Very comfortable and met all our needs.
We found the cottage to be comfortable and clean. Conveniently located to restaurants, parks, golfing and shopping. Fenced in yard was nice for our dog and the neighborhood was great for dog walks.
The property we stayed was an ideal vacation rental. The place was really nice, we were close to beaches and restaurants, and the owner was very accommodating! I would highly recommend.
Was easy to tell that the property was well cared for with many updates. The location was ideal for exploring the offerings of surrounding municipalities, shopping, nature and beaches. House came as describe and the house, and things to do books were much appreciated.
We wanted to go back to the Stuart area where we lived and worked for many years. The Stuart cottage was just what we were looking for. Location is centrally located to the beach, downtown and so many restaurants. The neighborhood was very quiet. Looking forward to returning.
Rented before, hope to rent again. Close to everything

Great little cottage.
I wish people didn't know about this place as I'd love it to be open longer. It's a great space...small but functional. And the fenced in back yard is great for my dogs. Beds were comfy and it had everything I needed. Kind of wish that the lights in the bedroom were on switches near the door though as finding your in the dark isn't awesome when you don't know the room that well. But other than that small thing (which isn't that big of a deal)...I'd happily stay here again. It is in a great location.

Perfect!
Clean, comfortable and well appointed rental. This home and neighborhood worked perfectly for us. If I were going to be critical, only two things stand out that need attention, in our opinions - spare bed was not very comfortable and the bikes were not great for more than just around the neighborhood. We enjoyed and appreciated the time and money invested into this rental. It's obvious the owners take pride in this property.

Home away from home
SUPER clean, nicely decorated, immediately comfortable - with everything on hand you may need to live happily in this lovely small home for a week or more. (The very first thing we used were the large wine glasses painted with Stuart's "mascot," the sailfish.) Fenced backyard was great for our dog. Hammocks great for the humans, my husband and I. We spent a lot of time on the side patio, enjoying the balmy Florida air, reading or internet surfing (wifi works great), grilling dinner, watching flocks of white ibis poke around the grass out front. As has been mentioned previously, the king sized bed is insanely comfortable and now we want the same brand (the name of which is helpfully shared in the thick informational binder in the kitchen). Bikes were fun to explore nearby neighborhoods. We also drove over the two bridges to the nearby beach on Hutchinson Island every morning to watch the sunrise, walk the dog and see what the surf fishermen were catching. Loved Stuart's bustling and nearby downtown, just the right size for exploring, shopping, dining out (there are dog friendly restaurants too). Owner very easy to deal with - prompt and helpful replies to email queries. Thanks for a great stay!

Great stay in Stuart
We rented the cottage for 2 weeks in early January. Correspondence with Allison was great, she answered all of my questions before arrival. The procedure for getting into the house upon arrival was a breeze. The kitchen, bath and laundry were all well stocked for us!
The house was clean and nicely furnished, just as pictured. Bedding and bed were comfortable. A great perk is that the neighborhood is QUIET. We enjoyed the outside side porch and using the bbq for dinners.
We did travel with our dog and this is a wonderful dog friendly house with a fenced in yard. But, I would be happy to return here without a dog, too.
The tile floors throughout make cleanup easy.
The location was very convenient. Fresh Market is an easy walk away.
Travel to the beaches is easy by car----all the beaches allow dogs on leashes and there is even an off leash CLEAN dog beach about 20 minutes away. There is a guest book which gives you lots of local information, including beaches and restaurants, in the cottage. We loved walking to downtown Stuart and having lunch (Harvest Table is a fantastic lunch restaurant) or an afternoon coffee/tea and snack (try the Blue Door coffee shop!). If you cross A1A (Ocean Blvd), you can walk into town on beautiful residential tree lined streets the whole way downtown.
Oh, and do not miss Carmela's Pizza/Italian restaurant, which is an easy walk up Ocean Blvd (away from town) from the cottage.

I am happy to hear you had a pleasant stay; Stuart is a wonderful place.
We spent a week in January in this cozy Stuart cottage, we brought our Australian Shepherd with us. It was the perfect property for us. The fenced yard made it so easy for us. We are hoping to visit again. Loved the book with activities and also the menus
The Cottage could not have been any better for us. It was located near everything. Shopping, beach, music, great restaurants and interstate. Allison & HR are amazing hosts. We travel with 3 cats and they loved the fenced in back yard. Any animal would. We would recommend this property to anyone who's looking for a great vacation home away from home.

Allison and HB's cottage hit all check marks when i was searching for a rental in the Stuart and it did not disappoint. Clean, comfortable, well equipped, private sitting area, pet friendly. It felt like i was 10 minutes from anywhere i wanted to go. I highly recommend this cottage, especially if you are traveling with your fur baby. Will look to stay again next time. Thanks for hosting me, i had a great month long stay visiting with my family nearby.
We had a fabulous time and the property was clean and just perfect! The neighborhood was absolutely charming and definitely had us looking at the real estate market in the area. The owner recommended downtown Stuart and we took her up on the recommendation and had one of the best meals and walked around. I would definitely stay there again.
This property was perfect for our needs, well appointed, comfortable and clean. We loved the covered porch, which was the site of almost all our meals during our month-long stay. The location was ideal, close to cute Downtown and in a quiet and beautiful neighbourhood. We will definitely be back!
Allison’s home is well kept and very clean.
Close to town and only 3 blocks from fresh market!
A true gourmet shopping experience.
The walk to town is along a busy street.....we did not do this...
Thank you Allison
Every detail has been considered and provided for completely! The house is immaculately clean, decor is tasteful, kitchen was fully stocked for cooking meals, and the owners responded quickly to a couple of concerns. We used the patio for morning and evening meals. There’s a covered patio and grill in backyard also, and safe place for bicycles. Excellent stay!

About the host
Hosted by Allison Warren
We moved to south Florida in 1987 and raised our family here and love south Florida living. Over the years, we've had many family and friend visitors. My husband is in the real estate business and once our children were independent, we decided to start a short term rental business with homes that we can use for our own guests and renters. I prefer email communication, but we also provide our cell phones if guests prefer to text or call during their stay. This allows the guests to choose how much communication they prefer. I find that some guests are happy with no communication while others prefer to meet us in person. We live in a neighboring community and available in person as needed.
Why they chose this property
Martin County Florida is a beautiful area known for its uncrowded beautiful beaches, friendly folks, quaint historic towns and outdoor lifestyle. Pet and people friendly, the house has 2 outdoor living areas: a covered side patio just outside the kitchen and the former orchid house in the private landscaped backyard. The quiet neighborhood is a nice mix of families, seniors and working professionals with a sidewalk perfect for strolls, bike rides and pet walks. The location is close to everything a visitor comes to the Treasure Coast seeking. The drive, walk or bike ride to beautiful Martin County beaches is just over the causeway bridges providing stunning views which still amaze me even though I live in the area. Historic downtown Stuart 1.5 miles west is the hub of local activity...shopping, restaurants & bars, festivals, special events etc...a nice place to people watch, sit on a bench overlooking the St Lucie River estuary and 'contemplate life'.
Reliable fast WiFi and work desk in front of the window creates a pleasant work space or set up your work space on the covered patio surrounded by tropical plants and fresh air. Beach chairs, beach towels, umbrella, charcoal Weber grill and simple bicycles are provided. Everything is set up for you to relax and enjoy your stay!
The interior was remodeled fall of 2024, kitchen is well equipped, mattresses are very comfortable and linens are updated and refreshed often.
Don't miss the local popular green market and free outdoor concerts every Sunday. All these suggestions and many more are listed in the Thing To Do Notebook. Everything needed for a stay is within walking distance including grocery store, drug store, dollar store, restaurants, bars, shops and even the hospital.
What makes this property unique
The house is located in a safe, friendly neighborhood with tropical landscaping and a comfortable side patio and former Orchid hut in the private fenced back yard. Ready for you to relax and enjoy your stay!
