Wonderful stay

Loved the house and area, rented it again next year. Everytihng was clean, all that you needed was there, I had an amazing stay.

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Whispering Waves great location. Not as clean as it should be. Ants and spider webs.

Must be content with weak wi-fi and ants

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Sanctuary Vacation Rentals is a first class agency with uniformly professional and pleasant staff. They are a pleasure to work with. Unfortunately, this particular property has seen better days. Since a month-long stay there last year, 12 months later it has fallen into a state of disrepair. In addition to being overdue for a “refreshing”, the wi-fi has become weaker and less reliable and the ant problems in the kitchen and the master bath has worsened. A shame as Whispering Waves is located in an ideal location.

Thank you for your review. December was unusually cold month in our area requiring heating systems to be left on more than usual. I am sorry that the home's heating system could not keep the master bedroom temperature to your liking. Your House Managers apologize that the windows were not cleaned properly before your arrival, they would have addressed this issue right away if brought to their attention. The roof and gutters are being addressed this week, thank you for sharing this information. We are pleased that you enjoyed your stay and found our home nicely furnished and well equipped. Please feel free to reach out to our management team directly should you have further concerns.

The house was in a wonderful location, was clean and very comfortable. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful, and provided us with whatever we needed. They even gave us Christmas cookies, a Poinsettia, and candy as we were there over the holidays.We would highly recommend Sanctuary Vacation rentals, and would definitely rent through them again.

Nice home in Gorgeous Carmel

The neighborhood’s is quiet and surrounded by beautiful properties and gardens. With two bedrooms and baths, the house is comfortable for parties of 2-4. Sanctuary was very responsive when we asked for a few additional items needed for our stay. Hope to return.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: What a lovely rental. Absolutely spotless and so cozy. Great internet for working remotely. Far enough removed from the bustle of Ocean Ave. yet we could easily walk there in under 10 minutes (and to the beach in 10 minutes too!) PS it's actually more spacious than the photos make it look. We would absolutely come back.

CHARMING

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I wish we could stay in Whispering Waves forever! It was a perfect retreat for our family. Tranquil, charming, easy walk to downtown. Seemed larger because of how well the home was laid out. The yard could have been maintained better. Lots of older, dead plants and leaves, dirt around, including the furniture. Sanctury was was always quick to respond to anything we had a question about, however they did leave the gate open and their key lock box was left open, which made me a little nervous. If you book this property you will be happy!

Cute house.....

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Nice kitchen, nicely equipped. Nice LR and fireplace. Beds are comfortable, nice linens.The master bedroom is very cold as there is no heat to it. There’s a radiant fireplace and portable radiant heater that help, but within minutes of turning them off it’s very cold. So...we stayed in the second bedroom after the first couple days.Be advised in winter months, the heat in the home has to be on almost all the time as it gets quite cold.When we arrived, the windows were quite dirty...and nothing was done. The roof and gutters are full of pine needles so when it rains - which it did a lot - they overflow.

Great Carmel vacation home

This is a fantastic rental. Pictures are representative of the property. Although this property allows pets, there is no evidence of it in the condition of the home and decor. Conveniently located close to downtown and to the beach. Very quiet street. Well appointed with everything that we needed. Thank you to the owner for sharing your property. We hope to be able to make a return visit.

Spend a Perfect Month in Carmel

The owners of Whispering Waves have added all the details to their place for a comfortable stay. It is not only beautifully decorated but has bedrooms and a kitchen with everything you could need. With two patios you are able to sit in the sun or shade and in the front you can hear the ocean. There is a lane across the street that takes you on a quick walk down to the beach and a within a five minutes you can be on Ocean Avenue so the location is perfect. I had a couple of questions and was able to meet the manager, Pravinesh Singh, who was readily available to assist me with anything. It was a magical and relaxing vacation and I highly recommend this property.

Stress Evaporates at Whispering Waves

Delightful doesn't even begin to describe how lovely our stay was at this Carmel home.   My girlfriend and I escaped from Palo Alto with another couple to Whispering Waves for the weekend and we never wanted to leave. The drive to the property was straightforward and clear. The house is right off of the main street in the town - making everything within easy walking distance. When we arrived, much to our delight, there was wine and fresh gourmet goat cheese and crackers waiting for us!! The rooms themselves were nicely apportioned. The living room had a wood-burning fireplace, two plush recliners, and a cozy couch. The kitchen was fully stocked with brand new utensils, cookware, dishwasher, gas-burning stove, clean oven, gigantic refrigerator, and packets of coffee and tea ready for the next morning. Our bedroom (the master bedroom) had an electric fireplace, full bathroom, and cozy king-sized bed. The guest bedroom had a queen-sized bed and was next to another full bathroom, making things easy for a group of 4. My favorite part about the place overall though was the skylights: Practically every room in the house had a skylight so natural light was always flooding through the house. As far as location is concerned - everyone LOVED where the house was situated. A 5 minute walk in one direction would place you smack in the center of Ocean Avenue with coffee shops, boutiques, restaurants, art galleries, and wine tasting rooms literally surrounding you. Another 5 minute walk in the opposite direction would land you on the beach. The morning run through the neighborhood and up to Carmel Point was fantastic. Watching the fog roll back from the sea along a green, rocky coastline from a smooth sand beach was arguably one of the most gorgeous views we'd ever seen. If you need a break from any kind of stress at work or just want to clear your head in a cheerful place, Whispering Waves is absolutely for you. We cannot recommend it highly enough.
