Property was just what I needed. 1 bed 1 bath. Had boat ramp right next to building with plenty of parking area, including covered parking for boat with power to charge batteries. Went when water way drawn down and boat ramp still usable and able to get to main lake/river.
Stay away from this property. I stayed in 2 different apartments on this property over 30 days, and it was a nightmare.
Within a day of checking in, I found German cockroaches. Both the treatment outside and the treatment inside after we checked were not effective. We found roaches every single night we stayed in this apartment.
I never seemed to know if I was talking to the owner, a property manager or the person cleaning the apartments. The responses seemed to all come from the same account.
Someone appeared to offer a 20% discount for the situation. In reality she "asked the owner but got no response". Rather than following up with the owner, the whole matter was ignored hoping I wouldn't notice.
Messages seemed to go unanswered. One response we got was "Has [Pest Control] been contacted between 8:41 pm and 6:54 am? No they haven't." The owner/manager/whatever failed to notice they had promised to get back to us 4 days prior.
I refuse to stay at this location again. The whole episode has tarnished VRBO for me. I hope others will learn from our mistake.
