Welcome to the Chateau Below in beautiful Carroll Valley, Pa. We are located beside Liberty Mountain Ski Resort and surrounded by the Carroll Valley Golf Course. We are the only privately owned rental home located steps to the slopes. Our 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath home situated on 2+ acres is available for weekly and weekend rentals throughout the year. Free parking on property- walk to the slopes, golfing & 3 great restaurants/taverns. Our chateau is beautifully furnished and decorated by a professional designer. You can enjoy the 2 electric fireplaces, Free High Speed Internet, Cable TV on 3 New Flat Screens, One TV for gaming only. High Ceilings with wood beams, and cozy Lodge Decor. Relax at one of our outside dining areas or in our sunroom- all with majestic views of the slopes, greens and pond. End your day with a cozy fire in our fire pit, or chairs for reading. We are only 8 miles to Historic Gettysburg and 10+ minutes to 3 great wineries. We have local areas for Fishing, kayakers, bikers, skiers or hikers at Caladonia and Cunningham Falls State Parks . We are close to Apple Harvest Festival and all of Northern Maryland's favorite spots. Once you stay here, you will rebook again and again.

We had a wonderful six-night stay at the Chateau while attending a conference at Ski Liberty and exploring the beautiful area! The accommodations were fantastic—exactly as described—and had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing visit. The location couldn’t be better, perfectly situated for all seasons. Even though we visited during the off-season for skiing and didn’t play golf, both activities are just a short walk away. The home is just 15 minutes to Gettysburg, so a great location for visiting the historic sites. Our host was exceptional, checking in during and after our stay to make sure everything was perfect. We’d happily stay here again!

We were very happy with the property. The owner takes pride in ownership by decorating for the season. While the house has an unusual layout with an eclectic style it is comfortable and clean. The house is well appointed with furniture and the kitchen has all the necessary utensils, mugs, plates, glasses and appliances. Attention to detail includes Kleenex in ceramic boxes. It is quiet with bedrooms separated in different corners of the house. Very nice landscaping.

Nice small town setting close to Gettysburg

We stayed here while exploring Gettysburg. It was a short drive to Gettysbury but away from the tourist section. Nice sunroom and pictures of property were accurate. There was a nice local restaurant in walking distance. I would not hesitate to stay here if I returned to the area.

Walk to Liberty

Perfect spot for my family and I. Clean, plenty of linens, WiFi was spotty at times but the house had plenty of board games for us to enjoy. We drove the first day to the base of the mountain and realized it's definitely walking distance. House has everything you need for a nice weekend away.

Mom's weekend getaway

A group of longtime friends planned a weekend getaway to visit Gettysburg. The house was wonderful and we had a wonderful stay. All of the directions were great, the amenities were helpful, and it was just a fun weekend. Would highly recommend this place if you are visiting Gettysburg or Adams County. The drive to downtown Gettysburg was about 15 minutes, but was not a problem.
