Hersey/Mount Chase Log Home

Located 4 miles north of Patten, Maine off of route 11, our cedar log vacation rental is situated at the end of its own private 1/2-mile drive besides the woods and fields of Mount Chase and Hersey, 26 miles from the northern entrance to Baxter State Park and Mount Katahdin.
This comfortable 4 season hideaway boast a full kitchen, spacious living room, 2 bathrooms, 3 bedrooms and a den accommodating up to 7 adults with room to spare. Hiking, X-C skiing, fishing, snowmobiling and natural environments are close at hand. Snowmobilers will like our location and connector trail to ITS 83, 85 and 112. The town of Patten offers full services with a grocery, pharmacy, library, churches, restaurants, hardware store and playground. The Patten Lumberman's Museum offers a look at the history of logging with a lumber camp, blacksmith shop, sawmill and a visitor center. Period photos, exhibits, dioramas, and collection of logging tools and machines including horse logging sleds and equipment will take you back to the days of early logging history in Northern Maine.
Foliage leaf peepers will enjoy the crisp air and the star filled skies of autumn and the breathtaking display of Maine hardwoods as the Maples, Ash, and Birches put on their show.
