficiency. Guests will immediately feel a sense of warmth and coziness entering the rental. The Charles is centrally located within the city

The first floor includes a spacious living room with modern and classic furniture (the coziest leather couch ever!) and a Smart TV, a dining room that can comfortably host dinner for 10 people, and a brand new fully equipped kitchen with gorgeous black marble countertops, stainless steel GE (Café) appliances, and a deep, modern sink. Finishing off the first floor is the brand new back deck including new patio furniture and lights.

The second floor includes the first full bathroom equipped with a tub and shower glass unit. Next to the bathroom is a laundry room available at extra cost and for long stays only. The second bedroom has a full-sized bed and a Smart TV. The master suite with a king-size bed and a Smart TV is also on the second floor, and this includes a very large bathroom with double sinks and a 4-foot tile and glass shower.

The third floor includes the 3rd and 4th bedrooms. The first bedroom on the third floor has a full-size bed with storage, and the second bedroom includes 2 full-size beds and a writing desk as a designated work space.

This home is 1,750 sq feet

PARKING - There is a brand new off street parking area (large enough for 1-2 cars) right next to the house. Please view exterior photos for parking information. Free street parking is also available!

Guests have access to the 1st floor, 2nd floor, 3rd floor, and back deck. A laundry room can also be accessed for long stays only. There is a basement, but for owners utilities and storage space only.

We are also the owners of Century Home; The Carol right next door. This complex would be a convenient family/multi family getaway. Combined, both houses comfortably sleep 20 guests! You can check availability for ‘The Carol’ on our website.

The owners take pride in making their property welcoming, clean & organized. They took every step to make rental feel like home. Very pretty backyard landscaping to enjoy at night on deck. We enjoyed a week back in our hometown visiting family & friends.

13 folks (all family) spread across both rentals for Yuengling tour and hiking (Pulpit Rock/Pinnacle). Perfect for all our needs. Really like what Emily has developed.

This is an immaculately kept, restored building with modern furnishings and decor beautifully placed among original staircases, doors and other wood trim...Very charming. Downtown Pottsville is not ideal for vacationing but it met all our needs incl parking.

Overall house was average in good location. Few thing to consider for future guests - Parking can be tricky as it only offers 1 spot. -Also, thermostats can’t be controlled by renter. We had situation where 2 fl was cold and 3 rd floor was very hot.- very limited linen and pillow (2 per bed).

Lovely Pottsville Experience

We enjoyed everything about our overnight visit to Pottsville, especially the opportunity to stay together with friends at this recently restored and beautifully refurbished home. From the easy entry and accommodating owner, to the fully stocked unit, (including everything you'd want in a kitchen setting) comfortable beds, deck overlooking glorious gardens (with subdued lighting) and a reference booklet with suggested local visiting options, it was evident that the owners took time and care to provide for their guests! I will recommend this as a place to stay for others who wish to visit Pottsville and extend their visit from the Yuengling tour to The Wooden Key restaurant to the Hope Lavender Farm!!

Quaint Digs

We had a wonderful stay at this Pottsville Home. We were stopping in for a brief stay on our way to visit with our daughter in college Northwest of Pittsburgh. We enjoyed touring Yuengling Brewery and had a nice meal in town. Afterwards, it was really nice to come "home" to a place where we could comfortably gather and socialize without being cooped up in a hotel. The home itself is a gem! It is clear that the hosts poured creativity and love for the architecture and history into the renovations. It was comfortably and tastefully decorated. We really loved the photo albums of the renovation process which triggered much discussion about how things "used to be." The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen well stocked (if we were planning to cook.) We would definitely stay here again if our path took us through Pottsville!

This neighborhood is my favorite in the city of Pottsville. It is far enough away from the busy downtown, but close enough to easily access all of the favorite restaurants under 5 minutes.
