This spacious ranch offers complete seclusion with 300 gated acres just 3 miles from downtown Wimberley. The exceptionally unique property is an authentic Texas ranch with modern amenities including stainless steel appliances, flat screen TV's, and wireless internet.

The living area boasts a wood burning fireplace and two sofas (one is a sleeper sofa). The master suite also located downstairs has a king size bed, wood carved fireplace, en-suite bathroom, and direct access to the wraparound porch for ultimate convenience. Upstairs, the bedroom on the left offers a queen bed and a large window seat. Connected by a jack-and-jill bathroom, the bedroom on the right contains a queen size bed and a twin bed. The stunning antiques throughout the home have been passed down from generations and add tremendous character to each and every room.

Just across the covered parking area is the guest house with one bedroom boasting a king size bed as well as a twin bed with twin trundle bed. The living area has a flat screen TV, kitchenette, and full bathroom with walk-in shower. Spend your days floating around the sparkling swimming pool or take an evening dip in the brand new hot tub. The kids will enjoy the play-set and the immediate area around the house is fenced so you can let them play worry free.

SELF CHECK-IN REQUIREMENTS: All reservations will be required to sign a rental agreement and provide Hills of Texas Lodging with a valid credit card to be placed on file for their stay. In lieu of charging a damage deposit or non-refundable damage waiver, a temporary hold will be placed on a credit card upon arrival for incidentals (just like they do at hotels). We are basically just verifying with your financial institution that sufficient funds are available in the event they were needed to cover property damage(s). If there are no property damages, the card will not be charged.

The property is an older home that could use a little maintenance, but it was clean and comfortable for our group. The drive to the house is pretty far off the main road, but it’s on a hill with amazing views and a nice breeze from the porches. We loved sitting under the pergola by the pool and watching the wildlife and cattle nearby.

Wonderful Getaway

This is a beautiful home and we thoroughly enjoyed the property. Cows greeted us each day midway up the drive to the house. We look forward to coming back during the summer and enjoying the pool. Overall, a great place to stay.

This place is amazing!! Beautiful property, pool and hot tub were immaculately clean. Guest house was perfect for a family with small children! It is just a wonderful place to get family and friends together! So calm and serene. Loved the whole package and recommend it highly!

Good Vacation

The property sits on top of a hill overlooking the Hill Country. The outdoor views are beautiful. Good location for wine tours, shopping, and dining. It is close to downtown Wimberley. An overall good place to stay for a party of 8. We had 4 adults and 4 teenagers.

Awesome vacation

We had a great time. The house was even better in person and the owners even offered to move us due to a minor repair that they weren't able to fix before our arrival that we barely noticed. The pool and jacuzzi were perfect especially after the Governor closed the river tubing at the beginning of our vacation. We so enjoyed the amazing view, privacy and yard. We will definitely be back.

Loved the house. Perfect for us. Wild turkeys, deer, and cows on the property. Beds were comfy. Plenty of room for everyone. Pull out couch was broken. Wimberly is right up the street with plenty to see and do.

WOW!

My friends and I stayed here to celebrate an early birthday and we had the absolute best time. Upon arrival the home smelled and looked incredibly clean. Nothing prepared us for the beauty of this property, as well as the bonus of livestock and rabbits visiting us. The setting, the pool, the hot tub, and the sunsets were dreamy. We enjoyed nature hikes as well. We can’t wait to visit this property again. It is a true slice of Texas heaven.

Outpost for Weekend Celebration

The beautifully appointed house nicely accommodated our three generational family grouping and the family friends that joined us to attend a nearby weekend celebration. The property description alerted us to the adventurous interior drive between the road and the house, and the cattle along the road reminded us that we were on a working ranch. It was unseasonably hot in Wimberley for early May, but the afternoon breeze by the pool on the hilltop was delicious.

If you want to forget of the city life & have a relaxing time, this is a place to do so. On a hill & no one around for miles. Room are spacious. The house layout was great. Some of the walls needed repainting & furniture needed to be replaced. But overall a great experience.

I really enjoyed staying here and would rent this property again, the location is great, but there were several maintenance issues, which if taken care of would have made our stay almost perfect. I called the property manager the first morning and did not receive a response that day, called back the next day and waited about an hour, did not receive a response, so then I emailed and finally got a response.

Clean, spacious, quiet!

We rented the house for our family to be together for my brother's wedding weekend in Wimberley. There was enough space for all of our families and the mother-in-law house was just perfect for my mom. We loved the wraparound porch and being able to eat most of our meals outside then just go play in the pool. Even though it was hot while we were there, the house stayed very cool and there was ample shade around the house. The laundry facilities and bathrooms were very nice and our bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed running along the driveway and really appreciated the seclusion. Thank you for a wonderful stay and we would definitely come again!

The house sleeps 13 and we had one person who had to sleep on top of a couch. I did not get what I paid to utilize. The house was not clean but the pool was very nice. The management was communicative but avoided answering questions where I feel like they knew they were deficient.

Great family get-away

We had a wonderful time at this nice home in Wimberley. Plenty of room for all 11 of us. We, the parent/grandparents opted for the guest house so that our adult children and little grands could stay up later, and this worked out great! Saw lots of jack rabbits and roadrunners. This hilltop is perfect for kite flying and enjoying the breeze. The wrap around porch is great even on hot days because of the breeze, and the hot tub was wonderful for sunsets. Our entire family played in the pool every day. If I could change anything, it would be to have some place to put clothes in the guest house - there is no dresser and no hangers in the closet, so we were digging in our bags every day. This was an awesome place, and we would love to stay here again! Thank you.

Beautiful property- an escape

We loved the home and property and had a wonderful time with friends. We would stay here again. Only complaint was Property manager didn’t reply to messages on VRBO. I contacted them to let them know that on the first night we used the hot tub and everyone’s swimsuits were bleached and some of us had chemical rashes from how much chlorine and shock product had been put in the tub. It couldn’t possibly be the right amount and we were disappointed there wasn’t any heads up that the tub had just been shocked and we shouldn’t use. Also when we arrived the car port had tons of trash from the last guests im assuming. I would have expected that to have been removed. Animal and bugs had gotten into it. Overall the property was amazing, beautiful and we had a great time.

Nice ranch retreat

The vrbo was as advertised and very comfortable for our group of 7 adults. There were a few issues we had that should probably be addressed. The first was that the dishwasher doesn’t really work. The dishes did not get clean and were covered with a film of white. The second was that the automatic gate up by the house only opened about half the time. We found a button on a box located on the fence next to the gate that would open it. Thirdly, the air conditioner emits loud buzzing noises off and on and kept a few people awake at night. And lastly, you might update your directions to tell renters to input Prosit Ranch, because that gets you to the correct address, putting in the address does not. Once these are addressed, future stays would be less stressful.

Pros: Great location and wonderful breezes with wrap around porch to enjoy all day. Spacious with large dining table. Cons: House needs some repairs and could have been cleaner. Kitchen could be better stocked such as having plastic glasses if that is what is expected around pool. Pool had black algae growth all over. Property Manager argued with me and then sent pool tech the next day. He did put some algaecide in pool and replaced the Polaris bag as it was green. Unfortunately black algae is incredibly hard to kill so the treatment did nothing. We did go ahead and utilize the pool as it is not harmful to humans just incredibly gross. A property at this price level should not have conditions like this and I would not return to this property.

Excellent stay

We had the best time at this property. The atmosphere feels cozy and inviting. It was too cold to swim, but the hot tub was nice. It wasn’t on when we arrived and it took a day for it to heat up, but we were able to enjoy it. The scenery was beautiful and the grocery store was about 10-15 minutes away as well as the shops in Wimberly. The beds were pretty comfortable and the kitchen was perfect for cooking large meals. Due to the rural nature of the property, the internet was pretty slow, but it was almost to our benefit because we were able to unplug a big. It worked well enough for the kids to be able to watch something in the mornings while we all woke up and got ready for the day. We all agreed that we would stay at this property again. I do wish there were more towels available, but I didn’t look super hard to see if there was a stash of them. My favorite thing was definitely the view from the top of the hill where the house is. We enjoyed a little nature walk with the kids. It was a wonderful stay and we were all sad to leave.

Great escape

We had a great weekend getaway in Wimberly. This property is secluded and everyone loved it. The only reason I gave a score of a 4 overall is because the bed we slept it was old/worn and it’s probably time for a new one (the one in the bedroom to the left up the stairs) All in all great house and will definitely rebook this rental.
