The most wonderful vacation you could hope for

We just returned home after spending a week at Scotch on the Rocks and it is difficult to put into words how much the trip exceeded our hopes. The home is divine but the staff is what truly makes this a trip you won't forget. Cherry is the best cook, Bryan is the most kind and peace filled Butler, Pauline keeps everyone taken care of with comforts of home and the experience was one we won't forget. If you travel to Jamaica, stay at Scotch on the Rocks, even if it means moving your date to stay here, you won't be disappointed! In addition use Karandas Tours and ask for Ryan - the best driver, kind, professional and took great care of us.

Exactly as we’d hoped

SOTR was incredible. Unbelievable views, a great staff (shout out to Akiem) and the perfect mix of relaxation and activities. We brought our teens and their friends as well as our youngest (7) and everyone had an amazing time. The floating dock on the sea was wonderful with several water activities and the location was near many Jamaica highlights (dolphins, horses etc). And in the evenings we played card games together or watched movies on the huge tvs. Couldn’t have asked for more. Absolutely incredible.

An amazing vacation spot!

Our extended family of 10 (including kids, teenagers, and octagenarians) had a wonderful Christmas week at Scotchies. Everything was exactly as described. The property was clean and well maintained and the owner was quick to answer any questions before our trip. Since we were there for Christmas they even provided a Christmas tree that our kids could decorate. We didn't leave the villa often as there was no reason to! The snorkeling is great right from the dock and the two sea kayaks got a lot of use that week. The staff was superb, friendly, and accomodating. The chefs, Cherry and Elvis, were amazing (we wanted to bring them home with us!) and the rest of the staff was lovely too. Scotchies is a hidden gem and we are trying to figure out when we can come back again.

The Absolute Ultimate Vacation

Scotch on the Rocks is the best all-around vacation we have ever experienced. The house is lovely, the dock and water perfect, the staff totally excellent and the food beyond compare. We always have a memorable experience when we visit, and will continue to go every year! Terri Raeder

BETTER than the pictures!

From the time we started planning our trip to Scotch on the Rocks we were saying "I hope it's as great as the pictures make it look." Well we were pleasantly surprised when it was so much better! Scotchie has so much more to offer than can be conveyed in pictures. We enjoyed every minute and we all (9 adults and 4 children/babies) felt truly rejuvenated after our trip. The house is amazing. It's beautiful and spacious. The indoor/outdoor combined living space was where we spent most of our time. We sat on the veranda to drink our morning coffee and watch the sunset while enjoying our evening night caps. The staff rearranged the bedrooms to fit our needs. They're all spacious with en suite bathrooms. The air conditioning and ceiling fans kept us comfortable at night. The house is on a gated property and very secluded with lots of ground between any neighbors (1 other home, Sandals Resort and the Jamaica Inn). We were pampered by the amazing staff. Cherry and Elvis were masters in the kitchen- making delicious, elaborate meals that included separate items for the pickier members of our group. The staff opened the windows and doors every morning and locked the house up after we went to sleep. Pauline kept the house clean, made the beds, and did our laundry every day. In fact, she insisted on sending us home with no dirty laundry. It was such a treat to unpack all clean clothes when we got home! Bryan fixed us delicious drinks, served us snacks and meals, kept the house filled with pleasant music, and was there to tend to anything we needed. He also loaned us his personal fishing rod so we could fish with the kids off the pier. Henry, the gardener, was also a delightful treat. He gave us impromptu tours of the grounds, telling us about all the plants and letting us smell/touch/eat the interesting ones. Although there wasn't a beach at the house, we were able to use a private, white sandy beach that was within walking/kayaking distance and it was pristine. Although just swimming in the crystal clear ocean by the pier was perfect for us. I could go on and on about what an amazing experience it was to stay at Scotch on the Rocks. We not only recommend it, but we plan to go back again… SOON!

Scotch on the Rocks

I took my family to Scotch on the Rocks this summer and was blown away by beauty of the property and the service provided by the staff. Everything exceeded my expectations by far! The view from the bedrooms was incredible. The staff of five, were very pleasant and always willing to make sure our every need was met. The food, especially the fresh fish and lobster, was absolutely delicious! We had great quality family time, swimming, kayaking, snorkeling and just hanging out watching the horizon. I loved the privacy we had, which is so different from the all inclusive experience. All being well, we can't wait for the next time...which we hope will be very soon!

scotchie ROCKS!!!

We stayed at Scotchie in May 2011, and what an incredible experience it was. The breathtaking views and villa were topped perhaps only by the wonderful staff. From the moment we arrived, Brian, Miss Cherry, Pauline, and Elvis made us feel right at home and totally taken care of. The food!!! I can't even say enough about the talents of Cherry - absolute tasty goodness. I would go back tomorrow just for her Jamaican chicken fricassee. (Request it, you won't be disappointed!) This place looks great in the photos we looked at online beforehand, but the pics don't even do it justice. Complete serenity and beauty. Gorgeous sunsets. What an experience. No need to even leave the premises - believe me, you won't want to! We will definitely choose Scotchie again next time we head to Jamaica. Thank you all for the trip of a lifetime!

Amazing time at scotch on the rocks!!!

Stayed at the villa for a one week vacation with a bunch of girlfriends and had a wonderful experience!! The villa was gorgeous and the staff was incredible!! The meals were all delicious, we even asked for some of the recipes. Place was clean, spacious, and just beautiful. Easy access tothe sea was also a plus! I would highly reccomend this place!

An absolutely delightul getaway!!!

My stay at Scotch on the Rocks was nothing short of delightful!!! The staff was warm, helpful and courteous, every meal was delicious, equipped with all modern amenities the villa itself was charming and inviting. I will definitely be back and highly recommend Scotch on the Rocks to anyone seeking an amazing vaccation!!!
