unfortunately Josh your review is retaliatory. I am sorry you feel that way, but the facts (that are on the platform messaging system can attest to) you inquired about my home, and I informed you that there was no power (due to Hurricane Beryl). However I did confirm your booking, and you approved the payment, which confirms you either missed my previous message or you did not mind that the home had no power. one full day before you arrival and one day after your booking, I contacted VRBO to inform that the home had still no power. Home lost power on July 8th (a day BEFORE your booking enquiry, and therefore we did not have power). Also, all the days before and after your reservation I actually had guests staying in my home. While illogical to most people, most of the city had no electricity for days, some took nearly 10 days to get it back. And, the guests that stayed in my home without electricity were thankful to have stayed given that all the hotels in the area were saturated from all the cancelled flights earlier in the week and all the contractors and electrical teams that were coming into town to help manage the overwhelming demand to get the power back on in the entire city. -.I am truly sorry you feel as though you were scammed, but as a host I followed through all the steps to inform you, on and off the platform, and to make the attempt to offer a full refund BEFORE your arrival. Yet, for one reason or another we (VRBO and I) were unable to reach you.
