Perfect North Georgia Getaway in Ellijay

This was a last-minute spur of the moment decision to get away from my family to the North Georgia mountains for Memorial Day weekend. I’m so glad we found this listing! The cabin is modern, super clean and great for a large families. We really appreciated the accessibility of the front door and ground level bedroom for my elderly parents, as well aa all the amenities. We made good use of the Jacuzzi, and the kitchen! We were a little enthusiastic with searing scallops, which set off the smoke alarm for a bit— the system is sensitive, so make sure you turn on the hood fan and maybe open up a door or windows. Robust fanning with a kitchen towel and ventilation did the trick to turn it off quickly. Although we only stayed one evening, Tom was extremely communicative and answering any questions we had. On the morning we were leaving, there were some severe thunderstorms and rain, and Tom courteously extended our our check out time for a couple of hours even without me asking. The scenery is gorgeous. However, you should note that the drive up to the cabin is very steep/winding so recommend arriving or leaving during the day. We hope to return for a longer stay in the future!

We were drawn to this spot in Ellijay because it feels like the best of both worlds! Quiet, wooded surroundings that let you slow down, but still close to orchards, wineries, hiking trails, and downtown charm. It’s the kind of place where mornings start with coffee on the deck and evenings end under a sky full of stars.

Starry Hollow is more than a cabin, it’s a retreat. Guests love relaxing in the private hot tub on the lower deck, gathering around the fireplace, and watching deer wander through the woods right outside. With peaceful views, modern comforts, and plenty of nearby adventures, it’s a place designed for making memories.
