Located on a quiet cove with great access to the water. All rooms were well appointed and comfortable. The kitchen while a bit small for our group was well stocked to make our meal prep easy. The outside cooking options were fun! Would stay again if in the area.

We will definitely be coming back to this house! It’s a beautiful, family-friendly home with plenty of room. Everything was very clean, comfortable, and well stocked with everything you could possibly need.My favorite part was the basement mini-apartment. It has its own bathroom, mini fridge, TV, and living area, plus a private door with access to both the house and the outside. It was such a great setup!Five stars for sure! We absolutely loved our stay and would highly recommend this home!

This house and property were even better than they looked in the photos! The house is beautiful, spacious, and offers multiple indoor and outdoor spaces to kick back and enjoy the lovely setting. We traveled there with 4 grandchildren, ages 7-14 and they all had a blast! Opportunities for swimming, fishing, paddle boarding and kayaking during the day and hanging out around fires in the evenings kept them active and happy. The house also has anything you need and a responsive, helpful host. All around, a fantastic getaway!

This place was exactly what my family was needing for a get away. Great location to get to several activities and restaurants, beautiful views, lots of activities on site, very clean and accommodating location, great house set up with amenities, and the host was very responsive and kind. My family loved this trip and we will be back.

The house is beautiful! Multiple different outdoor spaces for fire, cooking, play and gathering Lawn, beach, patio, deck… it has it all! Spacious interior with 6 great rooms and four baths. Beautiful views, quiet and away from the busy area of the lake. Kayaks and paddle boards clean and easy access, smooth water and lots of wildlife. Community cat named Cooper stops by to check in regularly-just looking for love Owners we super easy to contact and very welcoming. 10/10 Great place for a big group!

Relaxing getaway

A beautiful lake house with lots of space to spread out. Close to hiking and of course the water and hot tub were wonderful even in November.

Our trip to the Lake of Egypt home was overall great! The We loved the outdoor spaces and Leslee was wonderful to work with. She responded quickly to every question and even let us in a bit early. The home was clean, the beds were comfortable and there was plenty of room to socialize. The kitchen was extremely well stocked. The one thing that makes this review not excellent is the light at night coming in the master bedroom and less so the bedroom off the kitchen. The master bedroom has no window coverings and there is a street light that shines in the bedroom. It made sleeping difficult for the couples in those two rooms. Still, I appreciated the home and the host!

Thanks for the kind words. The safety light is an issue for us too. We’re working on window coverings, but since the windows cover that entire wall, we’ve had some difficuties.

Great communication with the host. Clean, well loved home with all the essentials and more. We over packed. Loved the log decor and lake theme. Comfortable beds. Dock and beach was fun for fishing, kids playing in sand, and kayaking. Many seating areas to gather for whatever the weather. Would love to stay in summer.

Relaxing Lake House with Great Amenities

Leslee was a very responsive host. The property was well-stocked and very clean with lots of amenities. The beds were extremely comfortable and the towels were nice and plush - perfect for drying off after a relaxing soak in the hot tub!We would definitely love to stay there again.

Amazing Property

Amazing home in a beautiful part of Southern Illinois. The home was well stocked, especially the kitchen! Loved the fire pits on the back porch and the dock for fishing. Close to hiking and wineries.

The property has all what a family vacation needs. It is Big, clean, lake front, cozy and safe.Teens enjoyed the lakefront activities and in-house amenities too. Wonderful stay on Lake of Egypt

House was perfect for our family of 5 plus grandparents. Easily could have accommodated more! House was extremely well stocked and had everything we needed. Great layout and outdoor space was incredible. Lake access was a breeze with the beautiful, large dock and beach area. Would love to visit this property in the summer!

Solar Eclipse Adventure!

The house rental process was easy, communication with the owner was excellent, location was perfect; all the kitchen essentials were available … as we prefer to prepare meals rather than going out to eat. There are numerous State Parks nearby to explore. All in all… a very comfortable and pleasant four days.

Pictures on the posting don’t do this place justice! It’s gorgeous and huge! Plenty of room for two families with 5 teens plus some. Super clean and cozy. Felt like being at home!

We LOVED our stay at this property. The house is beautiful and wonderfully relaxing. So well stocked, plenty of places to sit and hang out with large groups, lots of bedrooms. Having all the lake toys available is a major plus with kids! Owner communication and thoughtfulness is fantastic, they go above and beyond to make it a very nice stay. Our family of 15 stayed three nights and are planning to come back next year. If you stay I would recommend packing some sleep masks if you’re like me and sunlight coming through the windows wakes you, and the drive to anywhere else from here is long so pack everything you need I did have a successful Instacart delivery from Target in Marion though when my daughter forgot her swimsuit! Thank you for hosting us!

Great family vacation home

This house was amazing. Loved the outdoor living areas. Which is where we spent most of our time. Plenty of room inside and out for our entire family. 8 adults and 4 small children. Cooked on the flat stone for supper and breakfast. The dock was very nice with lots of amenities. But there wasn’t enough sitting area out of the sun. But it was very hot, near 100 degrees every day. The swimming area was so nice. The toddlers loved playing in the sand area. We also brought a pontoon boat which we tied to the side of the dock. The lake was so nice. Would go there again.

Our family stayed here for an extended weekend! It was perfect. I highly recommend this house especially if kids are involved. My granddaughters thoroughly enjoyed the beach area if they weren't on tbe paddleboards! The Host was extremely easy to reach!
