About Cherri Prince
Our family loves living on this beautiful lake and we love to have guests stay in the cottage. We moved here in 2008 and immediately fell in love with this property. My husband wanted to raise our kids the way he was a lake where you can fish, swim and kayak the day away. I am a writer and author of a children's book called Lollipop Seeds that Sprout for Kind Deeds. Hence the name, Lollipop Cottage!
Cherri Prince purchased this Cottage in 2009
Why Cherri Prince chose Citrus Park
This almost 2 acre property is often described as a resort. Our goal is for guests to feel like they are staying in a park, with lush green grass and tropical plants to a gazebo (perfect for our kids wedding someday!) a lakeside hammock and even a zipline. Relax and renew yourself.
What makes this Cottage unique
We fell in love with the sunsets over the lake. We've had the best conversations over a glass of wine in the gazebo. We travel a lot on business so we designed the cottage interior to match what we love about the best hotels we stay in---flat screen tv, roomy sitting area with plenty of sun, comfy bed and of course coffee.

Amazing Property, the owners are super nice.
Everything was perfect here, the only small complain is that the internet connection is really bad. i had to work while on vacation so i ended up at starbucks a few times to finish my work. The owner did let me work from his home one time but i felt bad so just went to starbucks. Everything else was perfect. The lake was beautiful , the room was super clean. very Quite and peaceful. if i could give 10 starts i would.
The cottage is comfortable, cozy and well equipped. Heading to the back yard on the lake is the perfect remedy to a long day. The views are spectacular and sitting on the dock watching the fish jump and the sun go down is so therapeutic.
I highly recommend this jewel!
Lovely, clean, relaxing!
Cherri was very friendly and accessible. The property was clean and beautifully decorated. Kitchenette was beautiful. It has a microwave and small refrigerator but no oven or stove. Just be aware that cooking meals would be difficult. Kayaks and canoe were great and we kayaked around the lake. We visited restaurants in the area and loved the food. We would return.
Frank and Cherri were great hosts! The cottage is well maintained and the lake is beautiful.
We really enjoyed our week at the cottage. It was the perfect location for visiting friends in Florida as well as being extremely close to the airport. Frank and Cherri also allowed us to use their dock at sunset to get married. It was a beautiful setting and the weather was perfect. I would definitely recommend this gem.
My husband and I had a fantastic stay! The cottage is located within 20 minutes of the airport in a quiet residential neighborhood but near restaurants and shopping. The size of the cottage was perfect for us, the bathroom is like a hotel’s and the kitchenette was convenient for snacks and leftovers. We took advantage of the canoe and spent an afternoon and another morning exploring the lakes and canals. We enjoyed relaxing on the dock with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine- there’s a lot of wildlife to see on the lake! Best of all our hosts were very welcoming and we are thankful to have stayed in their lovely home.
My wife and I spent a wonderful week at the Prince‘s guest house. It is clean and cozy, but comfortable for two people. A slight inconvenience upon check-in was dealt with quickly and adequately. Frank and Cherri made sure we had everything we needed.
The weather was incredible so we were able to take advantage of the dock and lake. Whether sitting on the dock with morning coffee or enjoying the sunset with a glass of wine, the sights and sound of nature were relaxing. Very quiet and safe area.
Made day trips to New Port Richey, Clearwater Beach, Tarpon Springs and Dunedin. Also took in the Museum of Art in downtown Tampa along with a walk along the Riverwalk (very nice). Also did some biking on the sidewalk trail and canoeing on the lake.
As usual, the week ended way too soon.
While you will feel like you are in the middle of a rural oasis, you will actually be only 20-30 minutes from downtown Tampa (historic Ybor city), Busch Gardens, Lowry Park Zoo, Tarpon Springs (world famous Greek area) and some of the nations most beautiful beaches in Clearwater or St. Pete. You could even do a day trip to the parks of Disney World (90 minute drive). Plus getting here is easy as we're only 20 minutes from Tampa/St.Pete International Airport
