This beachfront condo is located on the second floor of Destin West s Gulfside Building. The furnished balcony overlooks the beachfront pool and offers beach views of the Emerald Coast. Destin West Gulfside 205 offers very close access to the beachfront pool and hot tub, a children s wading pool, a fitness center, and beach access boardwalk. The bay-side amenities are easily accessible across the walkover bridge and include the lazy river, zero-entry pool, heated pool with waterfall, and two community hot tubs. Complimentary wireless internet is provided.

Great location

Great location, near shops, restaurants, harbor about 15 min drive away. It is quite a long walk from the parking lot to the condo. King sized bed is hard as a rock and couch is pretty run down and could use replacing. Overall we enjoyed our stay though.

Zero Communication and Patio Slider Broken

The management company didn’t respond in a timely manner. I travel for work monthly and this is one of the worst mattresses I’ve ever slept on. Back patio door would not lock. Locksmith came to fix and said it was repaired incorrectly and he had to special order parts. So our entire stay, the back patio wouldn’t lock. We were on the second floor, but it wasn’t that high up. Just overall frustrated with the communication from the management company. Maybe after this review they will respond in a more timely manner.

When you contacted our office before your arrival you were attended to. As you also reported your findings, they were quickly addressed. We had a maintenance technician check on the door and mattress. Reported back that there didn't appear to be anything wrong with the mattress and as the door was not locking there was a locking device in the track of the door on the second-floor balcony. As our maintenance person could not fix the lock we employed a vendor who subsequently needed to order parts for this locking handle. However, your door was still lockable with the locking mechanism in the track. I do understand mattresses can be rated differently by different people. Some like a softer mattress and others prefer them hard. Some even prefer a pillow top. Every time you sent us a message it was afterhours. You were reminded when our office was open and that is why every message you sent was not answered immediately. However, you were also given an afterhours emergency phone number that is monitored 24 hours a day and is responded to within the hour. I do hope you will give us another chance. As we do value you as a guest. Please feel free to give us a call on your next visit.
