Unique 2 bedroom in the Base Area, Sleeps 6

The Axtell complex location does not get any better being situated right at the base of Silver Queen lift on Mount Crested Butte. Enjoy additional property amenities like complimentary wifi and an outdoor communal hot tub to observe the base area activity. Strict parking for 1 on-site. There are other pay parking options available, or free parking in the town of Crested Butte.

A unique two-bedroom in the Axtel building with great access to the Resort slopes and trail systems. The entrance is located on the parking lot side, on the fourth floor with ski and bike closet storage on the ground floor, slope side. Upon entering, you’ll step into the living room featuring an electric fireplace and flat-screen TV just above. Additional seating for 5 is available in the built-in granite dining room overlooking the kitchen. Enjoy the fully stocked kitchen, equipped with everything you’ll need to cook a meal. Guest bedroom with king bed located on the entry floor. A stacked washer and dryer can also be found in the guest bedroom closet. Moving up the open staircase that wraps around the living room, you’ll find a bonus loft living room with a couch (sleeper sofa) and chair, and a flat-screen TV. Off of the loft is the entry to the king master bedroom. Complete with a reading nook and flat screen TV for whichever suits your mood. Designer master bathroom with deep jetted tub and custom tile work throughout. Please note, this condo requires quite a few stairs but the location is unparalleled. Strict parking for 1 on-site. There are other pay parking options available, or free parking in the town of Crested Butte.

The FREE Mountain Express Shuttle runs year-round for transportation to and from the Town of Crested Butte and surrounding areas. Axtel is within close walking distance of the main transit center. Summer schedule runs every 20 minutes; winter schedule runs every 15 minutes; shoulder seasons every 40 minutes.

Crested Butte Lodging & Property Management provides the basic comforts of home. Upon your arrival, you’ll find that we supply all linens, towels, and paper goods. This includes paper towels, toilet paper, starter shower kits, coffee packets with powder creamer and sugar, kitchen towels, dish sponges, dish soap, and dish detergent. Can’t get much closer to the lifts

Our family of 4 had a great time staying at this condo! It is well situated and couldn’t be much closer to the ski lifts! I’d stay here again for sure.

Great Location!

Can’t get any better than directly behind the Silver Queen lift. Place was as-described and in photos. Communication for check-in and during visit was great. Only thing that might be an issue for some is that it’s on the 4th floor from parking lot and no elevator. Third floor from mountain side.

Convenient location to ski in and out. It is on the 4th floor with stairs only. But the location is worth it to ski.

Wonderful Location

Beautiful location. Fun stuff - scenic chair lift, restaurants, bars and music is all right there. Be aware there are 4 flights of stairs to get there. With two bathrooms another hair dryer would be an added convenience.

Great 2 bedroom close to lifts. 4th floor walk-up

Great stay with 2 bedrooms and loft area with foldout couch. Worked perfect for our family of 4. Plenty of towels in bathrooms. A larger skillet and hotpads would have been handy when trying to cook dinner for family, but otherwise everything was great.

Can’t beat the location

We had a great stay - can’t beat the location. As other reviewers have commented it is a 4th floor unit and the climb up and down is no joke but once we were settled in this wasn’t a big deal. Loved being slope side, the unit had all the basics we needed. Would definitely book again!

Nice condo, convenient location

Nice condo at the base of the CB resort. Convenient to all mountain activities and two town shuttle bus stops. Definitely personal preference, but we did not find the master king bed very comfortable. Fortunately, the queen bed in the room with the bunks was much better and was where we slept.

Steps to the 4th floor were brutal. This was noted in several reviews of the property so mea culpa. As also noted, air handler from building next door was loud. Unit was well-appointed and clean. Pleasant . Appliances were nice. Beds comfortable. Plenty of hot water. Could use a new skillet. Enjoyed stay. .plplace to stay.

Nice stay at base of Crested Butte

Nice place. We enjoyed having a sitting area to watch TV. Wish there was more of a dining space. The balcony was nice for coffee in the morning and drinks in the evening. Location was good since there was a shuttle into town. Wish there had been more details and information provided on where the shuttle stop was and how often it ran. We googled it and found the information we needed. But thought that was something the host could’ve provided. Kitchen was decently stocked. But I wouldn’t plan on cooking anything extravagant. Good for basics. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

Nice place, great location, but SO MANY STAIRS

This is a nice place to stay in a great location as it's right at the base of the ski mountain. That said, it's located on the 4th floor with NO elevator. Beautiful views up there, but we have a two-year-old who can't climb those stairs on his own. Taking him up and down everyday was quite the task. My husband and I had to take turns loading our stuff in as we couldn't leave him alone in the property or in the car. Phew! The view from the patio is gorgeous, but the property next door has a loud exhaust fan blowing 24/7 which can get pretty loud. If you don't mind the noise, it's a nice view! An extra fan in the upstairs bedroom in the summertime would be helpful as it was pretty warm up there. Overall, this is a great location and pretty nice inside once you get settled. That said, probably not ideal for people with small children or older folks.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo was older but clean and comfortable. The beds and linens were comfortable and the kitchen pretty well stocked for our needs. Mostly breakfast and evening snacks and drinks. There wasn't any hot water in the Master bathroom upstairs, but after sleuthing around in a storage cubby above the loft, I found a valve on the hot water tank that had to be turned on. Problem solved. The condo is on the 4th floor so it felt like we were climbing the mountain every time we went in from the parking lot. Additionally, the master bedrooms was ANOTHER flight of steps up inside the condo. Quite a workout for us 60+ year old sea level dwellers, but we came to Crested Butte to hike, so it wasn't too bad. Just be aware of that before booking this unit. The condo building is located right at the base of 2 lifts but faced the parking lot not the ski slope. The view over the parking lot to the mountains was beautiful when their tops caught the first morning sunlight. Would have been nice to sit on the balcony and enjoy the view with a cup of coffee, but the building next door in the parking lot had a huge loud exhaust fan blowing 24/7. Opening the sliding glass door to sit on the balcony was a no go. We stayed during good (warmer) weather. Upstairs bedroom was hot (no AC) so we had to open the windows and listen to the fan from next door all night. A VERY loud white noise generator.Overall the condo served our purpose of a clean comfortable place to stay for 3 nights while we hiked some of the local trails.
