The "Cozy Cabin."......ask about our September cabin & golf deal !!

Here at the "Cozy Cabin" we offer peace and quiet with our 2-story rustic cabin. This cabin is built just inside the woods on our property. Out in front of the cabin you will be able to enjoy the sights and sounds of the great outdoors. Fishing with our catch and release policy is always a favorite pass time with plenty of large mouth bass and sunfish to be had. Horses and beef cows roam in the nearby pastures for that down home country feeling. We have recently added electricity for a more comfortable stay for our guest. There is no running water at the cabin, however, we do supply 5-gallon containers of water which can be refilled at any time down by the outside shower that we also just recently installed. This shower has been a big hit as our guest have raved about showering under the beautiful country skies. Our old-style cabin has the old-style toilet behind it in the form of an outhouse! Across the road you will be able to enjoy 18 holes of golf at the beautiful and challenging Canajoharie Golf Course. In the month of September we will be offering a stay and play deal and ask that you message me for more details so you can take advantage of this wonderful opportunity. The Lykers Way Restaurant offers fantastic meal choices and cold beverages. We are located near museums such as Fort Klock, Arkell Hall, Van Alstyne Homestead as well as others. Wintergreen Park is only minutes away as well where the popular scenic trail can be found overlooking the powerful waterfalls from the Canajoharie Creek as it pours downstream and dumps into the "boiling pot." You may decide to take a road trip and within 1/2 hour you can find yourself in Cooperstown and visiting the famous baseball Hall of Fame or the Farmers Museum. Many of our guest come here after dropping their child off to play baseball at Cooperstown Dreams Park. Parents love it!!! A simple and easy trip located just minutes from the New York State thruway makes for a nice get away week or weekend where you can relax for a bit enjoying the peacefulness of country living.

We truly enjoyed our stay! The cabin was cozy and my nephew loved fishing in the pond. The campfire in the evening was very relaxing after a long day. We would definitely stay here again!

We really enjoyed our stay! Our boys loved the cabin. Waking up and seeing the beautiful scenery through the windows in the morning was something special. The host was very helpful with any of our questions and made our stay nice and memorable.

I loved the cozy cabin. I came with my best friend, my dog, Penny. We spent two nights at the cabin and can’t wait to come back. I’m a fisherman and enjoy being on the local river and lake waters. Meeting Harold was also great, what a kind person. I love everything about this spot. See you soon Harry and Grace!

What an amazing place to stay at! Me and my pup had such a wonderful time! Grace and Harry were amazing and helpful. I highly recommend this cabin if you want a place to get away and relax in nature. There are many things to do nearby and the property itself has some great activities available :)

Hands down the best place I have stayed in. Not only the place was lovely, Harry goes above and beyond. I was cycling the Erie Canal and he picked and deopped me off from camp. This was the best sleep I have had in a long time. So cozy and comfortable. It was perfect!!’

Great place

This was an awesome little place to stay for the night as we visited cooperstown on our way up to the adirondacks. The property was amazing and our kids loved it!

A place that took us by surprise. We wanted somewhere quick to stay as we drove home from visiting family and decided on this place as a good halfway point. It turned into one of the best nights of our whole vacation. The property is stunning and the cabin is beautifully off the crib with some wonderful luxury touches. The outdoor shower was definitely a great addition and our daughter loved it. Very clean cabin considering its in the middle of a wooded area. Wonderful for family who want to spend some quality time together. We also loved Lucy Goosey! She is quite the character and our family adored her. We will definitely be staying again!

Very quaint and cozy. Harry, our host, was amazing. Provided great fishing and a complimentary bottle of wine. It is an off grid cabin with exceptional service. Would definitely stay again!

Was a good experience. Everything in the cabin was nicely done, geat esthetics. Outdoor shower was fun to use. Bedding smelled fresh and clean.

The area surrounding the cabin was beautiful. Great fishing spot. Cabin itself was equipped with everything we needed and comfortably slept 5. Owner was very friendly, helpful, and easy to reach. Generator was enough to keep out phones alive for 2 nights. Great spot, will definitely be coming back.

We stayed here with our dog while our son was in Cooperstown for baseball. This was everything we wanted. Our hosts were wonderful, the location is beautiful, our stay was comfortable and we would stay here again in a heartbeat. The outdoor shower was amazing. We really enjoyed visiting with the animals on the farm. Fantastic experience all around.

I purchased this property back around 2017. My first intention was to use the land for hunting and fishing but that all changed when I met a woman from Argyle N.Y. Once she came to visit she opened my eyes to other possibilities. She soon convinced me that it may be a good idea to rip down the old house and build a new .We invested in drainage for the property, fixed up the buildings, dug out the pond, and worked the land. She brought her horses down and we invested in a couple of beef cows and hogs to help maximize the use of our land. We married in 2019 right next to the pond underneath the old willow tree. We recently decided to try our luck as owners of a short term off grid rental area in hopes that others will be able to enjoy the love of the country life just as we have.

I have lived in this area my whole life. I also have visited many other areas keeping in mind the possibilities of relocating but this country life in upstate N.Y. is the place for me. Whether I look outside my door and see our animals grazing on the green pasture, a deer crossing the road, a large bass jumping from the pond or the sounds of an owl hooting in a nearby tree it is then that I know I made the right decision for me to plant my boots in this beautiful area.

I'm sure there are many places that compare to the one I call home. I have everything I want and need to live a life of happiness. The one thing that makes this place unique for me is that after working 40 years as an auto tech at dealerships, I walked away (while I was still able to walk) and took the superintendent job across the road. That put the icing on the cake.
