Best Rental House I've Had in DE
Overall, our family really liked this house. First off, the location can't be beat. It's right at the end of the Rehoboth boardwalk, so walkable to the entire town and less than 10 minutes from the outlets and any other store you could want. But, it's still just far enough away that it feels quiet and secluded. Two king beds is rare in rentals, and much appreciated here. The house is large and generally has everything you need, and is well kept - while portions of the house are a little dated, nothing feels old or worn out. The kitchen is generally well-equipped for a rental, the televisions plentiful and relatively new, the furniture comfortable and the fireplace was particularly nice. The views are great from both levels, and there's a LOT of bathrooms. Also, having a garage is a nice feature you don't usually have in these homes as well.
The reason why I take away a star is the heating (and presumably, though I have no experience with this, the cooling system). It's a heat pump, and the home has a large, two-story entryway that the heat pump just couldn't service. The rental company did a great job in accommodating that for us by bringing in space heaters. (Full disclosure: we came during the bomb cyclone in January 2018 and the temperature didn't go over 30 the entire time we were there, so it was probably worse than usual). Heat pumps being what they are, though, and given the results with heating, I have to imagine that it can't fully cool the space either in the height of the summer, which would be a problem for those like me who can't sleep in warm rooms. I'd suggest upgrading the HVAC to something more efficient that's designed to heat and cool the entire space and make it more comfortable overall.
Other than that, the house is great, and we can't wait to come back!
Great location at the quiet end of the boardwalk but only a few blocks to the center of Rehoboth boardwalk. The beach in front of the house was never crowded. Beautiful home with a lot of space so all could have their privacy, kids, adults, teens and dog. The kitchen was small and could have been better equipped - serving utensils and pans. Keurig coffee maker as well as a Mr Coffee Coffee maker. Large deck and the gas grill was great for family cookouts.
A Spacious House in a Great Location
Eight of us stayed here for a week in June, and we all loved it. It is not as shiny and new as some nearby homes, but the ocean-front location at the end of the Rehoboth boardwalk was extremely nice. The four bedrooms are roomy and comfortable. There are three bathrooms upstairs and two on the main level, and most rooms on both levels have access to nice decks. The kitchen was well equipped, and the furniture was comfortable, practical, and attractive. There are two spiral staircases and several steps up and down between rooms. None in our group minded this, but some might.
Thanks so much and we look forward to your stay with us next year!
This house is perfectly located on the extreme southern end of the Rehoboth boardwalk. The boardwalk and beach are not crowded in this area. The beach and ocean are visible from the multiple decks. House is in pretty good repair although decorating could use a bit of updating. Reasonably priced for being so close to the ocean.
