Enjoy our very roomy, 1,500 sq. ft. lake level private guest suite, in our Owner occupied home, only a 3 minute walk from Dusty's Landing
Watch boats, canoes, kayaks and fishermen float by while enjoying our water level patio. Our 3 bedroom (3rd BR is is available for 3 or more additional "paid" guests), 2 baths, fireplace, "large foyer used as 2nd BR", living room, and fully stocked kitchen all with water view and walkout patio. Laundry, WiFi, local TV and Roku, pontoon rental for a water visit to lake restaurants and bars. Fishing on 230' sea wall with fishing equipment provided

-💰$ Base rate covers 2 GUESTS OCCUPANCY (2 QUEEN BEDS), EACH additional guest is $25 per guest, per night up to 8 GUESTS (4 QUEEN BEDS).
-MAXIMUM 2 DOGS ALLOWED $25 fee extra for cleaning + $50 REFUNDABLE PET DAMAGE DEPOSIT.

-Check in is 4PM, check out is 11AM - flexible

-Help reduce plastic pollution. We provide Apec water filter system which lowers TDS (total dissolved solids) to near zero for your drinking safety and enjoyment.
_ONE CAR ALLOWED IN DRIVEWAY AT ALL TIMES. PARK TO THE FAR RIGHT WITH YOUR NOSE LINED UP TO THE YELLOW PAINTED LINE. Car #2 may be parked parallel to the first car. See photo

Bring your own boat, kayaks, canoes and paddle boards or rent from one of the local marinas. Some even offer free delivery.

We are near Firestone Country Club, minutes from the areas finest dining and night clubs, a short drive to Canton (20 min.) and Cleveland (35 min), Akron/Canton Airport (15 min) and Cleveland Airport (45 min). Easy day trips to visit NFL HOF, Ohio & Erie Canalway, Cuyahoga Vally National Park, Akron Zoo, Cleveland Zoo, Cedar Point, Rock & Roll HOF and Cleveland sports teams. Fine dining, wine bar, lake bars, fast food, burger joints, Pav's famous ice cream all less than 2 miles. Turkeyfoot Golf Course only 2 minutes away. Groceries 4 minutes away.

The property was exactly what we needed for our trip. Space was equipped, large and relaxing. Friends and family wanted to come visit us instead of us needing to go visit them. One friend said it was like a little vacation for her too! We hope to be able to stay here again!

Beautiful property, exactly as pictured. Cookies were, indeed delicious. There were 8 of us and plenty of room for everyone. My adult children fished, lots of beautiful birds to watch. We were there for a family wedding and were only 10 minutes away from Tudor House venue. Our hosts were delightful to talk with. If we are ever back this way again, we would definitely stay here again.

Spacious lodging in a beautiful private residential area

This rental consisted of the entire ground level of a beautiful home situated on back waters of a very large lake. In between a wedding rehearsal/dinner one day and the ceremony late afternoon the next, we were able to relax and enjoy the many amenities for multi-generation guests.The the plate of "welcome to our home" cookies were delicious! Thank you!

Great Ohio visit

Great stay.! All amenities were as communicated and then some. Hosts left fresh baked cookie bars at initial check in. Only negative was towels in Master Bathroom seemed not clean, but we were able to changeout with other towels in closet. We look forward to another visit in warmer months...

Great place!

Cute place with a great view and nice accommodations! The owner left us cookies and were very responsive and helpful throughout our stay. The area is beautiful and plenty of places to eat and explore.

Not as peaceful as we had hoped!

Upon arrival Dave stepped out to say hello and introduce himself. It was nice to be welcomed. Entry into the unit was easy and the instructions well communicated. The unit itself is well appointed and stocked with about anything you might have forgot to pack. There has been a good amount of consideration put into conveniences made available to the guests. Cleanliness - It was clean, but showed signs of not having received a deep cleaning in a while - cobwebs in the bathroom, dog fur on the couch, stuff on top of the carpet (traffic areas vacuumed) and the countertops needed wiped down. Gnats - Once settled in we started noticing gnats (various sizes). I spayed some cleaner in all the sinks and let the water run for a few minutes. This did greatly reduce them, but never completely eliminated them. Noise - Sliding door in the unit (residence) above - the sound of the door opening and closing really comes through to the downstairs unit. It was not too bad while the primary residence where there. But they had a family gathering and the opening and closing of the door had become unsettling. Combined with the stomping of children's feet on the floor and an occasional toy being dropped on the hard surface floor above was disturbing. The weather had turned bad and everyone had to go inside. We sent the owner a text message at 9:50pm and the noise almost immediately stopped. He replied in the AM saying he missed the message, but believed everyone had just left.

Wonderful weekend

We chose this location as a nice place to stay for a family wedding held at Tudor House on this lake. Enjoyed the patio and having a common area for our family to gather - way better than a hotel! Thanks for sharing your home!

We grew up in the area and took advantage of the recreational activities as children. Wife is a life resident of the area. We moved back to the area after military service and bought a water lot in 1987.

We have a rich history of 100+ years which connects us with the Ohio, Erie and Pennsylvania/Ohio Canals, Delaware Indians, Portage Path, Ohio Dept of Wildlife, Portage Lakes State Park, Connecticut Land Grants, the Western Reserve, prohibition, farming, coal mining and water sports.

Today, most residents living in the area will tell you they live in Portage Lakes which encompasses the cities of New Franklin, Green and Coventry Twp. If a resident tells another Ohio resident they are from Portage Lakes, most will know where you live. When given the official name of your resident city, the majority will have no idea where you live.
During the 1980's and 1990's a transition from weekend cottages to upscale modern homes began. As Carolyn Vogenitz, author of 'Portage Lakes Then & Now' has stated, it became a sardine & caviar look. Many a new upscale home might sit next to a tiny cottage dating back to the early 1900's.
