About Holly Jason

We have lived in Durango for over 18 years and can help you plan a wonderful vacation for your family. Concierge services included!

Holly Jason purchased this house in 2004

Why Holly Jason chose Durango

The location is very much downtown with three breakfast places within a block, and the local food co-op grocery store right across the street. If you don't want to drive and you want a house instead of a condo, this is your place.

What makes this house unique

Unique decor, and a real house with character. This is a super comfortable house with all the trappings. We have paid much attention to the details: super nice beds and linens, hand made soap, La Creuset pans, Weber Grill, original Art. We have really had fun making this place special.

Darling home! Perfect location!

  • 5 of 5

Darling home! Perfect location! We were only in Durango for a couple of nights, and wanted to make the most of our time. This was the perfect spot to make it all happen - walking distance to shopping and restaurants. A quick drive and get away for horseback riding, flyfishing, and golf. Hats off to Holly for maintaining such a well-appointed, cozy house. We are already talking about a return trip!

Nice property, well located

  • 4 of 5

The property had everything we needed and was about 20 mins walk from the main downtown area so was well located. The only small downside was that it was situated on a more major road than I expected so there was quite a lot of road noise (especially at peak times).

Cozy Cottage, Steps to Downtown

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful place, very clean warm and welcoming. Nicely done remodel. Feels instantly like home. We've stayed in many vacay rentals around the world, this one has such a cozy feeling wished we had time to stay for a whole week.

Owner is very conscientious, easy to work with, and takes care of all the details in a timely manner.

Highly recommended! Thanks for making my partner's birthday extra special.

Perfect home base in Durango

  • 5 of 5

The St. Francis house had everything we needed for our stay, with homey and artistic touches to boot. College neighborhood away from the tourists yet in walking distance and with a great breakfast place across the street. Love to go back.

We were somewhat disappointed with our stay at the St Francis house. We were not able to get into the rental for two hours because we were given the wrong access code and we weren't able to get a hold of the owner. When we finally got in, we couldn't get the window air conditioner to work. Again, we contacted Holly, she was very nice and apologetic, but unfortunately the air conditioner never got fixed. It was hard coming home to a hot house after mountain biking for two days. We were reimbursed $50 but we really felt we should have been reimbursed more. The house is in a nice location but it is quite outdated. We would expect more (at least air conditioning!) for the price we paid.

Not a great summer spot

  • 2 of 5

While the house does fit the cozy and cute advertisement, I'm not sure I agree with the statement of in the heart of downtown. It's a bit east and south of downtown. Fine for adults to walk to Main street, but not a family with younger kids. The busy 4 lane street in front is not what I imagined based on the description, I was hoping for a quaint, quiet side street closer to main street. The air conditioner doesn't work, the 2nd bedroom has a window that is fixed (no operable portion), and what I consider the master bedroom at the front of the house has 2 old windows, neither of which would open. So this leaves the front door to be open along with the kitchen windows to cool off the house. Having the front door open on a 4 lane street with a bar across the street is not the most relaxing vacation experience. Luckily I realized the ceiling fans hadn't been changed to summer direction and fixing that, along with the ceiling fans on max made it tolerable to sleep with the bedroom doors open.
