マーメイドの枕は、2015年秋のMy Outer Banks Home Editionに登場しました。 私は「チャームでダウンサイジング」というタイトルの記事について連絡を受けました。 私たちは、幸運にも、中央に折り目を付けることができます。 また、私のコテージは、アウターバンクズホームビルダー協会主催の毎年の「パレードオブホームズ」で展示されました。 私たちは、 "People's Choice Award"と票を投じられたコテージを通して900人以上の来館者を迎え、ジャッジ＆ジャパンが「Builders Excellence Award」を受賞したことをお知らせします。

Check in was not a problem. House was clean, well kept, kitchen with all inclusive pots and pans. Easy to get to beach, it was walkable. Pool in the backyard was amazing with plenty of chairs. Washer n dryer a plus. Would definitely come back!

Great Little Cottage Across from Beach

My friend and I loved this little place just a few steps away from several beach access points. The kitchen was well appointed with you might need (except for groceries). NOTE: while it was disclosed several clicks into the property description, we didn’t read that deep to see that bedsheets and towels were not provided. We assumed, based on the price point, that these items would be included. Despite this lack, we would both definitely re-rent This property.

Great Getaway

Mermaid's Pillow was the perfect beach getaway! This VRBO exceeded all expectations. The location was fantastic, the home was beautifully decorated and immaculately clean, and the amenities were top-notch. We loved every minute of our stay and can't wait to return. Highly recommend!

Perfect Stay in Nagshead

This property was the perfect house for our family. We had 5 adults, one of which is in a wheelchair, and an infant. The house was spacious, accommodating, and was very inviting. It was across the street from the beach access, and only a couple of blocks from the handicap beach access. We had an amazing time, and made lots of core memories. I highly recommend this for your next Nagshead stay!

3 Generations at the Beach

Three generations enjoyed our stay at the house! The beautiful kitchen was put to good use and the pool was a fantastic bonus to have during our stay. The accessibility of the house was important to us, and the proximity to the disability access point to the beach was extremely helpful. We also loved the indoor and outdoor spaces designed well for time together as well as time for folks to have quiet time for themselves - chairs for reading on the back and front porches (with the best cup holders for mugs of coffee and tea in the morning!) Thank you!

Amazing Week at the Beach

We had a wonderful stay at The Mermaid's Pillow. It was our first real vacation as a family of 3. Close beach access and the pool allowed for us to relax with our 7 month old in tow. We would highly recommend a stay at The Mermaid’s Pillow!

Great Cottage in Nags Head!

We had a wonderful stay at the Mermaids Pillow! The house was very clean, well stocked, and in a great location. A public beach access is right across from the house making an easy stroll to the beach. Comfortable beds, clean pool, great working AC. We had a great time! The host was very responsive and thoughtful! We would definitely recommend! Have fun!!

Mermaid's Pillow-Talk

Place was very clean and well appointed; on-line pictures were accurate, but for some reason, do not do it justice. The master shower (designed to accommodate a wheelchair) was even amazing for those not wheelchair bound. The location was fantastic; one block away from the beach. Outside shower was great to get all sand off to keep from tracking in the house. Full compliment of pots, pans, bowls, and kitchen utensils to prepare any meal. The pool walls could use fresh paint. Although pool water itself was clear and clean, it had a brown tinge to it due to the color of the walls. The numerous pool and porch chairs were very comfortable and could accommodate quite a large party. Great place to stay! Would highly recommend.

Beautiful accessible cottage!

So happy with our choice of Mermaids Cottage. Loved the location on the OBX. Central to both North and South adventures. We needed a smaller accessible property and this was perfect. The ramps and thresholds both front and back were easy for the two wheelchair users in our party. I loved the bathroom. Shower was the best I’ve ever experienced. Safe floor and didn’t flood the entire room.

Since building our home we have a new son-in-law who is a quadriplegic. Our home is not accessible and their visits required staying in hotel. We decided to build a handicap accessible beach cottage for the use of our family & to put in a rental program. Our belief is that there are many families and/or individuals who will benefit from such a cottage. Whether is be a wheelchair, walker, cane or artificial limb. Although it is totally handicap accessible it is also the perfect cottage for those without disabilities.

Unique, cozy, affordable & conveniently located. Beach access is a short walking distance away with ramp leading to viewing platform. Open floor plan on ground level with master bedroom/bathroom. Covered porches front & back. Rear ramp make for easy access to pool deck & backyard. Plenty of parking.
